On the other hand, you could video it and add verbiage for the cat & dog. You might win the funniest video prize. Can we all vote on it? Anyone else wanna see it? -

LOST at Hiram Home Depot **please help me find** (pic inside)
krwills replied to Janell's topic in RECENT TOPICS
If she took it off in the store, was it at the construction table? If it was it could have been put away with the store's items. I do not want to believe that anyone would not return something that clearly belonged to a child. I hope that it is found & returned. You might also ask if you could post a notice on the doors of the store, or if they would do something like that for you. -

Last nights supper thread - homemade sausage log and Puy lentils

Have you tried cooking that sausage log in the smoker? That is also a treat. Even a roll of Jimmy Deans cooked whole in a smoker is really different. -
Petition against a Metal Recycling facility on Hwy 61 South?
krwills replied to Mrs G's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Have all of you never noticed that in bigger, better developed areas, the major highways usually become industrial & retail properties? Homes become offices then bulldozed and new developments are built. If Paulding never gets any major businesses, it will always be a bedroom community that everyone that works, will have to make a long commit elsewhere to work. The roads will stay clogged due to a lack of tax base. Nothing will improve. "Bedroom Community" I first heard those words in school as a child. I moved from Cobb County to Hiram. That was the description the teacher gave the are -
Petition against a Metal Recycling facility on Hwy 61 South?
krwills replied to Mrs G's topic in RECENT TOPICS
If it could be a REAL recycling center, with rail access it could be a good thing. Having to move the material by truck becomes expensive. Schnitzer Recycling in Cartersville is a large prosperous business, with many employees. They accept all types metal and have the ability to compress the differant types into cubes, that are transported mostly by rail car. They do not smelt any metals there, just collect, shread and compress, or ship out. Recycling is a good thing for our planet. It would be a good thing for people to have a place closer, to get rid of scrap metal, not just aluminum ca -

Good News For Paulding! Will We Finally Get Reservoir?
krwills replied to NewsJunky's topic in RECENT TOPICS
No water source, bad soil, and no good dam site, it all sounds like such a good plan to pour money into. There were about 3 decent sites in which to put a good reservoir in, I guess no one owned the land there that helped to push through the planning. An inter basin transfer of water will take an act of freeking congress, I do do see this being anything more than a dream. EPA has boundaries. Such a SHAME that they did not plan the reservoir in a place that it could work. Too large an area to put a clay bottom in, to hold water. Too poor rock formation to put a stable dam, without tremen -
OH DEAR, Gag me! Here's what I offer. (I use "you" as this needs to be addressed the the Baby Daddy) Give baby mama a calender with your work schedule. You keep one too. When weekends are swapped, make arrangements for the make-up weekend then. Do not let her say the girls are sitting waiting for you on a weekend she knows you are working. Good grief! She is in contempt when you are not allowed to get them on your weekend. You have to keep the records. Make small notes on the reasons for the swaps. You will need them in court, and it does appear you will be going there. Poor gi

Officer's version of Ferguson shooting revealed
krwills replied to HardwareDJ's topic in RECENT TOPICS
This is all being told as a very different story in other places. I just returned from Mexico, and the news there is all about the rioting here because a cop killed a gang member, and all the gangs are rioting. I found it strange that they have a totally different version of the entire matter. It certainly shows how our news is always sort of "Candy Coated" to portray what the media wants us to hear. -
Western By pass to airport back into planning stages
krwills replied to WHITEY's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Why do you the the Red Top Mtn. Rd extension was taken out to Hwy 61 like it was? To make it faster to get to Rockmart? LOL People the progress is coming. The best we can hope for is that some good planning is put into it, and it does make traffic flow better. So much of these changes have in in the planning for decades. How quickly we forget, or were not here for, when it all started. The big picture come in small pieces, like a puzzle. It does make the whole picture if you remember to use all the pieces. -

Rush Limbaugh: Robin Williams killed himself due to ‘leftist world view’
krwills replied to LPPT's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I agree. I think the only reason he speaks is to get attention, attention of any kind. The only good thing that I hope might happen from the sad death of an icon like Robin Williams, is that it may bring more attention to depression, and the need for better treatment. I hope his tortured mind is at rest. It would be bad to think he's gone to a hell worse that he lived in. -
They also did work for me. Great people, great price. Yes in Kennesaw, right across from where I work. (off Jiles Rd. on Baker Court) There are 2 more places very near here. If you come out this way, I'll be glad to let you know where they are too. ALWAYS pays to get several quotes.

For the rest of us that don't mind frying, try using instant potato flakes instead of flour for batter. The pouches of flavored potatoes work great. Just spread them on a plate or dump in a zip-lock and keep pressing the flakes in as they are absorbed. It's more like a country fried steak.

Bill Carruth Parkway was going to solve all that. Back in the day when I could, I would email a lot of officials about the traffic problems in Paulding, and the big solution I got then was " We are going to 4-lane Hwy 92". Well Hwy 92 should have been 4 lanes & finished 30 years ago, if that was going to help. Adding 40 11 million homes on 2 lane cow trails did not help Paulding County at all.

How Can This Happen In Georgia. Who's Running Our State?
krwills replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
If you ever took a plant tour to any of these places, you would ask "how does not happen more often". Food production factories are really scarey, for the most part. Mass production of processed food should not be taken lightly, but it takes a lot of time to shut down, and properly clean the equipment. Demands for food, and meeting deadlines, lack of enough skilled workers, inadequate facilities, greed, lax attitudes, and not enough inspectors, and not enough follow-up on bad reports, are to blame. -
No you didn't. I just put out a very likely reason for her actions. When your daughter rebels from you and her family, you have to prepare for a lot of things. I was just saying that would not be the worst of them. My heart goes out to her, and hope the situation is better soon. I meant no harm. Like I mentioned, my family is going through the same thing with an 18yo grandson. It is terrifying.
-
Brace yourself to be a grand-mother. That is not the worst that can happen. My heart goes out to you. Going through just about the same thing with an 18 year old grandson, but know he is making really bad choices, and can still not help him. We have to trust what we have taught them, to bring them back to the person they were raised to be. Stay strong as possible. We all are here to do what we can.

I do not know what the plans are for the area across 411 near Toyo Tire. Sharptop Trees is moving out all of their trees from the area. The railroad is through that tract.
