There is NO excuse for such things! We were at MIL's pool yesterday and a little girl about 4 peed, not pooped, in the pool and the mom acted like it was no big deal. That's why they make swimmie diapers.

Has anyone been turned down for hail damage?
dawneykids replied to sMoKe1962's topic in RECENT TOPICS
We live in Johnstons Ridge just down from Camberly (sp) and we stopped counting at 46 roofs being replaced and it is still going on in all three phases of our neighborhood. I asked Hubby in April if we needed to call the ins company to replace the lost shingles, he said no and did it himself, but now I think we should have called anyway. According to our neighbor who is just now getting a new roof, it's not too late to call, so I'm going to do that next week. -
I completely agree with you! While I don't think he is innocent, I don't think he killed all of these poor children, which means there is still a killer or killers who went free. The word scapegoat comes to mind.

I heard the same thing.

So where are they supposed to put their feet? That seems odd.

We're off to Sara Babb tomorrow, usually I can think outside the box, but doing these things never occurred to me. I'm excited!!!! Mugsie will be so happy! Thanks everyone!

Another great idea...thank you!

That is a great idea, one we never thought of. This could also be a great adventure for 2nd grader and Dad. Thank you so much for the info!

Our dog loves to chew on baseballs and at $3.50 a pop this is getting expensive. I know there a lot of little league teams that may have old ones they don't use anymore. She just chews the covers off anyway, so it doesn't matter what shape they are in. Mugsie would be very grateful. PM me if you have any baseballs or any solutions. Thanks!!!!

I always told my girls that they had better be good in public because if they acted out outside our home, I'd be the one acting bad at home, the oldest one pitched ONE fit when she was about 3 years old...she got popped and we went home. She never did it again. The 22 and 7 year old never once pitched a fit in public...well not yet anyway. This is one aspect of parenting that my children have always understood well, no fits in public.....it will get you NOWHERE really fast.

Best post I have read in a while!

Agreed, it's like the hikers being held in Iran. WTH were they doing hiking there in the first place? Common sense goes a long way in assuring your safety.

100% agreed!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank You!!!

Yep!!! I used one with all my children and now my grandchildren and there were many times when others would openly berate me for doing so, because "I was treating my child like a dog and it was cruel". I put them in their place real quick and let them know in no uncertain terms it was none of their business and that I was keeping my child safe, so they could put their opinion of me and my 'leash' in their pocket and keep it there. (Well, maybe not their pocket)!!!

:good: Korea is a long way and you can't hold a lot of fuel in a little plane.

Exactly! But we don't know if this kid pitched a fit or not and even if he did, the mother should act a little more mature than her child. I'm glad she was arrested. I was in Publix yesterday with 2nd grader and suddenly right behind me a woman screamed loudly like she was being stabbed, everybody turned and she was in a little girls face who was about 9 years old YELLING, 'What is wrong with you, are you stupid? You just wait until I get you home. God you make me sick'. On and on. The manager came around the corner because there was such a commotion and she was still SCREAMING at

Absolutely!!!! If it were my child I wouldn't care who they sent to get them out. Granted, maybe they shouldn't have been where they were to get captured, however, I'd bet that the people on here who are ridiculing the fact the Clinton had a hand in it would change their tune FAST if it had been their kid. Like it or not, Clinton went, they are home safe and sound...how can that be a bad thing? GEEEZ!

I love Chadwicks of Boston, they have different things than on the racks at Macys and aren't too expensive. I think it is chadwicks.com, or you can type in Chadwicks of Boston and it should come up. Good luck.

The last time she posted was July 21 about needing transportation to the airport. That is quite a while ago. Hope everything is well.

Woman in Cobb County Severly injured saving kittens
dawneykids replied to Teatime's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Exactly! And feeling that way doesn't make anyone self-centered. If wanting to be here for my husband, children and grandchildren instead of getting killed in the middle of a busy road trying to save a kitten makes me selfish, then that is a badge I'll wear proudly. -
I edited it, it was supposed to say 'AT GPC and all at no charge['. Basically Georgia Power doesn't charge for trouble calls and EMC's do if the problem is the customers.
