I got an Iphone in Feb. Great having email and computer all the time. Phone is worthless when I am working outside. Can not see the screen when in bright sun light and when my hands are dirty or wet the screen does not detect my finger. I have to go inside, wash and dry my hands to pickup missed calls. iPhone most likely is great for someone who works inside all the time. I am stuck into a contract now, wish now I had gotten a blackberry.

If you accepted the meals the way they were delivered to the table and finished the meals, I would say you handled it correctly. You ate the evidence. Listening to the President on the news and listening to old Commissioner meetings where Jerry would say "it's like free money, not one penny of local budget or sales tax money spent" sounds like they both used the same speech writers. They both act like they believe "the little people" are stupid. The president will just print more money to solve our local problems. Yes the old county landfill was where the transfer station is now located. Lots of monitoring wells, lots of ground water contaimination problems. David Austin tells us in his State of the County Address there is much environental work and $ to be spent on this old site in the near future. If I am not mistaken Seven Hills is not built over the old landfill, but it is certainly in the same area or neighborhood. The old landfill was not lined like modern day landfills, so I would expect it is reasonable to assume the ground water runs under Seven Hills and the old landfill.

We have visited Fatbacks several times. Food and service were fair at best. Could be each time we visited we happened up on them when their A team was out of town. For overall best meal and service, time and time again my favorite is Dogwoods. For overall good food everytime where they do not have servers my favorite is Briar Patch. For best breakfast my favorite is Martin's. My favorite steak house is Texas Road House, but only if Pete is there.

My hats off to Commissioners Ragsdale, Powell and Graham. They voted against awarding the contract. Already this term they have approved this contract with a considerable savings to the taxpayers. This is what all 5 commissioners were voted in to do. Provide services to the taxpayers with honesty, openness and accountability.

I wonder if he does, if he will run the campaign again that David Austin is a big, bad developer?. He can send back out all the Jerry Tubes that were returned to him this past campaign.
