(PLEASE) Help Me Pick One.... need your opinion

I like a A.....it's different. -
Since DH birthday is the day after mine (yes, it's true!) we have a set rule....He buys his own present and I buy mine. I have no idea what tools or toys he wants or needs...what's a good price or what's a ripoff and he does. So he'll usually tell me what he's buying and tells me to buy whatever I want for myself. He doesn't go overboard and neither do I. And so far, neither of us has been disappointed. Yeah...it's dull, but it works for us.

Same here....I've been thinking of a lot of places I'd like to go. Spending a few days up a Lake Burton or Lake Rabun in the mountains, a week somewhere in the Outer Banks of NC, Naples, FL would be nice....my Sister inlaw lives in Maine and I haven't seen her in forever.....then there's Vegas....the coast of California.....

That's what I took from the original post and you've given the best advice of all. Like I said, my former coworkers(not attorneys!) told me "they can't do that....they wouldn't do that.....they cannot fire you for having cancer!" Well, of course they can't! They weren't THAT stupid! But there are other things they CAN do that are perfectly legitimate and legal. It may seem cold and heartless, but legitimate and legal, nonetheless. AGAIN.....document EVERYTHING as much as possible, Keep all emails related to your job performance! Print them out or forward them to your personal HOME ema

Union contract. Those contracts are written to protect workers and give them certain perks they would not have in a non-union shop. For example, employers are NOT required to give an employee breaks or a lunch hour...no matter how long the shift. A union contract may say the union employee is to receive a mandatory 15 minute break after fours hours are worked. If the employer agreed to that stipulation of the contract, then they have to abide by it. If they refuse, the employee can file a grievance with the union and the union rep or an attorney will draft a letter to the employe

Way back in the day (showing my age here) the lunchroom ladies used to place those red and yellow squeezable ketchup and mustard bottles on the lunch tables when it was hamburger or hotdog day. One guy in my first grade class used to grab the ketchup bottle and suck it dry. Earned him a visit to the board of education every time....and I ain't talking about the one in Marietta!

Can I get an amen! I returned from a medical leave due to cancer. My oncologist would not allow me to work while receiving treatment due to the side effects; work would not allow me to work either in the office or from home) without clearance from the doctor. I returned to work full time after 7 months on leave immediately after my treatment was complete. I had already begun receiving phone calls from the insurer wanting to know when I planned on returning to work (kept telling them as soon as my dr said I could) and they had begun suggesting that I needed to look into the possibil

And I've done the same in the past....except lately now that McD's sells all sizes for $1. Since they sell their 32oz for $1 and I pay .85 at RaceTrac for my refill cup, I figure I can splurge the 15 cents. But I never REFILLED my RaceTrac cup at McDs. But I have seen people pull into the parking lot and walk in with a 32oz cup fill it to the brim with coke, walk out and never pay. They usually wait until it's the height of breakfast or lunch when the place is busy, thinking no one will notice. The REALLY BRAZEN one are the ones that walk in with a NON McDs cup (Chik Fil A, QT, RaceT

A couple of weeks ago, I saw an employee point out someone to a manager that someone had walked in with a cup and filled it with coke. The mgr talked to the person who said he had bought it earlier and had just gone out to get something from his car. Mgr knew he was lying, but told him that once you leave the store you cannot return for a refill. He got the $1.07 he was owed.

.....snif, snif.....I smell popcorn! I'll be back shortly! -
I've used Skyline as well. Very nice, dependable, reasonable, and most definitely NOT a ripoff!

Sunday night was popcorn night at our house. Daddy would pop a great big potful right before Bonanza came on. I remember the stories, too. My mom watched the NBC lineup.....Days of Our Lives, The Doctors, and Another World. my grandmother watched General Hospital. And on Saturday night at my grandmother's house, all activity came to a grinding halt when Lawrence Welk came on. I miss those days. I remember one Saturday afternoon, we were all gathered around sitting underneath the trees at my grandmothers house shooting the breeze. As the adults were talking, I noticed an ant ca

Ah...Officer Don. Here's another..... Remember Tubby and Lester? They were a local TV morning show aimed at kids modeled after Laurel and Hardy. They usually showed old Our Gang comedies along with cartoons.

If you're talking about Disney's Wonderful World of Color, I'm thinking it would have been Sunday....followed by Bonanza.

My younger brother got shingles when he was in his late thirties....never had chicken pox. They ran across both shoulders and the pain was so bad he could not even stand to wear a shirt. He had a recurrence several years later. He said now you can stick an ice cube on his shoulders, stick a needle there, whatever and he can't feel it. GET THE VACCINE!

My parents used to ring in New Years Eve with Guy Lombardo. When Guy died, everyone said NYE would never be the same. A few years earlier, Dick Clark started doing his NYE show. I liked it because it was a nice alternative to Guy and the Royal Canadians.

I loved that Little Store. I don't think I've set foot in the place since the early 80's when I went there to vote. (I was a student there from 1966 - 1972.) My brother ran into his second grade teacher one year when he went to vote. He tapped her on the shoulder and said "I bet you don't remember me." She looked at him and said "I sure do, Ronnie! I remember whenever I had my back turned and heard you snickering that Alan (his friend that sat next to him) was up to something." He was surprised she remembered him after over 20 years. Howdy ex-neighbor! I lived within walking di

For those that haven't heard, Cobb County is demolishing Mableton Elementary School in order to build a new and improved Mableton Elementary. Saturday, April 28 is going to be a walkthrough day...where alumni can stroll down memory lane before the school is demolished. Article: They're gonna tear down my old elementary school and stomp that sucker flat!

Paulding DA To Meet with Arrested Teens
scoutfinch replied to LisaKW@bellsouth.net's topic in RECENT TOPICS
If nothing else comes of this, the class of 2013 should think long and hard about what constitutes a prank and if it's worth it. My guess is that at least 21 seniors in the class of 2012 would give anything to turn back time. -
One more suggestion....google emotions anonymous and see if there is a nearby meeting. Even if you only stay for ONE meeting and decide that it's not for you, they may can recommend another type of therapeutic group that would be better suited for what you're trying to cope with. So sorry for your loss.

That's interesting about Cobb...seems like it would have been in their best interest to be a part of PINES. Wonder why they declined?
