  1. I don't know what grade this is for but in 6th grade this is one of the Performance Standards that would relate: 6-8 Mathematics Georgia Performance Standards DATA ANALYSIS AND PROBABILITY Students will demonstrate understanding of data analysis by posing questions to be answered by collecting data. They will represent, investigate, and use data to answer those questions. Students will understand experimental and theoretical probability. M6D1. Students will pose questions, collect data, represent and analyze the data, and interpret results. a. Formulate questions that can be
  2. I've not made arrangments but would probably opt for cremation if I had to choose. I've told my kids/family to do whatever makes them feel best. However, I'll probably make plans for cremation eventually so they won't have to decide. My mother has told us she wants to be cremated. She has purchased a spot in a columbarium that her church built on their property. It's a small concrete and brick wall-like structure with cubbyholes to fit an urn and can be sealed up and have a nameplate or whatever on the front. I guess these things are available at cemeteries but I'm happy her church has o
  3. Evites are great for a casual event. For a formal affair I would still want a paper-in-the-mail invitation. I like Facebook's setup for invitations where you can respond and see who's going/not going/may be going. However, unless all the invitees are on Facebook it might not be the best.
  4. Really funny photo. I picture someone in there on the phone not realizing the bridge was opening. Probably still on the phone screaming and crying at the point this picture was taken. All he/she had to do while it was going up was to continue driving forward...they were on the right side of the road to keep moving lower unless they'd already made a U-turn at the top!
  5. This isn't necessarily a travel tip but I always put the litter pan inside a draw-string kitchen trash bag. Then fill the pan with litter so that the litter is actually sitting on the bag in the pan. When you need to empty it you simply pull the bag around the litter (sort of inside out if that makes sense) and you still have a clean litter box. Safe travels!
  6. Anyone know of any specials going on this week at a place like Pump-It-Up or Jump4Joey's or another similar place? Thanks!
  7. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,532543...test=latestnews Madoff arrived at a NC prison facility Tuesday morning. He had a brief stay at an Atlanta prison while being transferred from NYC.
  8. I think skate rental is optional. Reading NYGal's posting I get the $13 for what the other poster wanted. One skating at $5, one PlayZone (what we lovingly call the hamster cage) at $5, and $3 for skate rental for only the one skating.
  9. Wow! Rather than projecting your anger about your own situation onto the original poster you should print this out and hand it to your son. Take control and refuse to let him have that power over you. I never get the feeling from any of the OPs posts that she is reacting to her mother in the way you desciribe.
  10. I don't know what Brooks store is either. Please elaborate.
  11. Thank you! That does help. I'll print it out and keep it on my fridge for our next trip.
  12. I like Sparkles atmosphere but I gotta say, everytime I go I am soooo confused by what I am charged. I had coupons last time for B1G1 and wanted some kids to do two things, some one thing, and others three things. I never did understand how it was calculated and went in feeling very confused and unsure that I got what I wanted at any discount. Did I miss a big sign showing the various charges? Are there any package deals? There should be...maybe a triple-play deal if you do the skating, lazer tag, and playzone. Am I the only one?
  13. Planning to attend one day this week. What does the square say about adding Lazer Tag and Playground? It doesn't list a price. Thanks!
  14. I've never heard of taking honey for allergies. How does it work? My son is on a ton of medicine and gets allergy shots every week.
  15. The original post reads just like every other e-mail scam intended to separate you from your money.
  16. We were there this morning. It was great! You have a really nice assortment of jump-ons. Some are huge and were so much fun for my older kids. Even the 3 y.o. got on some of those by following his brother. You have the most playthings of any jumpy place we've been to in this area. Thanks, again, for a great time.
  17. Are the Life Flight helicopters blue and white? At 12:10 today I saw a blue and white helicopter fly over the Brookstone area at Mars Hill and Stilesboro Roads in Cobb. It was coming from the general direction of Pickett's Mill heading toward Marietta. Hope all are well.
