  1. I've been using Wen for a couple of years and I love it. My skin is slightly oily so I don't use it as a leave in conditioner but I've never had a problem with it making my hair greasy.
  2. We have a few openings remaining for our 3 day horsemanship camp to be held the week of Thanksgiving. The hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with early drop off and late pick-up available for working parents. The camp is for children ages 6 to 16. Some of the planned activities include: safety with horses, playing with horses from the ground and under saddle, Christmas arts and crafts and games on horseback. The price is $30 per day or $75 for all 3 days. Please send a PM, if you would like additional information.
  3. My parents had been married for 42 years when my dad passed away in 1992.
  4. Prayers for Brantly and her family and friends.
  5. We do pony parties at the farm and we also do fund raisers for schools and various organizations but we don't take the horses to peoples' homes.
  6. Durango, CO and the surrounding area. I prefer the mountains.
  7. This wasn't a politcally motivated statement. Just the word we received when NASA put the brakes on the new program.
  8. The new program will take us back to the moon. They will return to using a form of capsule for manned space flight. But, I believe that the president has this program on hold.
  9. Fall & Winter Horsemanship Camp Schedule for 2011 (for children 6 to 16) Sept. 19 - 23 $200/5 days - $75 deposit Nov. 21-23 $120/3 days - $50 deposit Dec. 26-30 $200/5 days - $75 deposit Camp hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Deposits are required to reserve spots for camp and are nonrefundable.
  10. Due to a last minute cancellation, I now have two openings for the camp next week.
  11. Watching the launch will be very emotional. Don't tell anyone but before the material I supplied for the hatch doors for the ISS shipped out, I took off my shoes and walked on them.
  12. Mentone, AL is a great spot for a get away. The Mountain Laurel Inn B&B is nice and you can hike to the waterfall from there. The town has a lot of quaint shops to visit. There is also a stable nearby for trail riding.
  13. I provided aluminum alloy parts for this program for many years. I also provided material for the International Space Station. IMHO, cancelling the shuttle program without U.S. transportation to and from the space station is wrong.
  14. I'm in New Hope, also. I'm glad I found my dog before the storm.
  15. Prayers going up for daughter and baby.
  16. Sometime during the night 3 of my horses broke through the fence. I'm sure the fireworks being set off within a few yards of their paddock had a lot to do with it. A neighbor woke me around 5:00 a.m. to let me know they were in his yard. By the time I got to the end of my driveway, they had circled through the woods and were back home. Thanks to the neighbor that spotted the horses on his way to work and took the time to let me know.
  17. I watch the show. The character you mentioned looked familiar but I don't know his name.
  18. Let freedom ring!!! Happy Indepedence Day, everyone!!!
  19. I just love it when my neighbors shoot bottle rockets into the paddocks with the horses or onto my roof. It adds to the holiday excitement.
