Asking for your prayers and positive thoughts...
Foxmeister replied to Gipper Girl Rocks's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I'll add all of you to my prayers. -
You really haven't a clue to what the guy meant did you? What he said wasn't a bad thing at all. Regardless of your family's background, you have a much greater chance at success than if you were born in some other country. For example: had you been born in China, you certainly wouldn't have enjoyed the life you have had here. Also, why is it a bad thing for a company to be looking at purchasing a company in another country? Foreign companies and investors buy companies in this country all the time. In other words, those who disagree with you don't matter to you.

The point is 1 out of 7 people are collecting food stamps is not a good sign for the economy at all. 12.8 million people are unemployed in this country. Last month, only 80,000 new jobs were created. Experts say it would take 250,000 new jobs created each month to begin rapidly bringing down unemployment. Another 11 million people are underemployed. Obama said on the campaign trail in '08, he would cut the $1 trillion deficit in half during this term of office. That hasn't happened. Our national debt has also increased another $5 trillion during this current administration. That

'Middle Class' is $200K and above

I have some news for you. On the evening of March 19, 2003, Bush addressed the nation that the invasion of had just begun. He wasn't on the golf course when the invasion started as you claim. Bush only played golf a total of 24 times during the 8 years he was president. If you want to complain about a president playing golf; Obama played his 100th game of golf as president on July 17 this year. Where was Obama the day the SEALS began their mission to get Osama?

I understand what you're saying and I agree; there should be consequences for their actions. The problem is what actions should our government take? Someone on this site once stated the Muslim Brotherhood was a peaceful organization. Since the ousting of Mubarak, the Muslim Brotherhood has become a political party. In three rounds of parlimentary elections (Nov and Dec 2011; Jan 2012), the MB has been the big winner taking almost half the seats. Egypt's president Mohamed Morsi was the head of the Muslim Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party when he ran for the office, but resigned

Where did you get your degree in international relations? He has a right to his own opinion; right or wrong, just as you have a right to yours. You seem to have this need to always be right and to insult those whose opinion differ's from yours by calling them ignorant or insane. It's not necessary.

I have a Macbook at home and I really like it. It took a little time getting used to it though. I have an iPhone 3GS I wish now I had never purchased. I have difficulty getting a signal in areas I didn't have a problem with when I had my previous phone. I rarely use the phone to access the internet. I may just go back to a normal cell phone and reduce my monthly expense.

After watching this short trailer, it's apparent the movie is an attempt to make Muhammad look like a nutcase. If one looks at the history of Muhammad and his creation of Islam, it's possible to come to that conclusion. Muhammad first began to spread his message of Islam in Mecca. While in Mecca, his message was that of pretty much loving each other and that Muslims should get along with Jews and Christians. When he began to ask for money in his preachings and the numbers of his followers began to grow somewhat, the tribal leaders forced him to leave Mecca and not come back. He told ev

The trailer for the movie was released on youtube in July and the "mob" in Libyia and the "mob" in Egypt wait until September 11th. These "mob" attacks were planned to occur on a day the radical Muslims celebrate the terrorist attacks on the US and while we remember and hold services in memory of those who were killed. One would think the administration or at least the Secretary of State would have had the forethought to beef up security at our embassys, at least in that region of the world to prepare such an event on the anniversary of 9-11. To me that would be common sense. For that

I could possibly support a tax increase, but ONLY if I see the government being more fiscally responsible by cutting government spending to balance a national budget and begin working on paying off the national debt. The Democrats historically have proven they don't reduce spending when increasing taxes, but increase spending.

BILL CLINTON.........YOU LOVE HIM OR YOU HATE HIM
Foxmeister replied to lowrider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
What made the economy successful under Clinton was having a Republican majority Congress that wrote balanced budgets. What also made Clinton successful was his need to be popular with the voters to get re-elected. Dick Morris who had served as Clinton's political advisor had said Clinton was big on polls and wanted to a poll conducted each time a piece of legislation looked as if it were going to pass and be placed on his desk. Morris said on average, he was having a dozen polls a day conducted. He also said Clinton could not make a decision without a poll. Clinton and the Democrats were -

Are you better off today than you were four years ago?
Foxmeister replied to barrycdog's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The real question should be "Are we as a country better off today than we were four years ago?" The answer to that would have to be no we as a country are not better off. Four years ago when Obama took office our national unemployment was at 7.8% and it's been above 8% for the past 42 months. In all reality, we are not seeing any gains in new jobs at all while 23 million people in this country are looking for jobs. The average price for a gallon of gas when Obama took office was $1.84. The national average today is $3.83. As gas prices increase so does the cost of transporting goods t -
Notice how all this political correct crap originates from the left?
-
I can't help but remember each time gas prices increased during the Bush administration how the left and many on this site were blaming Bush; accusing him of raising prices to help out his "oil buddies." Now that prices are nearing $4 a gallon, those same people are giving Obama a pass. Did it take them all this time to figure out the president doesn't set gas prices?

Something On The View (TV Show) Raised My Suspicion

I think there are times where the use of the word could be considered inappropriate. Would it be appropriate to wear a shirt to school that said, "I love her vagina?" -
Taylor "T-Bone" Phillips, father of Deborah Anderson lives in South Paulding. He made is debut as a major league pitcher in 1956 with the Milwaukee Braves. He was with the Braves in 1957 when they won the World Series. He was traded to the Cubs in 1958 and pitched a shutout that season agains the Braves in Milwaukee. During the 1959 season, he was traded to the Phillies and pitched for them through the 1960 season. In 1963, he pitched for the White Sox. Taylor coached American Legion baseball teams for years in Douglasville. He's a very modest man when talking about his baseball ca

I graduated from high school in 1974. Learning a second language was not a requirement to graduate. Some colleges did require a year and some two of a foreign language while in high school as part of their requirements for enrollment, but that's not the same as forcing someone to have taken a foreign language class in order to graduate from high school as not all high school graduates go to college.

If you force children to learn Spanish in school, would that not be the government forcing its will upon the people? Shouldn't it be an individual right for a person in this country to decide whether or not they wish to learn a second language?
-
Here's what I find really confusing - there are people here who have expressed it would be unconstitutional to make English the official language of the US; yet at the same time they express a desire to see all children have to learn Spanish. Does anyone see the hypocrisy here?
