While that is fin and good... The primary job should be the economy. But Repealing Obamacare in order to assist or promote economic growth is acceptable. Putting Repeal first would be a mistake.

It seems that Obama care may have just given me a competitive advantage on the other lawn guys. Seeing as most do not carry their own insurance. Really!! Look at it this way... If they had HC and paid out of pocket for a good price of $12,000 / year let's look at the numbers. Take that and divide by $45 (the average fee per yard) and that means that that they loose the first 5 hours of every week just to cover that cost. I say it will be closer to 10 now. That is 25% of their weekly time, working a 40 hour week. So, my contention is that most do not have it. Since I only do this part time

2 for 2 wow!!! You would think a CONSTITUTIONAL LAW PROFESSOR would have at least gotten one of the 2 right.
-
So let's see... I said I would run the numbers and now I got them. I went from $16,000 to $20,000, with much higher copays but we will exclude them as they are hard to quantify here. That is a 25% increase in 3 years. You say so what... it goes up every year, no big deal. That means 8% per year. Got it? So let's play... I reverse computed the increase to the year 2000 using 8% as the standard reduction each year. Wanna guess how much I paid, seeing as this is a generally accepted trend according to you? Try $7,942 per year. Wow!!! I didn't know how good I had it only 12 short years ago. Let's

25% in three years plus increased copays... yeah sounds about normal to me. Do you want me to reverse compute that trend? Nope... didn't think so. But I'll. Do it for goggles a little later.

Prognisticating... Wanna lay odds on these happining?

A new mil rate increase to cover the additional costs of employee healthcare coverage. Commissioners say that in order to keep up with the new law that they now have to accept as a done deal and can no longer be hoped to br repealed, they will have to add another .5 mil increase to the M&O BUdget. When asked why they said only "elections have consequences get over it". In other news the Economic Development Board has indicated that they expect a surge in layoffs among small business following the SCOTUS ruling on healthcare as they strive to get below the 30 employee threshold where

You have not been paying attention. The first 10 years cost has already tripled. Then add to that the very real probability of emploers dumping employees and paying the fines leaving the government to foot the bill. This is just going to snowball out of control.

FYI Penalties For Failure To InsureFor firms which do not offer insurance any insurance, have more than 50 employees, and have at least one employee receiving insurance subsidies, they must pay a tax of $2000 per subsidized employee. The individual mandate requires everyone to purchase health insurance. The tax is applied to all of a firm’s employees (after excluding the first 30), not just those that are subsidized. For example a firm with 51 employees would pay $42,000 in new annual taxes, and an additional $2,000 tax for every new hire. For firms that do offer insurance, the pena

Costa Rica has a VERY large, diverse and supportive Expate population. And I will likely go there, maybe a few other locations and that sucking sound you will hear in 8 years will be me taking all my money and benefits to support workers in another country. So long Suckas.
-
Maybe you would care to give the entire story on the retirees, but thanks for making my point. The employers WILL dump their employees healthcare coverage and pay the penalty. UNLESS (and that is a really big word here) they are under contract or the employer FIRMLY believes that providing HC coverage is required to make their job opening more appealing to prospective employees. Either way, the days of an employer paying for retired employees HC are now over. Why the hell should they. It will cost too damn much and once they are no longer employees they can not be "taxed" WHOO HOO!!! THANKS OB

Ohh ohhh!!! I know... pick me pick me. The one thing they did we'll was... What was the question again?
-
I have plenty of integrity thanks. But I do know how to "work" the system. I am tired of playing by the rules when so many others do not and the government rewards them and punishes me. Trust me now when I say... I will milk this for everything I can. I will not become dependant upon it and will never again vote for ANY Democrat. And I have voted for many. And my plans to leave this cesspool of a country have just been expidited. That does not mean I will give up my citizenship just that I will be living.g somewhere where the government can't tax me but damn well will have to support me.
-
ABSOLUTELY!!!! Nope... you just set up a minimum monthly payment for the rest of your life.
-
Yeah it is Great for the folks who do not pay for it. For those of us that do pay for it our costs will go up even more. Cobb's went from $16000 per year before Obamacare to $20,000. And that is in addition to all the other increases I pay at the POS. And I and my employer can indeed drop my insurance. They will pay a small "tax" the same as I will. If I remember correctly it will be a few thousand for the employer per employee and a couple of hundred for me. And under the new law I will be able to continue to use the ER at will. Then I set up a monthly repayment plan to the ER. Say $100 . Of
-
Whoo hoo !!! I can now drop my insurance!!!! Since PIBO promised no new taxes and according to the SCOTUS this IS a tax, he obviously LIED. Remember Bush SR? Well anyway, since I will get healthcare regardless, I'll just save my $4,000 per year copay, pay the fine and demand my government mandated healthcare. Yeah boy... I'm gonna save money big time now. The Cobb tax payers are gonna love it too. They will not have to pay the $16,000 that they pay. And if you think there was ever ANY doubt that employers will dump their employees you just need yo watch over the next year. Anyone wanna take be

The power companies used to come out and do inspections for this stuff. I believe it was free. As far as installing it, it is way to hot for this guy. Even if you start first thing in the morning it is still hot in the attic for me. I would suggest almost any roofer / electrician combo. It is not hard but only a general handy man will do both the roof and electrical. Personally I would wait until early spring of next year and finish out this one as is. Insulation work, leave to those companies. You can not buy insulation for what they will provide AND install. I'll do walls and small jobs but

Make sure your eave vents are clear and have an unobstucted path up the underside of the roof. Make sure that your gable vents, if you have them, are functional and not just for looks. If you can find a can of "liquid smoke" you can spray it around likely areas of upward airflow from inside your home like your scuttle hole or attic openings and light fixtures. If you spray it and it gets sucked into the attic, there is a problem.
-
I installed a power attic ventilator in my roof last year. It does wonders to keep the upstairs bedrooms cooler. It sucks in cooler air from the eave and gable vents and blows the hotter air out from the ventilator. That brings down the air temp in the attic over all. Ishould add that you have to have good external to attaic airflow. If the fan can not pull air in from the outside it will just pull your airconditioned air out of your home.

If I were enforcing this law in Arizona, any person (of any race) I came in contact with due to some violation or other legit interaction, I would only start questioning residency if they were unable to provide an ID card like a license or state ID card and they were unable to give a legit address. I might also if there was something specific that indicated they were illegally here and it was brought to my attention after the initial encounter. Other than that, I would have no reason to suspect them of being an illegal alien. But then again I'm not in the minority of LEOs or ex-LEOs that would -
No the President does not set the international market price for oil. He can affect prices directly through Taxes and EPA regulations that affect production costs and a few other direct methods. With that said he can also do much to keep the market stable through Policies, Foreign affairs, Domestic production ( if there is sufficient production at home we will not be as depenant on other nations and subject to market fluctuations) national monetary control. in 2008 a gallon of gas would cost us $2.99 as compared to $3.21 now based solely off inflation which has been largely due to the US gove

If you are driving you MUST have your DL on your person. You can be cited For driving without ( not to be confused with not having a DL)it on your person. Most times they will quiz you fo the proper information and / or 2nd means of ID. They will run you by name and DOB and if it is ok, they will likely give you a warning. I am unfamiliar with a code section that says you must have ID on you at all times. That generally only appies to out of country visitors and that is a Federal law not state.
