Thanks Christine... but he actually did most of it. He's the one who started putting the brown rice, more vegies, sugar free ice cream etc in the shopping cart. We also like a lot of different types of food and he is willing to try almost anything (I introduced him to spaghetti, acorn and butternut squashes). My husband has type II. He controls his with diet. He stopped eating as many "white" foods as he could... that's white rice, pasta, potatoes, bread. He started eating more brown rice, whole wheat pasta, sweet potatoe and whole grain breads. Make sure the bread has real grain in it, not just whole grain flour. Yes, it's not legal to cross any of the yellow lines on a road, with one exception and that is when using an either direction left turn lane (AKA the suicide lane)... The red beans and rice were good, but I don't like green peppers and well, they just had too many for my taste, so I won't get that again.
