  1. I was wondering the same thing. I know that many times they are begging for clemency from a judge or the governor up until the last minute but I've never heard of this. His choice for no last meal makes you wonder if he and his slimy attorney had planned it this way.
  2. I'm the same way. I probably should have mentioned that I have been on Zolfran and it does work but not all the time and is no where near as effective. Prenergan works fast and always keeps me from getting sick. I've been on kids gummi vitamins since my first dr's visit months ago when we were first trying to lessen the nausea. Ginger has helped and I use it a lot but nothing keeps me from getting sick at least once a day, and its usually more(except Penergan). I'm beyond the getting sick b/c I'm hungry, I think, anyway. Because, I can be full and have only finished eating 10-20 mins a
  3. talk to me, please . I'm now into the 3rd trimester and am 29 weeks. I am still throwing up almost everyday. My dr has prescribed Phenergan and it helps a lot. But, it's like she doesnt want to prescribe it even though they all say (my dr's)that its okay during pregnancy. I have been in and out of the ER and spent a couple sweeks total in the hospital and most of it is due to me being sick so often and not being able to hold anything down. I am still anemic but my iron is MUCH better than it was. My next dr's appt isnt until next week and I really think if I call and ask for a re
  4. Where is your farm? Yes, I have noticed digging is MUCH easier here. I lived close to Paulding Quarry the last few years I lved in PCounty and digging was a nightmare. The soil is better, too. I was surprised how different it is only a few hours away from home. Little to no red clay here.
  5. Well, Im in south Ga but it has been much warmer than usual here, too. It has consistently been in the low 70's almost all of Jan. The holidays were a little cooler but not by many degrees. I was a green thumb in Cobb/Paulding after a lifetime fo gardening there. Here, I had to join a garden club to figure it all out. The warmer weather has me even MORE confused! My pansies look sad...REALLY sad. My holly's were bursting with red berries and at the VERY same time, my jasmine was in full bloom... .
  6. That is very sweet. Reminded me of Ronald Reagan. He left Nancy a note every single day they were married. He would even write them ahead and not tell her where they were so that she would find them while he was travelling. I think men, in particular, like and need to hear that we are appreciative of how hard they work. You are a smart woman and you are both very lucky to have each other.
  7. It is very hard to lose a parent, especially one that has always been so wonderful. You are never "ready" to give them up. I'm so sorry for your loss and will be thinking of you.
  8. I meant to say that, too. I always throw out my over ripe fruit or leftover fruit pieces, peel, skin to the birds. Anything bio-degradable is not really trash in this case.
  9. I agree. Im afraid retailers will radically change their coupon policies and it will affect people like you and me who do it to save a little money each week on real groceries that we are using and NEED. This turns into an obsession and a sport for some people, which is fine and they are entitiled, but where my issue comes in, is that they arent even using most of it. Doesnt sound so money-smart to me.
  10. I NEVER throw trash out my window or leave it anywhere. Never have even once. It is a huge peeve of mine when people do this and I just dont get it. It is so direspectful of others and just plain lazy. I pick up any trash that is around my property(mostly blown from neighbors trash bins during the week). I also have my 2 step-daughters go with me when needed to pick up trash along the subdivision road, mostly after holidays when the trash company didnt run. I have good neighbors but they all work and arent home a lot so its our way of doing something nice for them and they are always apprec
  11. Eating is never a "hurried" activity in Europe so I can see why the cushy sofas, etc have done well there. I've eaten at McDonalds in France a couple times. I am usually so against eating a meal anywhere on a trip that you can get at home. But, the menu was so funny to me and so un-McDonalds, that we had to do it. Some items are the same but the overall feel is very different than the fast, greasy place we are all accustomed to. Even McDonalds in places with a large multi-cultural influence are very different. In San Antonio they are heavy on their menu with tex-mex and the menu is in Span
  12. I agree completely. The subject of them winning money really irks me, too. If you're smart and start saving a LITTLE bit(I'm talkin $5-$10 a week) when they are born or a few years old and put it in the right places, you'll have WAY more than pageants would ever pay and a child who has not learned to be hyper-critical of her looks from her own mother.
  13. Blah. I dont think there is a "good way" to do any kind of beauty pageant for young children. I'm sure everyone thinks they are the exception to the rule and its fine for them to do it, but I disagree. Just to be surrounded by all the nastiness, self-promotion based on looks and focus on appearance is bad enough in and of itself. I wont even get started on the sexualization, which IS there no matter how you'd like to see it. I have had a few friends who have done this with their kids and they, too, think they do it the "right way". Again, I've seen them in action and I dont agree. It is di
  14. that is crazy and VERY bad service. Dont do it. Tell them to get it themselves. What are they gonna do? Cancel your service?
  15. youve GOT to have tahini paste to make hummus. A little pricey but one jar will last a long time.
  16. Thank you . I wish I could hop in my car and run over to your store! I'll ask my Dad to pick up a few for me. I saw them on your website. I'll tell him to introduce himself when he comes in. Thanks again!
  17. Skip any of those places and go to the ER. They are way too limited on what they can and will do at the Doc in a Box. Kennestone is a few mins longer drive but worth it. In the case of a broken toe, I do agree with you. The only thing they might do more so than urgent care, is give you a small amount of pain Rx to get you by til Monday. But, I'd wait and see an ortho then. My brother is with Pinnacle(has been for 20+ years) and they are the best!
  18. Love her show. She is VERY well esteemed in the salon world. I toured her salon(it is surprisingly simple...very clean and neat but no fru-fru about it) and took a couple cutting classes from her a few years ago(before she was ever on tv). She really is very likable and has made a great name for herself. The salon I worked for in Altlanta when we went out and took her classes, paid a small fortune for her to do sort of what she does on her show, and audit/overhall the salon, the sylists, the owners and the staff. She flew into town and spent 3 days with us in the salon. One full day we were c
  19. That is really sweet. I love trips like that. We will go out the weekend before. Theres a really nice restaurant downtown here, owned by local people, that has a great atmosphere and live music at night...white tablecloths, lobster and all the stuff I enjoy. No wine for me this year though... . Then, we are planning to go across the street to a little tapas restaurant/lounge and dance. I havent been out dancing since I've been pregnant so this should be interesting...and funny for whoever is watching. He is a great dancer so hopefully he can cover for my probably wobbly, top heavy dancing.
  20. I live out of town now but I told my Dad about your store yesterday(he lives in new hope). He said he would come by at some point today and was excited to take a look. If you still have any infant tie-dyed onesies, I may ask him to pick up a few for me.
  21. My Dad lost his job with no notice a few years ago. He had worked there(Caterpillar) for almost 25 years. He had everything...a company car, trips around the world, bonuses for top sales, two college scholarships for me and my brother, etc. He was devastated and so was my Mother. We were all in shock and it was only the second time I ever saw Dad cry. But, after a few months of job searching and BIG letdowns(as he was in his late 50's and a head full of grey hair), he found a job that paid less and less benefits but it ended up being the PERFECT thing for he and Mom. They were able to do mo
  22. We will, I promise you. I cant wait to use it. Will thought it was so adorable once he figured out what it was. Thank you again .
  23. I will be praying for her along with my other expecting friends and will pass your request along to them(there are 6 of us). I agree with the others though that she should be fine. I have a couple friends who went into VERY early labor(before 30 weeks)and both kids, though a little bumpy at first and a longer hospital stay, were fine and are both almost grown now. Medicine has come along way, even just since these kids were born. I know you cant help but to worry but just try to put that energy into something positive whenever you can. You and your daughter are going to be two busy wom
  24. so thoughtful and generous! She even shipped it way down here to south georgia. I LOVE IT and will use it a LOT. Thank you so much.
