I am very interested to know if the fuel tank was damaged. It was a matter of time before there was a fuel spill at the airport and ground water contamination should be a major concern to anyone on a well living near the airport. If you have not already done so and are on well water and live near the airport, you need to have some base level water testing done now if you did not already do so prior to the airport opening so you would have some basis of comparison if water contamination ever becomes an issue....

Took hubby to chicken world and he really enjoyed the hot wings. Very personable staff.. Had a blast playing pool, air hockey and watching the sci fo channel on the big screen, kiddo liked the pirate ship..

On talkweather.com someone was talking about the potential for golfball or larger hail with the storm crossing the border now.. Unfortunately it seems these storms seem to following similar tracks so if we get hit, its likely we'll get hit again.

My understanding is that the lease payments are supposed to be used to pay the bonds but if the lease payments are not adequate, we the taxpayers will be footing the bill.

They are going to have to do something so that the taxpayers are not on the hook for this thing. The studio needs to have an occupancy rate around 65% from what I've heard to break even.. but the airport wasn't supposed to cost the taxpayers anything either....

I think it would be a great place to produce porn.. That's an angle the IBA ought to investigate with LA voters voting that porn stars must wear condoms...

I'm a liberal independent and will vote 3rd party in November but vote in the Republican primary. Both Romney and Santorum represent the best of the worst that the GOP has to offer, in my opinion. My vote will go for Santorum because he is a right wing, religious zealot nutcase. Several of my like minded friends will be voting for him in the primary and for Obama in the fall. Bash away!!!

I sure would like at least one snow event or even some cold weather to justify the winter clothes I had bought for my son. The other day I packed up his heavy sweaters and boots to give to his cousin, now its turning cold again... figures..

Ate there again today for 2nd time and the fries, chicken and onion rings were delicious. My son, who only eats french fries from McDonalds actually ate a good number of fries. I couldn't believe it!!! We will definately be back!!

This morning was 75% and I got all of the lump crab meat that was left- came out to $4 something a pound, a bunch of gourmet cheeses, 10 ghiradelli bags of chocolate chips, 5-6 ounces of vanilla and a bunch of the italian vodka sauces. All were great deals at 75% off. I won't be eating aout any time soon as I am so loaded up on groceries..

Tobacco was 40 or 50% depending upon if it was cigarettes or chewing tobacco. Wine was also marked 50% off. No reduction on beer.

I have always had great customer service at the Food Lion on 61 I'll miss it but will be heading to Ingles on Nebo, good customer service also..

Takr it for what its worth--- I was speaking to a FL employee at the 61 store and he said there was a rumor going around that the Food Depot was looking at buying the building.

Morbid curiousity got the better of me and I stopped in the Food Lion this afternoon and the parking lot was packed at the Hwy 61 location and the the shelves we nearly bare although there was a decent selection of cereal, canned goods and frozen veggies left and thats about it. I ran into a Food Lion employee that transferred to the Brownsville store in and he said there was more left at the 61 store than the Brownsville store and that at times you had the circle the parking lot yesterday to find a park at that location. I saw a Food Lion truck pulling into the parking lot this morning. I overheard an employee at the the Food Lion that did not work at this particular location that in the past when they shut down stores they continued to bring in merchandise to empty out their warehouse. So I am definately checking back in a couple of days.

Made two runs to the Food Lion already this morning. I loaded up on maple syrup, butter, aluminum foil, laudry detergent, sandwich bags, dog and cat food, bacon, lump crab meat, toilet paper and coffee and miscellaneous other stuff. At 50% off stuff is going fast and they are still accepting coupons, just not doubling so their were plenty of people with coupons in there.
