Just a few flurries....I took the dogs out a few minutes ago and it had stopped. Definitely NOT enough to issue a BBMTP run (bread,beer,milk, toilet paper).

Wind is whipping and I'm curled up with hot cocoa with marshmallows! I love nights like this.

That's awful....sorry about your dog. As for me, I've had two. The only tv I had was the one displaying the return feed of the camera.

I was listening to Clark Howard this afternoon and they were discussing this company: Megabus Depending on how far in advance you book, the far is as low as ONE DOLLAR one way. They don't go from Atlanta to Tunica, but they do go from Atlanta to Memphis. Maybe there is a shuttle from Memphis to Tunica?

My younger brother and I used to share a room when I was little. I was about 6.....he was about 3 at the time. I I made sure his bed was closest to the window. I figured if Barnabus was going to be calling, he'd get my brother before he bothered with me.

My mom had her "stories": Days of Our Lives, The Doctors, and Another World. That was back when soaps ere only a half hour long. After that we were home from school and it was time for OUR "story": Dark Shadows. Actually, I'm glad this was brought up. I found it on Netflix a couple months ago and started watching, then stopped because work got in the way. I need to start back up. We walked to school and run all the way home to catch the show. It was a terrible time in our household whenever the TV had to be sent in for repair (we only had ONE tv...imagine THAT!!!). We'd beg to go over to a neighbors house to watch Dark Shadows or call up a friend and have them give us a synopsis. Angelique scared the CRAP out of me! I remember one episode where Barnabus entombed Reverend Trask behind a wall in the Old House. Another time, there was a character named Jerimiah that died. Then his ghost started appearing. That show gave me nightmares as a kid....but I LOVE

And her mom kept hollering after her "Show 'em yer belly! Show that belly!". Towards the end of the show, the girl scrunched up all the fat surrounding her belly button and started shaking it for the camera. If that was what the mom wanted the judges to see, that was just plain weird. I would expect to see something like that from a middle aged redneck drunk at a tailgate.....not from a 5 year old at a kiddie glitz pageant.

Borderline child abuse. One mom...(not sure if it was this episode or the one after) got all PO'd with her daughter because she said her daughter went thru the routine too fast. I didn't see that she did it any faster than anyone else but Mom was PO'd to the point where she (mom) was almost in tears....SHEESH! And what is the deal where they all make those godawful UGLY faces to the judges while shaking their butts and slapping their rear ends????

I second this one....get the diagram from the office at the courthouse (if you're in Paulding); we used Skyline also. Seems like it was around $300 or so for the pumpout. If you've never had it pumped before and you're not sure when, if ever, it's been pumped out, I'd go ahead and have it done now rather than waiting until you do have a problem. (My neighbor can vouch for that!).

Fine...how 'bout I send my dogs over to your house and you can listen to them go nuts. As a matter of fact, I'm sitting out here on my back deck with them now. I figure I might as well let the entire neighborhood enjoy it....what's a little more noise?

I am SO over it!!! I've got one dog that absolutely HATES firecrackers/fireworks. What is so frustrating is that they will pop 2 or 3 loud ones, wait about 15 minutes, then set off 2 or 3 more....waiting just long enough for him to calm down before he starts up again.

I'm just curious...what is the penalty for this (impersonating a LEO)? I would hope its a felony with mandatory prison time because this is scary stuff.

And in other news, I saw Miss Jessie today at 278 and 92!

Our upright has a lock on the side. We always leave the key in the lock and just got into the habit of always turning the key and giving the door a slight tug to make SURE it's locked after removing food. Go with the upright....chest freezers are a royal PITA.

I like the grape jelly/chili sauce recipe, too...but I've never heard of the enchilada sauce/cranberry till now! I think I'm gonna try that....sounds more seasonal.
