    IT

So am I, that must mean we don't have IT.
  2. I'm sorry for your loss, it sounds as if Nutmeg was a pretty amazing little girl. Now you have another little bit to love and care for and she for you, congratulations. Do you have a picture?
  3. you ain't right!! but then they say pets and owners sometimes bear a resemblance
  4. I don't know for certain about who reopened the Catfish Den, but I do know that it is in the newer building. It has the big catfish on the sign.
  5. He is very pretty and looks like he is a very spoiled boy.
  6. These are my babies... Mickey 11-20-95 to 12-19-10 Dodger
  7. The Catfish Den must be pretty good because each time I've gone past it they have been busy. I really hope the food is as good as it used to be with the original owners or even better, we used to love that place. We may go next week and try it out. If we do I will post.
  8. My DH left this morning about 5:20 and just called to say Ridge Road must still be icy on the 92 end. He took Laird Road to Bill Carruth to 92 at the Catfish Den, that's clear except for the small bridge on Laird. DH is headed toward Cobb hospital and says the roads are patchy. Be careful out there for those of you who have to get out early.
  9. Yes headlights do that, but the lights from a camera crew are on a different level than auto lights. Imagine driving down the road only to find someone shining a 6 million candle watt flashlight over their head and in your direction. Car lights are generally lower unless it's something like a semi truck or a truck with a lift kit installed on it.
  10. Someone got the memo tonight about driving slow. We got behind someone driving 8-10 mph down Ridge Rd, that's a bit slow.
  11. We were crazy and drove to Folks for dinner. DH insisted because he NEEDED Starbucks after dinner. It all turned out fine, but the roads are iced over in spots.
  12. Orange happens to be my favorite color. I know better than to decorate with it other than during the fall and I rarely wear it, but it is my absolute favorite. ETA that I like red and pink, but I really don't like blue or green. I have a green kitchen, go figure.
  13. Yes I do think it is incredibly fascinating!!!
  14. Apparently it is true that the natural occurrence happened during the time of the plague due to a virus that blocked the plague disease from attacking the cells of those not yet infected with plague. In other words healthy people got a virus before contracting plague, thus saving them from a horrible death. But from everything I have ever read about it states that only approximately 10 percent of the worlds population have the resistant genes. I had a small argument with my Microbiology Professor one year on the need to use this as a jumping board to find a cure. He claimed it would require ge
  15. I think you have gotten some good advice here and I agree with letting the baby cry for a few minutes before rushing in. It will allow you to decipher between the different cries baby's have. With my kids, they are 20 and 11 now, they would always go to sleep when I ran the vacuum cleaner and once they were asleep they would stay asleep.
  16. Yep I know. I must admit, I did not eat my veggies tonight either, just had pizza and I refuse to eat veggies on a pizza. Well, does the sauce count? it has tomatoes.
  17. Well since we don't have any family here, we do whatever we want to do. The last few years we have started making our dinner on Christmas Eve. It consists of standing rib roast and whatever fixin's we want to go with it. This leaves Christmas day to do whatever and hang out with each other, there are four of us, but usually some of the kids friends come visit. The kids open one gift each on Christmas Eve and the rest in Christmas morning. As far as breakfast, it's eggs, grits, bacon, biscuits, either french toast, pancakes or homemade waffles, hashbrown casserole and fresh cinnamon rolls.
  18. Now where are your veggies, young lady? LOL We are having Domino's pizza, oh joy. I am tired of pizza, but I was out voted.
  19. The stem cell from HIV resistant individuals could be the way to get around genetic mutation. This sounds as if it could be very promising for those infected and those who are seeking a cure.
  20. I went to Benson's in Hiram (Rodney's) on Saturday for lunch and the service was great as was the food. I had no complaints. It was on this visit that I found out the name had changed, but it's still the same great food at a great price.
  21. SOLO, you said that so well and with such grace.
  22. Thinking of you and your husband, I wish for you both a wonderful Christmas and a joyous time together. I will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers.
