  1. The first day we dropped 2nd grader off at FBK pre- school, I felt like we were abandoning him in a mine field, I was all weepy and sad. Well he got out of the car, hit the ground running, never looked back and been that way ever since. He loves school. I cried when I took my now 22 year to middle school for the first time. Good luck to you and your sweet boy on Monday morning...it really will be OK!!!!
  2. Who set up these restrictions in the first place? Clinton, Bush, Obama? The president really does get blamed for everything, regardless of who it is. I agree with the above posts, 'virtually' running out of sugar could be one of the best things to happen to this country in a while.
  3. My bill went up as soon as we got the new meter about 4 months ago. No usage change just a bigger check going out each month to keep the lights on. Maybe the rates went up and I missed it.
  4. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE FBK preschool. 2nd grader went there for 2 years and we can't say enough good things about it.
  5. That is SOOO funny! My granddaughter thought they were ponies!!!
  6. I know what you mean. My granddaughter is 6 and she is also delayed. We honestly used to say that we didn't care what she said as long as she would talk. She is talking more and more everyday and once again, even thought she shouldn't say curse words, the fact that she said it clearly and in the correct situation I must say I was tickled pink. Shes in there and if 'damnit' gets her one word closer to full on talking...well....we'll take the good with the bad!
  7. I'm sorry, but who the hell forgets that her boyfriend is going to Europe especially after he called her the night before to say goodbye?!?!?! I heard this too and it seems almost too hard to believe. If she was that stupid he's better off without her and add to the fact that she slept with someone else for spite. Can we say L-O-S-E-R?!?!?!?
  8. My granddaughter is doing the same thing!! She was trying to change the tv the other day and it wasn't working and the next thing I heard was, 'well damnit'. YIKES! I know she didn't hear it here, so I told my daughter and will let her handle it. What do you do?
  9. Ya' know...I've wondered that too?!?! Do people not preview these commercials?
  10. GOOD FOR YOU!!!! I LOVE Rob Thomas....I want to lick him! Luckily, Hubby knows that!! I hope ya'll have a great time...take pics and share!!!!!
  11. I went to pick up a prescription at another branch of this pharmacy and when I told them my name, they gave me the meds and said 'thank you, you were auto billed so you're all set to go'. Auto billed?!?!?! It was MY meds but they had charged it to some other Bennett's charge card. WTH?!?! I'm glad I am honest or some poor gut would have treated me to antibiotics that day.
  12. OMG!! I KNOW!!! There are just some things I don't ever want to have to explain to 2nd grader. ACK!!! Some things just don't need to be advertised on prime time, especially on kids channels. That what we have Slumber Parties by Kelly for, God bless her!! I have no problem with the commercial itself, it's the airing of it on a kids network during the day. Air it after 10:00 pm, just not during Spongebob time.
  13. I am laughing so hard I have tears streaming down my face and 2nd grader thinks I've lost my mind! That is the best!
  14. OK...I'm in no way a prude, but having a commercial about an exercise video called 'Flirty Girl Fitness' on Nick during the daytime with kids watching just isn't right. Stripper poles and chair dancing, booty shaking and hip grinding has no place on a kids channel during the afternoon. Maybe thats just me. I can't get the kink to kwork, but if you want to see the commercial, just type in flirty girl fitness and it should pop up.
  15. I'm speechless and thats hard to do! WOW!!!!
  16. My daughter worked at Cargo Kids when it was still at the Avenues and called the police on a man and woman who had left 3 little kids in the Hummer, windows up, car not running in August to have dinner at Teds. The idiot policeman told the father who, by name and place of work, had reported him and he went after her while she was waiting on a customer at her store. He was screaming and yelling at her, 'Do you know who I am? I'll own you, I'm a doctor, you don't know who you have messed with". Well being my child she could give just about as good as she could get and told him point blank th
  17. Totally agree! I was never concerned about my daughters fitting in. I was and still am a popular parent, while being one of the strictest on the block. Thats where the problem begins so often is right at home, the parents want to be friends to their kids, I don't need to be their friend, I need to be their parent.
  18. Agreed, she did seem to treat him badly, however, if he exhibited even a tiny morsel of the same behavior he is exhibiting now while he was still at home, you're exactly right....he needs a big kick. How can he be concerned about his kids while he is flitting all around the world with different women? He's been in Europe, the Hamptons, LA, etc when he needs to have his behind at least in the same state as those poor little kids. What a hole they dug for themselves...I'd rather be poor and happy...oh wait...I am!!!!
  19. It works for me! However, he's 8 and between now and then he may want to be 20 other things. I think your son should just go with the flow. Good luck!
