  1. Sounds like it is now showing status for your ethernet connection. Bruce
  2. if you need auction items feel free to hit me up. Bruce
  3. If it is during the week you can pick it up at Movies 278 and get to marta in Atl. . Many of us on here commute to downtown so if you can work it out during one of our commutes I am sure you can catch a ride.
  4. If all you do is us the internet it could replace a laptop but there are serious pitfalls if you do more. I was at an event Apple sponsored where the fed us all lunch and had several I Pads for all to try. Perhaps the 2nd or 3rd generation will fix some of this but right now there is still a lot to be desired. My first thought was I could use it with a small projector but then the apple presentation program does not play with Power Point, there is no PCMCIA slot so if you have an air card for your laptop it will not switch over. You have to buy their air time when you may already have At&
  5. I always get the 2 pack of KC Master piece at Sams and we all love it. Bruce
  6. Tell your husband at least they only come in with flashlights needing batteries. A friend worked at Radio Shack and about once a month and older woman came in to have them replace her batteries on her "toy" Bruce
  7. In the computer business we call them VARS, value added resellers. You can pay a little more and get someone to back it and help you through. Today many do not see the value to their time or others and want a super low price with super high service, being in service you already know this. I really lost respect for some local store owners when I saw how they complained about their stove service like they got ripped off. I then watched the same folks rebuild after damage, They wanted it done as cheap as possible and got just that. I came in after and they were bad mouthing a contractor when they
  8. Very cute! You can also make purses from them...woven kind of zig zag. I saw a tutorial online the other day. I saw a lot of them for sale a couple of years ago when we were going to the Atlantic Station Open Markets. The smallest one was about $60.00! Maybe 10" long and 5" high, no width. They looked like they were made out of bar codes and bubble gum wrappers.
  9. What a very strong woman! She is a role model for all our young women...I'm very happy for her that she has a beautiful 3 month old little boy and the adoption went through as a single parent so he is all hers. Plus she filed for divorce...again, GOOD FOR HER! And she still wants to co-parent his children when possible...she certainly has a good heart. Not many women could do that. As for the divorce, I hope she gets it as soon as possible so she can move on with her life and be totally happy. She deserves that!
  10. I can sing the praises of Dr. Jeffrey Tharpe at the Wellstar facility in Dallas. I have been seeing him for over 12 years now and it is so great to go in and he knows Bruce and myself very well. We are more like friends when we go in and he is an AWESOME doctor! If your insurance covers him, definitely call and make a new patient appointment with him. 678-945-8200. If I call by 8:30, they can always get me in to see Dr. Tharpe or his Nurse practitioner and he usually comes in to say hello regardless. Very personal, wonderful bedside manner. I would say is around my age...40's. Love him!
  11. You could see a woman walk by, then a man right on her and then he runs fast back towards the camera and the homeless man falls down on the sidewalk. Turns out he was trying to help the woman so she would be attacked and was stabbed in the process. It is horrible that all those people walked by and did nothing, not even call the police to come and check it out for hours. The worst part is his life might have been saved and a picture on the NY Times for trying to help a woman. Very sad. Big difference between NY City and Upstate NY...that is why people from Upstate make sure to tell you they
  12. It is so nice to have someone locally who not only does alterations, but mends clothing too! All that aside from carrying the Tux rental and formal dresses/bridal gowns, you are such a great person to have so close by! Scarlet

He also was a life saver for the Grace Baptist Church School Dance Recital at the Dallas Theater on Sunday. He was asked to fill in at the last minute and he did a great job. The girls were from Toddlers through Grade School ages and he did an awesome job announcing and filling in the "gap" time with a few illusions too! It was great to see him and say hello. Very nice man...wonderful MC!
  14. Hope you are feeling well soon RNG!
  15. Evan finished on two wheel but after the races crashed on the triple, broken thumb, broken wrist, chipped shoulder and a bruised elbow.
  16. We watched Brandon, it is always fun to see him race. Evan did not qualify but we still had a blast, that time off hurt when he broke his collar bone hurt him but he is coming back quickly. We hung out with some locals and some folks from Iowa. There was a 3 year old that took the main and Mr Parsons was there, always great to see him! Sunday starts at 8 am as many travel and want to get on the road or catch flights, usually wraps up about 1. Thanks for the letting me know it was hard to find times, I will pass that on to the ABA.
  17. Just got in from the first night, there aqre riders from all over the country there and today was just the pre race. If you have kids you need to take them, tomorrow will be olympic riders and PROS!!!
  18. I'm sorry I couldn't attend Pat, but I know it was a great time! For those of you who have not been by Pat's Shop, you really should stop by! She has beautiful and high quality dresses, tuxes, and other things. Plus she has dressing rooms so you can try everything on! She picked beautiful colors for the walls and it is just a very comfortable place to be. Congratulations on your Ribbon Cutting Pat! I know you will do well!
  19. South Beach is beautiful a fun place. If you have a car and want to drive to Key West, it is really fun and only a 4 hour drive. A beautiful drive through the Keys. I spent a few days at each place and loved them both. We stayed a few blocks north of South Beach on the beach pretty reasonable, but that has been a long time now. Hope you have a great time!
  20. This will clear it up quickly, used it many many times. Mix some tea tree oil in with clear Caladryl, you can get both at walmart. The tea tree oil is sometimes near vitamins. You can use just the tea tree oil but it is very drying.
