  1. I went Thursday afternoon and it was a zoo. Part of the problem was that in addition to the aforementioned blocking of the aisles, they were also doing food samplings so there was an absolute HORDE of people gathered around trying to get a smidgen of trail mix and juice. HOWEVER......I got fresh pineapple for .99, strawberries for .79, and cantaloupes for .99 and all of it was delicious! I went back yesterday and bought a pack of corned beef, some flour tortillas, and more cantaloupe for dinner tomorrow. Both times I went, the buggies were "freebies" in that the quarter was already in t
  2. He NEVER closes the kitchen cabinets and drawers. I walked into the kitchen last night. Pantry door: open. Dinnerware cabinet: open. Spice cabinet: open. Silverware drawer: open. Cookware cabinet: open. Knife drawer: open.
  3. I know you meant "pantry" but that just made me laugh out loud!!!
  4. Mgmt ought to tell them they can shut it or kick them out to the parking lot. Better yet, send one cop up there, arrest whoever is involved, haul them to the jail and tell them they'll deal with them on Monday.
  5. First, condolences on that horrible commute! I made that commute for about 15 years going from Due West Road area to Technology Park area. My hours were from 7am until 4pm. My morning route was Dallas Hwy to Barrett Pkwy to I-75 to I-285 to Peachtree Industrial Blvd. To get to work on time I usually left the house by 5:45...no later than 6am. Took about an hour barring any accidents on the interstate or rain. My afternoon commute was a killer. I found that even leaving right at 4, traffic was usually starting to get congested on I-285 and by the time I got to I-75 traffic was
  6. This just in from Marcia Brady: Counselors will be at Westdale High School tomorrow.
  7. I love my ipad; would love it more if it was at the price of a kindle fire. Bestbuy has ipads on sale now for $449 for the lowend models. If you are considering an ipad here's something to consider: There's a rumor floating around that the ipad 3 is going to be released in the next couple of months. I have no idea what new features will be on it, BUT, that may be the reason what Bestbuy is running a sale on the current model. When the ipad 2 was released, Apple increased the price on the newer model by $100 and decreased the price on the current model by $50.
  8. My goodness! Bless your heart! Hope you feel better now.
  9. She really must think that everyone else is stupid. I just feel sorry for the their kids. I hope that Rusty's family sues for custody of the kids because she appears to be a cold-hearted accomplice.
  10. I've been following via the ajc website. According to them, Andrea made contact (against court rules) with her friend that testified yesterday to tell her that she was no longer her friend. So the prosecution and defense motioned to ban her from the courthouse and the judge agreed. She really is a piece of work. For those of you that can't find the channel on Comcast or DirectTV, the ajc has a link where you can watch it live.
  11. Hermitage Mill is down the street from me and I believe they have a community pool.
  12. None of it makes sense. If her husband had truly gotten into an accident and was dying at the hospital, why was she running around town trying to scrounge up $3000 instead of getting her butt to the hospital? It's not like the hospital said "well, he's dying' so unless you can cough up 3 grand we're gonna dump his butt out in the parking lot.". I had surgery last year and the hospital is STILL sorting out bills between the dr's and the insurance ONE YEAR LATER! Then she changes the story that he's got tumors, too? I swear, I hate to say it but it would serve these people right if t
  13. If it's not the same woman, I wonder if she saw the topic on here and figured WTH, it's worth a try. Somebody needs to warn the Blue Jeep lady that she's got competition now....they need to get together and draw up boundary lines.
  14. Steel Manolias This one: Clairee: Come, Jack Jr. I'll tell you a story. Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess named Shelby. She had a kind fairygodmother named Clairee but there was this nasty, evil, wicked, mean witch named Ouiser. And this one: Ouiser: He's a real gentleman. I bet he takes the dishes out of the sink before he pees on it.
  15. Try this! Paulding School Records Management
  16. I did this a few months ago in Cobb County. I just called the main number for the Cobb county school system and told them I wanted my school records. They gave me the address of where the records were stored on microfiche (it was near McCullum Airport). I went there, filled out a form, paid them $2 for the copies and it was over and done with. So...for Paulding, I'd start with either calling the main number or check their website.
  17. From my favorite Jack Nicolson movie, Going South: Henry Moon: Well! Anybody hungry? Big Abe: [deadpan] Hungry! Sh*t, I could eat a frozen dog. Henry Moon: Well, we'll go on out to the kitchen and see if we got one already froze.
  18. She enjoyed the attention and she was a tease; I really think she was in on it, though, and the prosecution just doesn't have enough hard evidence to prove it. She said she didn't report him to HR because she was afraid of losing her job. REALLY? In this day and age where just about every form of communication is traceable? She could have saved emails, texts, etc as proof. She could have used her phone as a voice recorder to reord his conversations if she really wanted to prove her case. After hearing the testimony about all of their travels (wanting chocolates and flowers waiting
  19. For a variation on this, add a half stick of butter and a quarter cup of brown sugar to the sauce, pour over the wings and RETURN them to the oven under the broiler. Leave them until they start to get a caramel glaze on them. You get a combination of sweet taste with the hot.
  20. I like the one (QT, I think) where the daughter comes downstairs in various stages of trashy and undress and dad keeps sending her back upstairs to change clothes. She finally comes down looking presentable....until he sees the words "Ka-Pow" bedazzled across her backside and sends her back upstairs.
  21. Several weeks ago my husband and I drove out to Sears Outlet in Tucker in search of a new freezer. The reefers and refrigerators were in a room in really tight quarters. You had just enough room to stand off to the side and open the door....and you were lucky if you had enough room to open it all the way! Just as we had started browsing, three kids (anywhere from 8-10 years old, 2 boys and 1 girl) ran by us, ahead of their mom and dad and began running in between the row of freezers. A salesman told the kids to stop running...TWICE...AND IN FRONT OF MOM AND DAD, who DID AND SAID ABSO
  22. Actually...somebody needs to go Madea all over her butt!
  23. Does he have a cell phone? If so, can they get the phone company to see if they can pick up a ping from his phone to get a location?
