About once a year we get ants that come in our back doors from the upstairs deck and head straight for the kitchen a path about 5 feet long. We put baby powder down along the door sill and on their path. They hate really dry stuff apparently and don't like to cross the baby powder. We leave it down a few days then vacuum it up. It usually takes care of it.

I realize time is short but if you are good on a computer consider buying your own program like ProShow Gold 4. I've used it for 2 years now for personal use and love it. You can crop, rotate, zoom in or out, include video, add music, create title slides, choose transitions, specify or automate slide and transition display length, animate fonts, fit a certain number of slides to a certain piece of music and much more. Note: if you use the free download you will have the words ProShow Gold or Photodex watermarked across your show so only use the free download for practice to see if you like

Cobb students go back Tuesday, teachers go in on Monday. I'm looking for something to do with 3 of my kids for a last hurrah. Any suggestions?

http://www.realtor.org/government_affairs/gapublic/homeowner_afford_stability_plan "On February 18, 2009, President Obama announced his Making Home Affordable Program (MHA), designed to help up to 7-9 million families avoid foreclosure by restructuring or refinancing their mortgages. In doing so, the plan not only helps responsible homeowners behind on their payments or at risk of defaulting, but prevents neighborhoods and communities from being pulled over the edge too, as defaults and foreclosures contribute to falling home values, failing local businesses, and lost jobs. Do you have a heat pump or a furnace? Sounds like it might be a heat pump. http://home.howstuffworks.com/home-improvement/heating-and-cooling/heat-pump4.htm "The heat produced by heat pumps isn't as intense as the heat produced by a gas or oil-burning furnace. Some people used to traditional furnaces are uncomfortable with the milder heat produced by these systems. Other people prefer the warmth produced by heat pumps, because heat pumps distribute heat evenly throughout the house, meaning there are no cold spots. A heat pump also should turn on and off less often than a gas furnace

Not sure but I think the calculator may be asking you to claim "dependents" not yourself. It should automatically calculate you into the equation as you progress through the filing program. I think you'd leave the dependents section as a zero.

If you have kids and are over 30, what do you think of this...

I'm expecting a tie-in to the current health care takeover and the associated costs. FYI: I am totally against this legislation. Also, I would not participate in such a deal as outlined by the OP. -
Hundreds expected on the Old Courthouse Square
bigocobb replied to nicholascolephotographer's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Is it $5 per child or $5 per photo? I'm wondering if I can have more than one child in the photo at the same time. Thanks. -

Sure, go for it. Between now and the time you leave you should change a tire on the truck and a tire on the camper so that you know you can do it on your own, if necessary. Also, prepare an emergency road kit with jumper cables, basic tools, electrical tape, emergency lights, bottled water, blankets, road flares, and whatever else is recommended (I'm sure there are lists online). Also, consider joining AAA for emergency road service, or adding it to your cell phone plan, or vehicle insurance.

Thanks, too. I'll be in touch with them, also. PCom is the place to go with questions!

Thanks! I had no idea what to call it other than rocks. You've opened up a whole new world...there is much information on the internet about this (now that I know what to call it). I'll get in touch with this company on Monday. Thanks, again.

Need to place large rocks like you see on the side of culverts and bridges to keep dirt from washing out. Anyone know where I can buy these. Need to line about 50'of ditch in various spots. Edited to correct measurement.

VOTE for Spirit of South Paulding Marching Band
bigocobb replied to LtD's topic in Paulding County NEWS
The winning band will play in the Fan Plaza not on the field so I guess they won't be doing a marching show. Will the band have to pay for the transportation to and from Turner field? Will they have to be in uniform? I'm looking at this from a logistics perspective because sometimes winning entails a lot more work. http://www.wsbtv.com/highschool/21403819/detail.html -
Thanks. I read all that earlier but I was looking for something that specifically said you must change it. I realize now that we are subject to the restrictions of whatever license we hold no matter our age and it is up to the license holder to be aware of those restrictions and the ability to change the license. Makes sense in a "government" sort of way.

I spent some time this morning searching the http://www.dds.ga.gov/ looking for the rules or law on this and couldn't find it. Do you know where to find in writing that the license must be changed at 18 and what the fee is? Thanks.

Congratulations Band of Gold! Way to go! I can only imagine how your hearts must have hurt today yet you performed beautifully.

This is so awful. Prayers said for the immediate family and the band family. What instrument did she play? Is she in this video? Beautiful music! http://my.wsbtv.com/_Hiram-High-School-Ban...10956/6690.html

Wow, sorry for you and your kids! Mine have all had the seasonal flu vaccine and I am debating about the H1N1 vaccine that should be available next week. Were your kids tested and found to be positive specifically for H1N1?

When you say "write off" on your taxes to what are you referring? A business has expenses for many items including use of a car and those expenses must be factored in to calculate the final profit. Would you have the OP not claim the expenses of using a car in her business so that she pays higher taxes at the end of the year? How about the expenses of purchasing materials, should those not be factored into the final profit/loss?

http://www.floyd.org/breastcenter/mobile.html http://www.floyd.org/breastcenter/appointment.html Not sure where you live but here is another option. If you are in a different county than what they list, call them anyway. I like that they do not require a physician's referral/order for a mammogram. P.S. They need a webmaster who can spell...notice the title on the top of each page: The Beast Center!!!

WEIRD! My broom standing in the middle of the floor!
bigocobb replied to GeorgiaTornado's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Makes me want to run to the store and put all the brooms out in the aisle. Imagine how powerful your kids will think you are if they watch you tell your broom to "Stand!" and it does!! -
Well, now we're talking! I am looking forward to attending with my kids and seeing both bands perform. Good luck to both teams. ETA: How much does a ticket cost? Is parking free? Are hamburgers half-price at the end of the game? I love to get a few burgers to go.

OK, so we were planning to come to this game because it's close and I expect Paulding folks to be nice (we are neighbors after all) but now...not so sure. Y'all are just kidding, right? BTW, the HHS football team hasn't had a great season but our marching band has. HHSMB won 1st place at the Western Carolina University BoA Tournament of Champions in NC this past weekend. They'll put on a good show for you.

Perhaps you should call the Florida DOR in the morning and sort this out with them. To speak with a Department of Revenue representative, call Taxpayer Services, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., ET, at 800-352-3671, or call the service center nearest you. http://dor.myflorida.com/dor/taxes/vehicle_sut.html Who is Exempt? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here are examples of motor vehicle sales that are exempt from sales and use tax: The seller delivers the vehicle outside of Florida.
