I've had that happen as well. But usually I have them look at me real funny when I pay and include coins with it. I always have coins in my change pouch and will generally apply pennies and such to get where I get quarters back. I always need quarters. They usually just give me a confused look. I just reply with key it in, there is method to my madness. Then they see the quarters as change and say I get it now. Frequently followed by a how did you do that so fast.
