  1. Love it!...that car is sweeeeeet....!
  2. There's one sure way to stop this...for Commissioner Pownell, Commissioner Collett and Commissioner Crowe to vote NO on every single item of county business until the airport issue is resolved. ...closed...absolutely no county business of any kind could be conducted until the airport is closed, ....no appointments, no budgets, no raises, no new hires, nothing....no new building permits, no alcohol licenses, no commercial developments whatsoever..... Vote NO...it's pretty simple. If Austin votes for something, regardless of what it is, the other three airport opponents should vote NO.... it ma
  3. just wait till 737's fly over at all hours of the day and night...you'll be missing the good ol' days of rednecks and their toys
  4. My wife grew up in Clayton County and her neighborhood went downhill in just a matter of a couple of years. Once nice neighborhoods have now got homes covered in burglar bars. Many homes have been simply abandoned. The Clayton County School System is in shambles. Every evening, some killing, rape or robbery is reported in Riverdale, Jonesboro, College Park, Etc. On every corner there's pawn shops, gold buyers, weekly rental fleabag motels, junky looking car lots, liquor stores, check cashing agencies and strip clubs. Is that the kind of stuff we need here? And don't get me started about "white
  5. I'm glad Barnett lost the election... I only hope the new Board will defund the airport project....
  6. My ancestors were proud soldiers in the Confederate Army. One of my great- great- great uncles was shot by a yankee near Lost Mountain Georgia and he lost a leg. He lived until 1905,
  7. I'm looking to get a small concrete pad poured, approx 25 ft by 15 foot. This will be an outdoor patio where I could put a nice grill, outdoor tables and chairs, etc. Do you know of any folks here on Paulding.com who can give free estimates? The guy would need a Bobcat to smooth out the area and be licensed, insured, blah blah blah. Please message me with contact info... I'd like to get at least 3 estimates, so if it doesn't get poured till the end of June, that will be ok. Thanks
  8. I suspect the pilot was on a suicide mission and decided to take a few folks with him to the bottom of the sea. I doubt it was a mechanical issue because of the last know path the plane was taking...
  9. i hope Collett, Crowe and Pownall win big....and I hope they turn the airport into a football stadium.
  10. Give me a break...the folks on the school board aren't looking out for the teachers, students or the community in general...they're on a power trip and are looking out for themselves. I voted NO on the E-splost extension. It's gonna pass anyways, but I voted against it, it just made me feel better.
  11. I'm against this airport and I'm against the way David Austin kept the post commissioner in the dark about the secret deal. David Austin implies this is a done deal, yet It's not a done deal....there are lawsuits and environmental issues and flat out dirty politics involved in this airport. We need Collett, Pownall and Crowe to win on Tuesday to send Dirty David a message...a loud and clear message.... Ultimately, I hope Delta's lawyers can tie this up in court for about 50 years. We need to elect commissioners who will vote to de-fund anything associated with this facility. I'd cut o
  12. I don't particularly like the guns in church- guns in bars bill signed by Governor Deal I just feel like if a church wanted an armed police officer to provide security, that would be ok, but what about an 70 year old deacon packing heat? He might shoot the piano and then the whole choir would be out of tune. As a baptist, we just can't stand it when the choir is out of tune. All jokes aside, we have police officers in our church and I assume they're armed, but I've really never bothered to ask. I wouldn't personally bring a gun to church. Remember the verse about Live by the sword, die b
  13. Some while back, I recall the powers that be touting a proposed heavy industrial area near Dallas with rail access, warehouses, and jobs galore. Whatever happened? I just heard a train rumbling through Dallas and it made me wonder. My folks live near Marietta with rail spurs up Canton Road, over towards Marble Mill and there seems to be a lot of rail traffic on Georgia Northeastern Rail. We could use some of that action out here. http://gnrr.com
  14. i don't live in the district Tony Crowe is running for, but I hope he wins and can somehow stop Dallas from turning into Riverdale. If the commercialization of the airport isn't stopped, the result will be crime and riff raff all around...section 8 housing, Marta, and so forth. We've got to stop Barnett, Carmichael, Graham and Austin from destroying Paulding County! I support Crowe, Pownall and Collett!
  15. Occasionally I'll go to the KFC in Marietta and get a pretty decent meal... The operator seems to take a lot of pride in keeping his restaurant clean and food fresh and above average customer service...and they offer baked beans as a side item too, Now the KFC in Dallas, well that's another story. The staff doesn't seem to take pride in their work. The food isn't that good and my number one vent is they don't offer baked beans as a side item. Why do some KFC restaurants offer baked beans and others do not. The gal at the KFC in Dallas had no clue as to why they don't offer baked beans.
  16. Mr. Dan Cathy from Chick-fil-A was villified in the media for his pro-marriage (anti-gay) comments on twitter after the supreme court's ruling. Mr Cathy tweeted the following ..."Sad day for our nation; founding fathers would be ashamed of our gen. to abandon wisdom of the ages re: cornerstone of strong societies." The media and the gay rights agenda folks tried hard to boycott Chick-fil-A and blah blah blah.... let's see the results....Chick-fil-A's sales went over $5 Billion, has 1,775 U.S. stores, while KFC has 4,491. Despite a smaller footprint, Chick-fil-A's average sales are more th
  17. Throw some of my tax dollars at Newt Gingrich.... that's what the sun needs... somehow Newt will tell the sun to only flare up on the russians and chinese and leave us Americans alone....lol... pure deception and propaganda... absolute baloney. You can prepare till the end of time, but when something in the heavens happens, it's out of your control.... When the eastern sky parts, it won't matter how much money you have or bullets, food and water you have stored up either. People amaze me.
  18. Maybe we can get some investors to buy into this Solar Flare propaganda...kinda like climate change and global warming...Where's Al Gore? Maybe Pubby could form a committee to study our power grid (once he's elected commissioner)...hmmmm? lol
  19. For all the doomsday preppers out there, don't forget to stock up on liquor. You'll always be able to barter liquor for food.... Even the russians and chinese like liquor. (So does Darth Vader and Chewbacca). They have ray guns and EMP blasters. Remember the Death Star? What a bunch of baloney. There's a sucker born every minute and Newt Gingrich is playing games.
  20. what a bunch of baloney.... one more fabricated scientific hypothesis to releive me of tax money.... kinda like global warming or evolution or the big bang theory .... no proof - only hypothesis. Do you think we should waste a few billion to study it? Kinda reminds me of the money spent studies showing women are more likely than men to squeeze toothpase from the middle rather than the end...who cares? The guy getting paid for the bogus scientific study cares...he's the one making money and somehow, this lily white taxpayor is getting stuck with the bill. EMP...what a joke....like dooms
  21. People can lose their temper when discussing contentious issues at church. (sometimes folks get riled up at the quarterly church conference.) Ususally it's over non-sense, but they can spout off nontheless. In some churches, there are entire families who basically control the church rather than abiding by the decisions of the deacons. If a preacher ruffles the feathers of a certain influential family member, they'll get run off. Do you really want to add guns into the mix? I don't see anything positive about allowing guns in church. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tV-GEp5PAcQ
  22. I just finished Si Robertson's book Si-Cology.... and that guy is a hoot. I also real Phil Robertson's Book "Happy, Happy, Happy: My Life and Legacy as the Duck Commander" and Willie & Korie Robertson's book " The Duck Commander Family: How Faith, Family and Ducks Built a Dynasty"
  23. I'm not in favor of allowing guns in church (unless the church hires an off duty police officer). If you are too scared to attend church without packing heat... your too scared. When it's my time to die, I'd rather get shot sitting on a church pew than sitting in a whorehouse.
