  1. First congratulations on your wife finding a job during these tough times. Second a rant of mine on our Government spoon feeding us camouflaged data. My son like your wife was out of work a long time then found a job that also pays much less and he travels much farther. He now has NO benefits. However our Government is quick to tell us it's all good because the unemployment rate is coming down. I feel in reality we are far from an economic recovery. The reported numbers of less jobless claims being reported weekly do not reflect those who have found jobs that provide a much lower lifestyl
  2. I for one was extremely excited to get a text message last night that she had been found safe and especially alive. When my mom was in her 70's she told me many times I would always be her boy. That was her way of saying her love for me was unconditional. Now that my mom is gone I cherish the times she told me this. I too have that same unconditional love for my 2) sons and 7) grand children. No matter what they do I will do WHATEVER to protect them as a result of my love for them. If missing, I will go to the ends of the earth to find them. If it later turns up they were at fault, w
  3. Agreed Vinnie is by far the most honest mechanic I have ever known.
  4. I heard this location will be a tunnel entrance.
  5. I wish I lived in Hiram. If I did I would vote for you. I know there are tunnel entrances close to the Dallas Wal-Mart, Rockmart Wal-Mart and Rose's Store. I've also heard rumors of tunnel entrances at Dobbins AFB and in Carrolton. Will Hiram ultimently have a tunnel entrance? Seems like Hiram would be a logical choice in the interest of national security.
  6. I've got to disagree with you. The family is terribly discouraged not knowing her whereabouts. I pray she is found safe. I had 3) adult children. 2) boys are still with me. Even with both survivors being over 30) they are still my kids. I would go to the ends of the earth if 1) were missing.
  7. We just finished supper at Chicken World. We both had a chicken finger / wing / chesse stick combo. Meal was WONDERFUL. Enjoyed visiting with Jonathan.
  8. Can't help but wonder... Did God bless Wineguy with good taste buds?
  9. Exactly right... We ran into terrible customer service in a NC location while on vacation. Never set foot in a store here because of a rude NC manager. Sorry local folks lost their jobs but I just could not make my wife go in to one of their stores here. I hope our good local people find better jobs soon. I do hope the local folks are able to quickly erase the bad customer services they learned from Food Lion before they join the work force elsewhere.
  10. My wife had intense knee pain in the late 90's and early 2000's. Her's were due to the cartlige (sp?) being gone, she had bone on bone. Basically the pad between the bones was gone in both knees. She tried every home remedy suggested by every friend and family with no improvements. The insurance company did not want to pay for knee replacements so they directed the doctors to try all kinds of therapy and injections. Finally the halogen (sp?) injections worked. When they only lasted a week or so, the insurance company approved 1) knee to be replaced in Sept 2001. The other knee injections
  11. I too know the hurt of being let go and lies being told to justify their wants. For me it would have been much better if they would have told the truth which was they wanted to take the company in a different direction and I was not part of their plans. I knew for months I was a square peg in a round hole. So why not just tell the truth? I knew I did not fit in and they knew I was to not be part of the new direction. For me I now realize I could not see God's hand all over this. I've got a friend who describes a similar situation... For a year or more he said "why did God let them do this
  12. Trying to figure out where you are at... Close to Tractor Supply? You open during lunch tomorrow?
  13. We were there in the summer. I think this area is called River Falls. It's right in the heart of downtown. It's beautiful.
  14. So sorry for the little girl's family's grief. At least they have total closure. This way the creep or his representitives can't show up years later to file an appeal. We had friends years ago lost their son at the hands of 2) or 3) thugs. For years the family kept getting brought back to court for new trials because every time the thugs cases would be declared a mistrial over a trivia point or there would be an appeal. It opened up the wounds again every time they went back. Finally they gave up, then the prosecutors laid a guilt trip on them because he needed the family there
  15. They started back on the Yorkville to Villa Rica Tunnel 1/1/12.
  16. Bags on the side of the road never bothered me... Until now.
  17. It's always interesting to read the varying degrees of service and satisfaction often reported on products and providers in any format including Paulding.com. Earlier this week there was a topic here on Paulding.com asking about reports of outstanding services provided. At least 2 of the local business' mentioned where readers had received outstanding services, I had received inferior services. Since the topic was to discuss outstanding service, I remained silent on negative issues. Hardy Dealerships has been mentioned in this topic. I have been a customer since 1989 and have always r
  18. Marotti's Auto Repair. Vinnie is the most honest mechanic I have ever known.
  19. I do not have any experience with Mercury or Enterprise. Henderson Collision I totally agree with you. They are great.
  20. Fire Drill at the Wal-Mart Tunnel Entrance.
  21. Several years ago my daughter bought a new set of tires from Jeff at Quality Tire. Just a couple days later she died suddenly and unexpectedly. He husband could not keep the car so it was decided to let it go back to the bank (which is a terrible customer service discussion not appropriate for this topic). Jeff heard about our loss and got in touch with me. He still had her old tires on hand. We got the car to him, he put the old tires back on it, sold the new tires for what she had paid for them, and he donated the swapping of tires on her car and mounting of her tires on the ne
  22. When locking in you might want to consider someone who will lock in for 9 months. I have locked in during late summer for several years. I locked in late August early September at 56 cents / therm. Gas supplies / inventories were high and a mild hurricane season was forecast.
  23. I for one have seen prayers answered. I am praying for this family. I truly believe God will honor our prayers. Jeff helped us in the deepest, darkest hours we have ever experienced. In the moment of answering a night time phone call we were awakened and rocked and thrown down like we never imagined we could be. As soon as Jeff heard of our loss he helped us materially and he prayed with us and for us. Had prayers not have been answered our family would never have seen the joy we experience together today. I'm praying Jeff's family will see Gods blessings in ways they never dreamed.
