Thank you all for this info. My head is spinning! That does make sense. Thankfully, we have never dealt with this kind of thing before, but like I told her...no one is sick, no one has cancer, everybody still has a job at this point and anybody can do anything for a few months.

Thanks for that info. I think he is trying to scare them and since we know no better, we're all in kind of a panic. As I said, I don't fault him for wanting his money and neither do they, it just didn't seem like enough time to get out. By the way, they have lived there for over 6 years and have never had a problem, so it's not like this is an ongoing thing.

For the past several months my daughter and her husband have had set back after set back financially and it has finally come to a head. They are not behind on their rent, it is paid through 8/31, but it is due today and their landlord said that if they didn't pay it, they had to be out of the house by Wednesday 9/9. They do not have it to give and after many tears and apologies, swallowed pride etc., they are moving here with us. Not an opened ended arrangement by any means, with rules and stipulations. We were trying to make a plan when the landlord called and said they had to be out by W

I was told by the pharmacy at Wal greens to take them to the hospital and tell them you have 'sharps' to dispose of.

Thats what my daughter said too, everything was blocked and nothing was moving.

It is so sad to me that there are so many people like this who can get no help. Lots of people have fallen on hard times and it's a shame that there is no help for them.

This is odd that no one seems to have a clue as to what happened...it seems pretty serious.

No clue, but my daughter lives right there and called and told me the same thing. She actually called to make sure we were all home safe and sound, shes a worrier like me. Prayers to all involved.

We love watching their antics. 2nd grader will sit quietly on the front porch and it's amazing how close they will come to him when they are chasing each other. He loves it!

I saw it...there is something wrong with this guy on more than one level. But he's lucky he's just in jail and not the hospital or the morgue.

I didn't see the video, but at this point I'm going to be looking for it. Maybe he is in withdrawals of some kind, not that I care.

I have read a few inept comments in this topic and the only one spouting them is the OP. To the Moms on here that would have decked this guy, KUDOS to you...me included. Calling people names and being rude as to their education when their own education is obviously lacking, it's just way off the mark.

My daughter took baby boy to the dr yesterday and they suggested a flu shot for him, he is 6 months old. She flatly refused and they acted as if she had 2 heads. He isn't around other kids, except for his sisters and 2nd grader, so I hope all will be well. By the way, we won't be getting it either.

Sadly, I see more adults acting like 'brats' in public than I do actual kids!

I don't and have never slapped my kids in the face and you had better hope another adult doesn't either. The words 'ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE' wouldn't cover the scene that would follow.

Call your insurance company and see if they could recommend someone. Did this guy just knock on your door? If so, NEVER do business with 'drop ins'. We had at least 30 roofers come by wanting to do work and 'free' estimates before I called the ins company. The adjuster told me horror stories of people losing money and ending up with a worse roof than when the guys got on it because they didn't know what they were doing. If you can't find any info on this guy, move on and tell him to do the same.
