  1. I had knee surgery last year (injured in a car accident). This is when they found out that the cartilage under my knee cap is totataly gone. Because of this I am in almost constant pain. Usually it is a constant low grade ache, but at night, it is often worse. I usually take generic advil at night and nothing during the day. When it gets really bad I will take a pain pill when I go to bed, so I can sleep, but I hate doing that. I put cold on it when it gets really bad. When I talked to my surgeon and to my therapist, both of them told me that swimming is the best form of exercise tha
  2. Is he taking any medications? Some of them have depression as a side effect. Take a list of everything he is taking (including dosage) to a good pharmacist, one who will spend some time with you and review ALL of the medications and supplements that he is taking. Sometimes a medication that is fine by itself will cause depression when taken in combination with something else... This is a good idea for anyone who gets their medications from more than one pharmacy or takes suppliments that the pharmacy doesn't know about... Make sure that he has a good physical, there are other illnesses
  3. Thanks Christine... but he actually did most of it. He's the one who started putting the brown rice, more vegies, sugar free ice cream etc in the shopping cart. We also like a lot of different types of food and he is willing to try almost anything (I introduced him to spaghetti, acorn and butternut squashes). He was never a "meat and potatoes" type of person, so getting rid of the white foods wasn't to hard. He's the one who checks the lables and puts back stuff with too much sugar or too many carbs! I was the one who found out about the agave and Truvia and if I find out about something
  4. My husband has type II. He controls his with diet. He stopped eating as many "white" foods as he could... that's white rice, pasta, potatoes, bread. He started eating more brown rice, whole wheat pasta, sweet potatoe and whole grain breads. Make sure the bread has real grain in it, not just whole grain flour. Eat at least 3 meals a day, with 2-3 small snacks. You want to spread out what you eat, so that the sugar levels don't spike or drop dramatically during the day. Make breakfast the biggest meal and dinner/supper the smallest. You should be eating like this: breakfast, small sna
  5. There is a reason the price for 3D has dropped... people just don't think it is worth the extra $$$$ I personnally do not think it is worth it.
  6. If you wait until July, things settle down a quite a bit. It seams to be less crowded and the employess have the routine down. Or you could wait until August, Paulding schools will be back in session the first Wednesday in August and that should reduce the number of daycares that take their kids by a significant amount.
  7. Make sure you get recordings... otherwise it's his word against yours and as you found out... it will just keep happening.
  8. I went a while ago and I agree about the shrimp po'boy. It was very good. I want to go back and try some of the other seafood that they have been advertising on their "blackboard" outside!! I just haven't had time, yet!
  9. Dated my ex for 6 years, were married 2 years (separated 10 months of those 2 years), divorced and tried to reconcile 1 year. Met the love of my life on Sept 30, 1997, started dating in November 1997. He bought the gemstone for my engagement ring the first weekend of December 1997, had the ring made in January 1998. Officially engaged on Feb 14, 1998, married Sept 19, 1998. Daughter born Sept 3, 1999. Just celebrated 12 years of marriage and 13 years of friendship. We would have married before Sept, but we were married in the Church, and had to "jump" through a few hoops before we
  10. Hm, take food away from my kids to fund a trauma center? Since I haven't worked in over 2 years, we are NOT getting food stamps and we are counting every penny we have, I think I would much rather feed my kids! So I'll be voting no for any and all new taxes that I can vote on! Paying a tax to fund a truama center = $10 Feeding my kids several decent meals for that same $10 = PRICELESS!!!!
  11. 5 very large, very loud barking dogs, several shotguns and several different handguns! Plus a neighbor who doesn't work, who is known to be crazy, and who keeps an eye on all the neighbor's property.
  12. There is a place called Taylor's on Highway 61. It's on the right just over the Bartow County line. The place over by the Paulding Hospital is never open. Although they are supposed to be open on Thursday. They were not open on Tuesday when my husband went to sell our cans, he found out about Taylor's and took them up there. Taylor's paid him $60 for 150 pounds of aluminum cans on Tuesday.
  13. Tony Crowe was not a part of the King Jerry group. He was asked to run for commisioner when king jerry was in charge, he didn't run, because he opposed a lot of the things that king jerry was doing. The reason he is running for Post 4 commisioner now is because he is as tired of the crap king jerry and his buddies did as most of the rest of us are and he wants to help get the county back on track. He doesn't like what Jerry did with the courthouse, he doesn't like that the airport was built even after the voters rejected it. But now that those things are done, he wants to make sure that t
  14. Yes, playground. I could see a slide through the window as we drove by last Sunday, but I couldn't see anything else, so I couldn't tell what the playground looks like. I think it also say "Playplace" on the side of the building, but I am not sure about that...
  15. I agree with what 3 kids said. If you want someone who really cares about he people of post 4, and is not beholden to any of the builders, vote for Tony Crowe. He lives on a road that is basically one lane, part paved, part "improved" and part dirt. For those who don't know what an "improved" road is, it is tar and gravel, not a real paved road! The only reason the county doesn't just forget about the road is because the school buses travel it. He fought (and stopped) a builder from getting the county to condem his neighbor's house and seizing the property. The house is right next s
  16. Please note: the entertainment and fireworks are free. The food will not be free. The food is being sold as a fund raiser for the local Order of the Arrow lodge. They are a part of the Boy Scouts of America.
  17. After being in a crash that totaled my 1995 Tahoe, my husband refuses to let me drive anything smaller. If we had been in a mini-van or a car I would not have walked away from the accident. We finally found our replacement vehicle in April, we got a 1995 Suburban 2500, 3/4 ton, with the big V-8. It rides better than any of the cars I have owned before this. It seats 8 comfortably and has lots of cargo room. I won't be trading it in anytime soon. We will drive it until we can't fix it anymore! Yes, it is a gas hog, but then I don't have a car payment, insurance is cheap, the ad valoru
  18. So, let me get this straight, we can't recognize the honor students because some idiot who problably shouldn't be graduating might get his feelings hurt? So it's OK to hurt the feelings of the students who do well, but it is not OK to hurt the feelings of those who can't even write their own names correctly? Yeah, that's right, let's hurt the ones who do well. They don't whine and complain like the ones who should never have made it past 5th grade!

Yes, it's not legal to cross any of the yellow lines on a road, with one exception and that is when using an either direction left turn lane (AKA the suicide lane)... You can also get a ticket for getting into the turn lane "early" if you are making a left turn at an intersection. What I mean is, you can get a ticket if you get into a yellow lined suicide lane and then travel into the part that is the white lined left turn only lane. You have to make your turn BEFORE you get out of the yellow lined part or get into the turn lane AFTER it becomes the white lined turn lane. I got a ticket fo
  20. I wouldn't but my baby at Ivy Hall. They usually only have one person in the baby room... no matter how many babies they have... I will say it's been a couple of years since I had anything to do with them, but the over crowding and understaffing left me really, really glad that I didn't have my kids there when they were infants!
  21. Balony, that judge needs to find another job. Your lawywer should be asking for a new judge, the one you have is prejudiced against men! I can tell you from experience that the mother is not always the best person for a child to live with! My dad got custody of us in the 1970's, when it was almost unheard of for a father to get custody. All 4 of us went to college and got bachelours degrees. One brother even has a Master's degree, and he was the one who made all D's in high school!!!!! If our mother had kept custody, I don't think that any of us would have gone to college! And I k
  22. I had the Shrimp po-boy and a cup of red beans and rice a couple of weeks ago. The sandwich was really good. The red beans and rice were good, but I don't like green peppers and well, they just had too many for my taste, so I won't get that again. But that is just me, if you like green pepper then you will probably like their red beans and rice. The only complaint I have is that all they have is sandwiches, soup and a couple of specials. If I had gone on-line and looked at their menu before I went, I would not have gone at all. I was looking for more entree type dishes. I am planning
  23. We saw a couple of the bugs a week or so ago. Haven't seen any more since then.
  24. Don't like coffee and 10 cents off a $3 or $4 drink is nothing! OK, it's the cost of the paper cup, but if they were serious about going green, they would offer a better incentive!
