Totally in agreement here! Kids cry and whine at times, they are kids. Maybe this kid was sick, we don't know why she had him/her at Walmart and it doesn't even matter, touch my kid and you're going down.

That is the truth!! When 2nd grader was about 10 months old, we were in Target and he was squealing and babbling, playing, not unhappy and I heard from behind me, "God lady, can't you keep this kid quiet". I spun around, heart racing, eyes bulging, fist cocked ready to do battle and it turned out to be a long time friend just joking. I think he realized real quick....don't mess with a Mom and her litter. :clapping: Especially at 2 years old!

I'm right there with you on that one!! As a parent, I know there have been times when little little ones act out and I've been able to tune them out...maybe it's a Mom thing. Touch my kid and I'll kill you...THE END!

We got a generic letter last week from school about 'precautions' to take if an outbreak occurred, hand sanitizer...fine, bottled water and non-perishable foods...fine, but I actually stopped reading when it said make sure to have extra batteries for flashlights?!??! REALLY?!? So, if we get the swine flu, our power is going to go off?!?!? Those few little words discounted the whole letter for me. Most of the people who have contracted the swine flu during this 'pandemic' they keep talking about, have survived unless they have been compromised by some other WORSE illness. As stated before

Hoo Hoo......HAHHAHA!!! And I think you are correct about the 'inferior adopted child' way of thinking. How Godly could you really be if you thought that was true? I'm not necessarily speaking of the Duggers, but of the man they have chosen to model their life after. I wouldn't want to follow anyone who believed anything like that.

Prayers and good wishes sent. Way too young!!

WOOHOO!!!!!! Ya' did good Mom!!!!!!

I don't like the 'buddy system' that so many family with lots of kids tend to follow. If I choose to have a child, it's not the responsibility of my other kids to take care of it. From what Mama Dugger said, when she has a new baby, she takes care of that one until she has another one and then the next youngest gets paired with a 'buddy'. Hubbys cousin has 8 kids and that is how they handle all of their kids so I've seen the 'buddy' system work first hand and as I said before...if I choose to have a child, it should be mine to take care of and not my other children.

Thats what we are planning on doing on Friday while 2nd grader is in school...and I have a coupon. I LOVE Red Lobster!!!!!!!!!!!

Ya' know, she seems like a really nice lady...but c'mon, isn't enough, enough already? How much quality time can you spend with ANY of your children when you have 19 of them? And honestly if it were me, I'd like to have sex once in a while just for the sport if it and not for the purpose of getting pregnant. I don't know how she can still walk after all that and who knows, there could be even more! Yikes!!!!

I'd be happy to go fetch SS, since I'm a non-smoker and all!

Not a complete sentence.

Man, it kills me that we think so much alike!!!! I really think you're me!

Absolutely!! A true adult is self sufficient, lives on their own, pays their own bills, buys their own car and the gas that goes in it. If you live at my house and need help with any of the above...not an adult and you'll follow my rules, curfew and all. Thats not to say that he should have to come in at 9:30pm, but as long as you live with me, there will be rules and you must follow them. Sorry, kiddo!

We finally called the ins. company after every other house, 6 of them, in our cul-de-sac got new roofs because of the wind and hail here in New Hope back in April. We had over 50 shingles blow off and found a leak last week. The ins. company is sending a company this AM to check it out and if we need a new one, they have been checked out and are authorized to repair it. I actually had a guy come by this weekend and tell me how 'messed up ' that was, he had never heard of such and I needed to let him look at it anyway...didn't happen! We stopped counting at 46 roofs replaced in our neighbor

OMG!! You're right...it happened to me once. Oldest daughter who is now 24, locked herself in my sisters bathroom when she was about 3 and snipped her bangs to the scalp almost back to the crown of her head. Oh Lord!!! Vickie was on the phone with me trying to coax her out saying things like...'Come talk to Mama' and 'You want some candy'. She didn't come out until she was done and my poor sister thought I was going to kill her for it and never let her babysit again. NAH!!! It grew back...it took a while...but it grew back!!!

Great idea...thank you!!!

Yea...Hubby told me that after I posted. Hubby is very serious about guns and 2nd grader has been taught from when he was tiny that guns should be handled carefully and used properly. I was not so up for this gift when Hubby 'reminded' me last night about it but I'm getting excited now because it seems to be a real father/son thing for Hubby.
-
We want a 'plinker', at 8 years old we don't want much power. Thanks for the input! Thats what I want for him too. Hubby is so excited to pick this out, buy it and present him with his first 'gun'. Now that is a story!!!! I didn't even think about that, thank you! We plan on getting some type of targets and as I said, he will be supervised when he is using it. I can't imagine what he is going to do when he opens it next Sunday.

Bless your heart. Prayers and good wished sent to all.

I'm glad everything worked out well. If your dog has to be in 'jail' for 10 days, do you have to pay for boarding?
