  1. Now that is just mean . Im way down here in south Ga and you're not. I cant wait til March when I visit and get my Olive Tree fix! Hope you guys have a big, successful night tonight. The restaurant in recent pics looks great(saw the addition).
  2. Dangit...I left out the "found a dog/gotta get rid of a dog" topic. I'm sure somebody can do something nice with it... .
  3. LOL true and good point! I was impressed by the way they handled her too though. Lots of people would have seized the opportunity to be downright nasty and what good is that really going to do? I think her response was one that actually made the lady rewind for a second and realize that the word is getting out that she's a phoney.
  4. I would have been just as shocked. However, the longer I live the more I realize there are some REALLY bad people in the world that you HOPE you never tangle with...bet he's one of those. You, me and other normal, hardworking people dont think like "they" think so it IS shocking when it happens right in front of us.
  5. WOOT! (can I still use "woot"?) BTW, I bet Miss Jessie was directing traffic with her Bible, big stick and tambourine in the bar parking lot. I mean, its after Martins has already closed for the day so she's free. (I do love Miss Jessie)
  6. You did the right thing. Glad you are okay. You dont need to take any chances with a person like that unless there is NO other choice. I bet they'll find him.
  7. Great response! Good for you. Sounds like she does have her "stories" prepared... .
  8. is school out on Monday...and............. which day are we trick-or-treating this year?
  9. I understand but it may surprise you. He could have some "money" connection you arent aware of. Not meaning it to be anything sinister at all...it could just be a friend who let him borrow $ or maybe he sold something. Probably wouldnt amount to much though which might end up being a good thing. He will give up after being uncomfortable and depleting his resources which seem to be few.
  10. That is beautiful. Gave me chills to read it. No one is perfect and every couple has their ups and downs and has to compromise at times. You can even see that in this letter. Thanks for sharing.
  11. Heard that, too...and that she was seen leaving with a lady..... in a blue Jeep.
  12. Hey, there's a pit bull thread going on presently. Think I may start one on jehovahs witness' knocking on doors to round out the day.
  13. Did he have any money with him or a way to get money? He could have taken Greyhound. It's cheap, they dont ask questions and it does take longer to get anywhere than driving or riding in a car. Might want to ask the police if theres a way to track a person that way(by contacting Greyhound, etc).
  14. Certainly. Still praying for him and his Mother. I really hope she gets some info today.
  15. I can certainly understand your concern for how a thread like this can go, especially in light of the recent missing woman from Cedartown. I'm glad you didnt let that keep you from posting this and getting the word out.I'm south of you all by a few hours but I WILL be praying for his very quick and safe return and for is Mother. I know this has to agony for her. God sees him, no matter where he tries to go, and loves him. I pray that a lot of good things will come from this bad situation for this young man and his family. BTW, I am in Valdosta on the Fl. line. If his Mother thinks any
  16. Prayers for this family. She was far too young to die. Very sad...I know she will be missed.
  17. Yes but based on WHAT WE SPEND not penalized for what we make.
  18. All I have to say is... NOT HERE NOT HERE NOT HERE!!! :yahoo: ........................................................................................................ I miss lots of things there but snow and ice AINT one of them! Valdosta Weather Forecast
  19. I couldnt get the link to work but if you go to Dr Oz Show and search for Montel Williams Energy Plan, it will come up. It is a recipe plus a 3 part plan/video. He's not selling anything. He has MS and has gone on an all out mission to stay as healthy and active as he can. He looks great and this plan makes a LOT of sense once you hear what he has to say. It's for energy and pain relief. I believe it but I DO think its the newest health scare. I have talked to way too many ppl who are suddenly vitamin D deprived. We do spend more time indoors than ever as a society and I Do think we need a
  20. Probably some kooky "un-schooling" family. It would actually make sense if that were the case. I mean, it would help explain the Mothers reasoning for letting her child freely wander the store out of her sight...too stupid for words.
  21. I LOVE when he gave a list of her daily responsibilities..."get up and get on the bus." Good for him. With strong willed kids, sometimes you have to do extreme things to (as my Mother used to say) "make believers out of them".
  22. HAHAHA! I just commented on the SAME thing, Momof3. Those were a big part of my life. We went to the ones on Roswell Rd in Marietta and also the Woolworths in Smyrna at Cobb Center. My Grandmother was a professional seamstress and made custom mens suits at Sauls there. We would go have lunch with her once a week at the cafeteria there(I cant remember the name of it...darn it). We'd look around in Sauls, Richs, Woolworths, Kesslers and Bakers shoes(where they had shoes that were actually my size). Fun memories.
  23. Teeny hi-jack: I grew up with those places, too, in Marietta, on Roswell Road. My second PT job as a teen was at Woolworths.
  24. Did she figure out your posts were being hidden from her through other people discussing them with her? Thats the only way I know that anyone could figure out that they are not seeing everything. I have a few ppl that I hide some posts from. Only b/c of the typical family sort of drama that runs thru every family. With some ppl, keeping a friendly distance but still having them in your life is the best way to handle them.
