I'll update again tomorrow. Thank you for all of your prayers!

She had a kidney stone in the upper part of her kidney that was found earlier this year, but it was in a place that wasn't bothering her, so they decided to it be. It wasn't until she went to Paulding ER that they found it had grown and was lodged as her body was trying to get rid of it. That is what caused the initial infection. My husband only has 1 kidney. He was born with only 1 and at some point he had a high fever as a child and only 3/4's of it is functional. He also has high blood pressure which feeds off the kidney and visa versa. He sees a specialist at Emory every six months.

Her kidneys had failed by the time she got to her Urologist, who sent her directly to Douglas Hospital and her lungs collapsed, so they put her on a dialysis machine and ventilator. Then transferred her to Cobb as they had a 24/7 dialysis machine for her. Her kidneys have been working on their own for about a week or so now and they took her off the ventilator and the sedatives that had her asleep. She is awake and aware of everything going on. She is of course very scared, but she is in good hands. Her doctors and nurses are very attentive. If she is doing well by Monday of next week, th

Are you going on the Fantasy Ship? I was looking at cruises and it looked like they had it in Charleston. That was the first ship we went on for a 3 night trip to the Bahamas and we were addicted and didn't want to get off the ship! They completely refurbished the Fantasy last year with the really nice mattresses and down comforters! I'm jealous, wish I was going! OH...you can take your paperwork to the Powder Springs Post Office and they even take the pictures if you need it. Also the Buckhead Post Office. My son sent his in and got it back in 4 weeks. I heard the fees went up...we

I have put off saying anything about her arms and legs (I have known from day 1 about), but I know she has a lot of friends on here and her husband posted it on his FB page. The infection that Lisa had was extremely bad. At some point, she lost oxygen and blood flow to her extremities, her fingers and toes. They were black when I first saw her and her husband had told us at that time that they only expected her to lose her fingers and toes as they were black. When I talked to him last week, he told me that gangrene had set in. Last Thursday she had surgery to amputate her legs...one abo

We LOVE the Eastern Caribbean route and have gone on it 5 times! Usually hit Nassau (or a private "Cay" island), St.Thomas & St. Martin. We did take a Southern Caribbean route to St. Martin, Barbados & Martinique, which we loved. We have cruised 3x on Carnival (2 were the larger, new ships), 1x Princess (Caribbean Princess...not impressed) and the last cruise we went on was Royal Caribbean Mariner of the Seas...which was GREAT! Our kids went on the Liberty of the Seas with RCCL this summer and loved it! On the larger ships, Carnival isn't so much of a party ship, the 3-4 day cruises

The special pricing is only good for 12 months and then it almost doubles for the last 12 months. I had forgotten about the On Demand...that was great. They had a lot of free movies there too. Chances are we will go back to cable next April when our contract is up and do the bundle package. We have the bundle through AT&T, but it is very little savings from having everything through Comcast. Hubby hates it when we have a storm...no direct tv. It will go on and off during a storm.

I saw him on Opra a while back. He had a face lift and eye lift and he doesn't even look like himself anymore...sad.

We were however in the top 10 Hottest City's to live in (temperature). It was on CNN yesterday saying how many days in a row were over 90 degrees for June, July and through August 18th...Glad it is starting to cool off at night and in the mornings...looking forward to fall and wearing sweaters again!

This one will give you all the craft festivals for the State of Georgia. If you pay now (I just checked the site and they have gone up a lot for a year subscription, but I would take the 6 month one and you will get updates and emails from them after it runs out) you can get updates for next year as it runs from the time you sign up and 12 months after that: www.events2000.com. That is where I found all the ones that we used to do. If you want just local ones, www.jrmmanagement.com is a good promoter. All their shows are run great and they even have breakfast for the vendors. Hope that hel

On Survivor one year, Pearl Islands, Johny Fairplay (that's what they called him) cried and said his grandmother had just died and really needed to see a family member and they gave it to him...It of course came back to haunt him and it will with Matt. I love the show, we watch every episode, 3 times a week. It's always interesting to me how people behave when they are thrown in together. I'm guessing Brandon will be gone next week...to be with his beloved Rachel...I don't get that attraction at all! lol

I went to the doctor a few weeks ago with the same thing. He recommended 2 things: 1) Drink lots and lots of water. It is the best thing to break up the drainage, and 2) get a netti pot (at any pharmacy or w/mart). It helps clean out the sinus cavity. Hope that helps and you feel better soon!

I hope that that these people get lots of time in jail. That is unbelievable. I was upset yesterday when my granddaughter got off the school bus and found that she had been ignored in class after having diarea (sp?) earlier in the day and raised her hand to go to the bathroom for a 2nd time only to be ignored and pooped her pants again and had to sit in class and then had to ride the bus home sitting in filth. I can't imagine children living like that on a daily basis. Very sad story. Hopefully the children will get the help they need in a different, loving home.

I saw on one of the morning shows (probably cbs)an interview with one of the past winners of Survivor this week that he received stem cells as he had lymphoma (sp?) and is now cancer free. I hope the research continues in the right direction and is used to help cure many of the diseases that affect people. It is very promising research.

Every year we have to pull out our marriage license because we can't remember if it is Sept 5 or 6th! I remember it now because last year, I pulled it out thinking it was the 6th and it was the 5th! We have in the past gone on trips just the 2 of us when we could afford to do so, but now that I am not working at a law firm, we do simpler things at home, which is always just as fun! As long as we are together, it really doesn't matter to me what we do.
