That crossing should be closed. It is not even safe to cross in a car, or even on foot. There is an underpass where you don't even have to cross the tracks only about 1/2 mile from there. No one that knows the area would ever attempt to cross at that spot. It is ALL clearly marked "no trucks". If it were closed, people would not keep trying to make it. There is no reason for it to remain open. There are several safer crossing spots.

Amen!!! A judge that thiks it's ok to shoot at your neighbors, just because you've always been a little "colorful", needs to be shot at in his own yard and see how danged colorful it is. I wonder if my old neighbor would like to relocate for a while?

If we means DD then believe me I am GONE! Respect your time? How about respect your paying customers? Without them, there is no you. I have worked 7-5, 5 days a week for many years and still find time to care for my customers. If you are really from there you don't need to be! Cost you money? Without customers, you won't have ANY. I really hope you are not from there. I have always liked the entire staff there, and still do. I just can no longer take the time to go there. I was asking for recommendations, not a scolding from some spoiled

Our time??? I was in traffic 1 hour & 15 minutes for a trip that should be 35-45 minutes max. There were 3 appointments involved to be switched around. There was no concern for me at all. I have to take a 1/2 day of vacation to go there. I have been foolish to continue to go there. Their office does not need or want my business. I need someone that does. If I could afford all the fancy car phone equipment, I'd have just had my butler call. Like I said, I NEVER got called back on time, and I never even complained. I appreciate the referenc

Can we all petition for changing the time in the spring be done at noon on a Monday? -
Hahaha what part of Hwy 92, Bobo Road or 278 should I pull out my phone & look up a number to call? I am in heavy stop and go traffic. They have all my numbers, and are in an office. In all our 30 years of hundreds of appointments, we have never missed an appointment or been late. Unlike the many times we have had to sit long times waiting for them to get to us. I have never gotten taken back at the exact time of my appointment. NEVER and usually I am the 1st patient of the day. I am over it, and will go somewhere else. Plus, with their big sign out front saying they are taking new pati

I am looking for a new dentist in the Acworth or Kennesaw area. I and my family have been using the same dentist in Dallas for 30 years. This morning I was treated as if I was a stranger that walked in off the street and asked for free dental work. I drove an hour and 15 minutes to walk in 15 minutes late, and be told they would not even work me in. They had taken someone in front of my appt. because they thought I was not coming. I did confirm my appt. on line. If I am not worthy of at least a phone call, I need a new dentist. I was stuck in Paulding traffic. So they take someone in fr

Slow-poke bill aims to stop left-lane lingerers
krwills replied to AustinPlantation's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I have actually talked to people that really believed it was their duty to make sure do one went over the speed limit. They made sure to stay beside other cars and stay at the same speed. I did not kill those fools, but I did tell them they were risking their lives around here if they do that. People that are afraid of changing lanes should not drive on the expressways. I have often felt that was why so many people move to the left lane and stay there. I really believe in moving over, and let the speeders go past me. I call them ticket bait. If just talking about moving over, make -

Oh hell the "New Era" even hides the special election notices in the crack of the darned pages so no one knows, except the freaks that want to increase everyone's taxes. I thought I was going to tuck my tail & run from this post, but I think I have to admit that NO ONE admits running this county into the ground. It's a sad thing that Paulding has never (in my lifetime)had true LEADERSHIP. Bless their hearts

Henry's grits are so good, I don't even need the shrimp. I LOVE his seafood cakes too. It's like a crap cake, but also has craw-fish in them.

It will help the Paulding economy by people in Paulding buying gas to go to Bartow events!LOL! Lighten up folks. Be glad there is going to be more interesting stuff to do close by.

It's a full moon and almost Christmas. Stress is high, but please take some time to breathe and appreciate what you have. No matter how bad you think things are for you, they could always be worse. This is the only life you get, and if you do not find a way to have some happiness in it....you have wasted it. May you all take time to make someone else fill better through the holidays, and it will come back to you in an even bigger manner.

Does anyone remember the stuff they called "angel hair" that people used to put on the trees?

I had a hard time watching that Hardy Tag spin for so long!! Ya need a way to turn off or change that banner!! I can't look at another Hardy"s sign for 6 months. I have been telling you all that they are building a wonderful place up here. -
So Sad and Disrespectful (In My Opinion)..........

I am just still amazed at the fact some of you still believe you have a voice in anything that happens in Paulding politics. It has, and probably always will be, in the hands of just a few good ol boys that will stuff their pockets at the cost of the citizens as long as they draw breath here. -
No idea. I love it though.
-
Eww, think about this: I've seen a lot of folks that I don't think could actually turn around in a stall. Once ya see it, you can never un-see it!
-
Well heck! If no one is going, I am. There won't be anyone to complain about my shelter anyway. BUT>>>> If you happen to go and you see me, with my pop-up (with or without decorations) and forty-eleven children, just smile & wave boys, just smile & wave! If it pours rain, you might want to make friends. :-)
-
I know. Right? It is usually quite a hike from where you park, and where you can see the parade. AKKKK!! Not a quick dash to the car with a gang of kids. A pop-up would allow more freedom, and does not seem like it would block views as bad as 20 umbrellas for our group. Hey I could even put decorations on it!

I love the Dallas Christmas Parade, and have made it a family tradition. With the chance of rain being very strong for tomorrow, I am worried about all the kids out in it. The newest grandson is 7 months old. Umbrellas for every one is going to make it hard for everyone to enjoy the parade. Is anyone doing pop-up shelters? When thinking about bringing 8-12 children with me.......I am looking for ideas. We used to always park a pickup truck backed up to the area, but that has become almost impossible now, too. I am about to talk myself outta going, but want to take the kids to enjoy it
