Drove by and looked at the Food Depot on 61. They are working on the interior and it looked they may have some stuff stocked. It should be opening soon. I looked at their current ad online last night and they had some great prices.

I will vote no to any new tax. I learned my lesson several years ago on voting yes to Paulding County buying the property in W. Paulding County. How many years later and nothing has been done with the property and there is still little to no access to it for citizens who are paying for it.

We have already seen 2 garter snakes in our yard this year and keeping our fingers crossed on not finding any poisonous snakes. We won't kill a non poisonous snake..

I think Austin has done a great job managing County finances in light of the current economic situation and has walked a fine balance in cutting services and not raising taxes. There are a few things here and there that I disagree with policy wise but we'll see longer term if they were good decisions. However, I do not like him, putting it lightly, and will be voting for Crowe. Crowe can do just as good of job as Austin and is much easier to deal with and is a much more pleasant person.

This will go a long way towards the 60% + occupancy rate needed to keep the taxpayers from having to make the bond payments on this albatross.

We were considering down sizing last year to another house in Paulding County and I don't know what possessed me to go the site but lol and behold there was a sex offender across the street. I called for clarification as I was unfamiliar with the legal term-- the guy was convicted of having child porn. I'd urge anyone looking for house to look at the sex registry and if viewing the sex registry to call the sheriff's department for more clarification on the issue.

Not to mention the fact that GA is one of the most consumer unfriendly states in the Country. But that goes hand in hand with the level of corruption.

If the house is near the Paulding Airport you need to have the water tested for baseline purposes.

We like the Frontier Restaurant up in Rockmart for steaks and Prime Rib.

I just call from a market research firm asking who I would vote for between Austin and Crowe. I told the woman I'd vote for Satan before I'd vote for Austin. That ended the call there.. Hehe.. I hate these kind of calls, once I have an idea of who paid for the call, I give all kind of crazy responses.

Hubby wants to go to Disney World since our son will be 5 this summer. I think I'd rather die than go to that place....

I have friends that live near the airport and they are always getting buzzed by these things. They go outside with their cameras pointed to the air and the helicopters tend to disappear in a hurry.

Hubby saw it. Scary. Glad to know everyone involved was OK.

Give it a few more years and our kids and grandkids will be glad to make $1.50 hour, if they can find a job.

Well we wouldn't have at least 5 thrift stores in the city of Dallas, more in Hiram, etc. if the shopping base wasn't there. Considering that the bulk of jobs in the county are low paying, retail or service jobs maybe all these people can afford are dollar stores, $5 dollar stores and thrift stores. If you want something more, you have to have the dempgraphics to support it.

Since they are off maybe they'll be checking out the new Academy Sports!
