Hubby has decided to get 2nd grader a BB gun for his 8th b'day next week. We are in total agreement this will be heavily supervised as to keep everyone and every eyeball in the county safe! He will never have access to it on his own and with that being said, which brands are the best? I've seen Daisy and Red Rider, are there other ones we should consider? We want it to last and it will be taken care of, we know about 'real' guns, but the BB type.......not so much!! Thanks for your help!

My SIL lives in Summer Lake and she likes it alot. MIL used to live there too but wanted to move back to Cobb. It seems quiet and decent. Good luck!!!

I LOVE these things, but I'm convinced that in a few years we're going to find out they cause some sort of horrible disease because it seems to be a mystery what they are made of and how they work!!!
-
This is pretty sad, but we listen to Disney movies in the car and I love them. We have The Incredibles, Monsters Inc., etc. They are such a departure from regular radio listening and they often make 2nd grader fall asleep (an added benefit)!

I can always hope!

I know and then they tell you they can't come if they are sick?!?! 2nd grader is hardly ever sick, but if he is, he stays home.

That drives me crazy!! I have been at school in 2nd graders classes and there have been kids with green snot running like wildfire and coughs that sound like TB and the parents still send them to school. WTH!?!?!?

Let the pigeons loose, we are in total agreement!!!!!! This could be the beginning of a good relationship!!

Same thing happened at our house. The table and umbrella blew over, dented the new grill and ended up 15 feet below in the yard. Luckily, it didn't crash into the kitchen window!

Cremation is fine with me, I really have no preference. I figure it's just a body and whatever is most cost effective and easier to deal with for my family, go for it. My daughter on the other hand wants NO PART of being cremated...cost and ease be damned and thats fine. But for me, I don't care.

Once again congrats and don't let any negative comments on here bother you. Anyone who qualified for this tax credit would take it and you'll never convince me otherwise, 'Oh no Mr. Tax man, I don't want that credit because I don't want to be apart of the presidents 'redistribution of the wealth' policy. I'd rather cut off my own nose to spite my face'. Yea whatever!! You are using a program that is available to anyone who qualifies, one that you had nothing to do with implementing and it would be silly not to take advantage of this opportunity just to make a point. Keep us updated!!!

I read no where in the OP's post that they couldn't afford the down payment, she simply asked if it could be used toward the down payment...not the same thing.

I HATE maxi dresses!!! Being only 5'2, I have a whole extra dress leftover at the bottom. And when we were in Vegas, I saw LOTS of girls in these things and they were dragging the ground and twice someone from behind stepped on them and they were pulled down to their waists. We were walking toward these two, so Hubby loved the scenery..I just had to laugh. -
DITTO!!!!!! Especially my family and it's happened on here.

I didn't think about that. This is just a bad situation. Why would a reputable dr. ever administer hospital grade drugs to someone not having surgery? I know, I know...MONEY. If he hadn't have done, another dr. would have. But, it's a crying shame when greenbacks outweigh your ethics. I guess money really can buy anything...even your own death. -
