  1. Congrats on the new job, I really hope you get it and it all works out for you!
  2. I wonder if you call Direct TV directly and tell them to send you a verification letter that you have not had an account with them...would that help any? Just a thought. I'm sure Direct TV will not like having others scamming people in their name. Just a thought.
  3. Ours did that earlier this year and it had lots of rust in it and had to be replaced, it was 16 years old (it was a gas hot water heater, so it were a little more expensive) We found the best deal at Home Depot and got a larger tank that is more energy efficient. It does take 2 guys to install it because it is so heavy. I want to say it is a 50 gallon tank and was about $350-$400.00. The tankless ones are great, but pricey...about $1,000 for one large enough for our house (2 stories plus basement). We had someone pick up the old tank for scrap. Good luck!
  4. Hey Pat! I just sent one of my customers to you today for alterations. She works at the Chevron at 61 and Hiram Sudie Road. I picked Shelby up and had to stop to get gas and of course ice cream for Shelby (lol) and she looked very familiar and when I told her I had my shop at your place, she immediately remembered me and knew you were there. She asked how much your alterations were, and I told her I didn't know but told her she could find you here and give you a call. Hope things are continuing to go well for you and that you enjoyed your vacation! Talk to you soon! Scarlet
  5. Latest Update. I spoke with her husband Daryl earlier today. I assumed Lisa was off of the ventilator, but she is still on it. I did get it right on the 50% oxygen that they are giving her. They are hoping to take her off of it in the next day or so. She is opening her eyes and blinking when her husband and kids ask her if she understands. She is completely off the dialysis machine and her kidneys are working much better. They are also hoping to take her off the sedatives again later today and see how she is. They have now found some sort of virus (not airborn) and are treating her for that a
  6. We get them too. If you get another one, do not open it as it has a virus in it. I opened mine and then immediately ran a sweep and it caught a trojan virus. It didn't affect my computer luckily. Also, if you get anything from "Paypal" or "Ebay" about your account, do not click on the link, as it takes all your information from your computer, including passwords, etc. Go directly to those sites and log in if you are concerned. Hope that helps. SH
  7. Hey Pat! I see you have made some new purses and they are really nice! I didn't see the pretty light green one you made with the ribbon and bow at the bottom. That was a beautiful purse! I'll stop by sometime soon! Really glad your business is doing well, you are very talented! Scarlet
  8. The newest update we have is from Allen's FB page. She is off the respirator and breathing all on her own and getting about 50% oxygen, so I'm sure they have an oxygen mask to help. But that is an INCREDIBLE hurdle for her! They got her off the meds that had her asleep, but she was very agitated and moving too much so they put her back under. Thank you all for your prayers for Lisa and her family. Every prayer has been heard and will continue to be heard. She has come a very long way in a week's time, so please keep her in your prayers that her body will continue to heal. S
  9. I have a taser you can borrow...LOL You are on the right track, just keep consistent and he will break. My daughter had a tough time in K as she was dealing with our divorce. I still have the not on the frig her teacher sent home that said she had a good day, it was dated Dec. 4. It was a long Fall but she is now an amazing young lady.
  10. I have not been able to speak with Lisa's husband yet today, but have left messages. Here is what her son Allen posted this morning: Getting a shower and heading to the hospital, shes doing better i saw her last night and she was looking better, they lowered the medicine thats keeping her sedated and i was talkin to her and i could tell she was trying to talk back but she just couldnt do it, but shes gonna be ok Please continue to pray for Lisa and her family. This is great news, but a long road ahead. I hope to go and see her tomorrow. Thanks again. Scarlet
  11. No biggie, I had something for just about free that is decent. I would rather it go to a student that need once but can't afford it then someone that will just re sell it for profit.
  12. Prayers said. I am so sorry for her loss.
  13. Since I was married when I turned 16 (1 week before), my first car was a 1979 Fire Bird Formula, blue and an awesome car! I didn't drive it a lot, but when I did, I really liked it. Here is a pic of one like it, only this one is in white. It had the same motor of the Trans Am at the time...it would go from 0 to 60 in just a few seconds! lol Scarlet
  14. Thanks again everyone for your prayers and kind words to Bruce and myself as well. They are always appreciated! I just spoke with Daryl, so here is the update: The doctors have started taking her off of the sedation and she is moving her head a little. There is brain activity from tests run, however they really won't know to what extent until she is completely off of the sedation. They turned down the respirator to 40% from 100% so her lungs are working, just not at 100% yet. There are other issues, but unimportant until she recovers from the primary issues. While there are signs
  15. If you know them and they are still looking contact me here via pm.
  16. Thanks again everyone. So far, no update since this morning. I know they are all tired and I didn't want to call and wake any of them up in case they fell asleep. I will keep everyone posted. The boys are doing well...they are the absolute love of her life. She adores them as much as they do her. I appreciate everyone's prayers for her and her family. Please continue to pray for her, I will absolutely update this. Creative One...Thank you, we are doing well. I have spent the summer with our granddaughter and am just now going to get busy again making stuff. I enjoyed every minute with
  17. I met her about 5 years ago, our kids raced BMX together. She later met Scarlet as a customer and that quickly lead to her becoming a great friend. Just so hard to imagine as it happened so fast. Thanks so much to ALL of you for the support, Scarlet is having a tough time with this one. Bruce
  18. Yes, Austin in in 10th grade and Allen is in the Marines, he is home now. Thanks to all for your prayers, Lisa is very special to both of us. Bruce Hilicus
  19. Thanks Karen, I appreciate your prayers. Bruce and I are doing well, I had Shelby ALL SUMMER and it was wonderful! We spent every day at SunValley Beach and when the weather wasn't good, we went to movies or took a day to stay home and relax. I'm going through empty nester's syndrome now! lol Hope you are doing well also.
  20. I recommend Ridgeview also. Private hospital and yes, they do take payments. Very good facility and excellent doctors. I wish them the very best of luck in their recovery.
  21. Thank you so much! It was heartbreaking seeing her today, but I am thankful that they let us back to see her.
  22. I don't post a lot anymore, but I had to post this today. Without going into a lot of detail, Lisa is in ICU at Cobb Hospital. She has been on life support since Wed of last week. She has renal failure and lungs have collapsed. Lisa is in very critical condition and I am posting requesting your prayers for her. Many of you may recall her being at the shop with me a lot last year helping me make soaps, or label them or just hanging out with me. So please pray for my friend. Every prayer is heard and she needs every one right now. Thank you for reading this and more importantly for you
  23. I see Dr. Cai at Emory. I work downtown but even if I did not I would still drive there to see him. I also see a cardiologist there I am very happy with. Bruce
