Yep - there's no accounting for taste. I didn't get his attraction at the beginning and I *still* don't see it. He's just an average-looking white guy who can occasionally sing on-key. Nice eyes and that's about it.

Too funny - I said the same thing to my husband during the show. I'm for Crystal, for the same reason you mentioned above. IMO, if 'AI' wants to stay "relevant" (a word they seem to love on that show), they need to: -Replace Simon with someone who is Simon-esque - that is, a judge who won't pull any punches and will give real criticism as opposed to telling someone their singing was "dope," whatever THAT means. -Eliminate the artist theme nights. Not everyone can sing Elvis' songs or Gloria Estefan's songs. Stick with genres or time-frames where everyone can find *something*

Haven't you ever been placed, voluntarily or not, in a situation that turned out to be waaaay worse than you had ever imagined? I have, which is why I know that you can only have your buttons pushed so many times before something has to give. I used to tell people that my 20-year service pin was actually for twenty years without committing a felony, and I was only half-kidding. It's fairly easy to get through a difficult day - when those days become weeks and months, with no end in sight, it gets a lot tougher.

I'm with LPPT: I totally understand why this teacher went off on this kid. I don't condone it, but I DO understand it.

Congratulations to your husband! And yes, obtaining legal status is a cumbersome process that could probably stand some tweaking. But imagine how much more anxious you would have been if he had been sneaking around the law instead of doing things the right way. As for the KSU fiasco, I have already decided that they will not get a penny more of my money. If all the alums would do the same, perhaps Dr. Papp wouldn't be so quick to extend his sympathy to his illegal students.

I saw the video on 'Good Morning America' earlier this week. They also interviewed a couple of the parents. It was hysterical to hear those parents (one father and one mother) say that they saw nothing wrong with the dance or the costumes, then in the next breath say that they were trying to figure out how the video went public and how they could get it pulled. Uh, if they don't see anything wrong with it, then why do they care who sees it?!

I remember reading about the fee increases in the AJC during the legislative session. The same bill that includes these court filing fees also increases the fees for special license plates (HB 1055). However, I can't find any info on an increase on the notary commissions in Cobb - their website and their phone line still mention a $30 fee. Who provided you with your info, Madea?
