  1. oh yuck. I hate that for you! I know its necessary but I dread it. Thank goodness they can find that info though b/c having a baby and NOT knowing would be horrible.
  2. Thanks, BL, for posting this inspiring piece! Watched it with my SO last night who is ALWAYS in the gym, mixing up shakes, crazy fizzy health drinks and beating himself up over every pound. He was a fitness model a few yrs ago and now, at 36, you know its a lot harder to keep that up. It is easy to get swept up in being "perfect" and lose touch with "why". Coming from a large family, he is as afraid as a woman of ending up the same way. You have to do it for the RIGHT reasons like this woman did. Great to see. He enjoyed watching it as much as I did.
  3. Thanks LGM. I do need to increase my water. I couldnt drink it straight b/f now b/c I was throwing up multiple times a day and water makes that even worse. I lived on gatorade, juice, Sprite, etc. But, now Im only doing low sodium gatorade when I drink it. I wasnt swelling when I was barfing . My shoes still fit(thank goodness)but IDK for how long. Good thing is they said yesterday that over half my weight gain is water and another 6-8 lbs is baby and baby etc, not very much body fat at all. I have to do the glucose thing not this appt but next. Sounds like a blast. I did it with my first bu
  4. No kidding, last week I was thinking, "with my first I had no swelling like so many other women talk about being so terrible and at almost 6 months, Im not having any swelling now either". Only to look down at my legs and realize....yes I am! What the heck?! I am watching my sodium, very little caffeine(one coffee a day and dr said was okay), eating healthier that I ever have, small meals all day and putting my feet up at night when I sleep. Im not working but I do stay busy at home still "setting up house". Only taking a very low dose med for my back injury and the usual vitamins/supplement
  5. Is there a better reason for love? I think not!
  6. I already knew you werent right. Thats why I like you.
  7. I used to love Pcom breakfasts, coffees and lunches.I made some good friends that way and its fun to put a face with a (fake)name . If I were closer, I would be there for sure. Hope you all have fun and hope some new people come, too.
  8. You need fried pickles in your life.
  9. former smokers. I'd bulldoze it, too.
  10. I agree totally. I really have a had time keeping my cool when people bash Mormons without knowing what they are talking about. I'm not one but it is so offensive to me when people automatically go for the polygamy thing, etc. and leave out ALL the good things they do and believe in. They run circles around we evangelicals in so many areas. I know my post is a little off the topic but it bugs me so much. In any case, this woman is clearly ignorant and has not hesitated to let us all know it.
  11. Mias does have really good wings. They serve my beer, too, which is not easy to find in a restaurant/bar-Hornsbys. Great combination.
  12. Yes and there area actually a FEW really good, nicer, locally owned restuarants there in Acworth. You should go to the Taste of Marietta this year. It is usually in April and is on the Square in downtown Marietta. They have tons of local restaurants there so you can try their food. VERY inexpensive($1-$5 portions) and lots of fun. They always have a few fun things for kids and lots of people bring their dogs. You should go and take a few mins to try the rooftop bar at the old Strand theatre. You can sit, have a cocktail and "people watch" while the festival is going on. Last 2 yrs they hav
  13. Yes, it sounds super nutty, but I cannot imagine what that girl has been through, especially to have had to do it in public. I know personally, when you are going through something so traumatic, you can do some out fo the ordinary things and make some bad decisions that you later wish you wouldve waited to decide. Just b/c she has a lot of money doesnt change the facts of what has been done to her. Probably makes it easier in some ways, but still a horrible nightmare. Wonder she didnt bulldoze Tiger.
  14. Geeeze that sounds gross!!!! Just what a little boy would LOVE though! Think I would personally skip the red for another color if I had a choice... .
  15. Just did and will continue. I was diagnosed with this when I was an infant. My parents thought I was dead during one of the episodes. My Mother says she prayed and had everybody she knew praying and God healed me. Never had another issue with it or anything related again. God never changes and His hand is never too short to help those who call on Him. Will be praying.
  16. the entire little girl pageant thing is sick and disgusting.
  17. YES! So good. My friend is the chef there and the food is amazing! He is super creative and the presentation is as good as the flavor. Love their cold seafood salad in the summer months. It has shrimp, scallops, etc on a bed of super fresh mixed greens and their house balsalmic dressing.
  18. I just spoke with her and she now thinks it was a med mix up and is feeling a little better. I do know that sunscreen expires in less than a year and know a few people who have had issues like that, too. That line has officially made my day ! Im sorry that you were in pain but that is one funny story now.
  19. I had an ear infection for the first time in a jillion yrs last week and Googled remedies. There really are a ton of good ones that really work but the one that got me most started like this(and Im not kidding)...."you take a tampon and a jar of peanut butter..." . I used the swimmers ear stuff but lots of people use hot water and a coffee cup to form suction that draws out the water. Lots of posts there about vinegar working too. Hope she feels better soon . That is REALLY annoying .
  20. They are always so on top of things . Ugh, sorry...I couldnt disagree with you more.
  21. The IRS will definitely kill you sloooowly. I think she has a pretty smooth life right now but you know how life goes up and down. She has struggled with depression and is on something for that and has had a thyroid issue. So, it could be a meds thing or stress. Allergies are just so hard to pinpoint sometimes. Glad you're better though. To me, anything like that sounds so annoying and just plain miserable.
  22. Thank you for your responses, Everybody. She is writing down, like a diary, of everywhere she has been, what she has eaten, used, etc. like you were saying LPPT, so hopefully that will lead to something good. And, the b12 shot thing scared me! I just had my first one this week and right before she injected me I was thinking, "this could be really good or really bad!". Thankfully, it was really good except for my sore hip/hinney from the needle. I am passing this info along to her and she IS going to see a specialist she says. I REALLY feel sorry for her. Sounds nightmarish!
  23. I have a friend that is desperately seeking info about some sort of crazy allergic skin reaction she has been having since this past Sunday. She has not changed anything as far as detergents, meds, etc. She is really miserable and has been literally clawing at her skin all over until shes bleeding. She went to the dr yesterday and this is the note she sent me: "Got a steroid shot, some medication 200 times better than Bendryl, and some sort of topical cream. Not real sure what it is caused from, but it is no psorais (sp?) or scabies (which IS going around). Some type of dermatitis. So far
