  1. At least lead them toward Bartow County. A lot of people would be thrilled to NOT be driving in Atlanta traffic to work. The Industrial facilities are pretty unlimited there. There are several companies building their own buildings, and many more are available. The train rails run through most of them. If you want to check google maps, take a look in Emerson to Cartersville on the left of Hwy 41. Then also in Cartersville they come up and turn toward 411. That makes a lot of rail access. They continue on into Adairsville and Calhoun, but don't make it too far for the Paulding people th
  2. The brief radio brief was all I heard too. I came here for a better report. It would be better to know if some attacker was still on the loose. The public can often be helpful, with a better idea of what they need to be looking for. I dislike bad publicity as bad as anyone, but something like this seems it would be better to inform the public.
  3. They are adorable. Congrats! 6 more duckie names now....
  4. I'd say the 1/2 baked reporter needs to go back to Mamby Pamby Land and find a new career. Law abiding citizens should not have to house, feed and care for, scumbag murderers for so long, before the sentence is carried out.
  5. If you would leave a child in a car, you do not care if someone takes them. If it is too hot to leave a box of crayons or a chocolate bar, it's too hot to leave a child or animal. We should all get into the habit of looking in our cars, making sure we are leaving nothing heat could damage and locking the doors. Even a can of hairspray, sunscreen, paint, tire sealant, etc. can explode quickly in a car. Locking the doors would prevent anyone entering for any reason, even a child. (except a thief) I can not walk through a parking lot anymore without looking & listening. I could not imagi
  6. I can't stay away from P.com either. Glad I'm not the only one. Hello. Good to hear from you.
  7. Awe glad you got some sugar. Publix has buy 1 got one free on 4 pound Dixie crystals, We are all glad you are doing BETTER!!!
  8. It takes very little to move right and let a car pass. It takes a lot of speed to pass some jerk-off hogging the left lane, that will not move over. The break big enough for you to pass, and get back over is usually not available. That is were road rage begins. The common sense thing to do (which some cannot ever comprehend) is stay right, unless you are passing. If you think it is your God given right to make sure no one goes faster than the speed limit, GET A JOB AS A TRAFFIC COP!!! I ride in thick traffic a lot. I see people drag along beside other cars, all going the same speed...
  9. The sad truth is, had it been his cell phone he would have remembered it. I cannot imagine the horrible death that baby had. I also cannot imagine the hell this Father will go through. May God help them all. They will need it.
  10. Check the Bartow County want adds they have several companies looking for welders.
  11. It is probably because they have several jobs going at the same time. They work a little at each of them to try to keep from being fired from them. They should have more workers, but they don't hire them, because of the added expense. Load up and follow them one time.
  12. Good grief. I think we need to ban televisions. Watching so much crap on tv makes some people so insensitive to reality that they are not shocked by anything, They see horrible things that their minds would never come up with, without that bad influence. I'd rather see tv shows with meaning & good messages. I watch very little tv anymore. It became the "sitter of the children" when they were home, and no one bothered to see what they were watching.
  13. Wow! Very sad posts here. I have had problems with neighbor dogs, cats and even my own pets, but cannot imagine just shooting one. (pet not neighbor) I have even shot bottle rockets toward my own cats to stop them from bothering the birdhouses. I have had to resort to a live trap to show people that "yes" your pet is continuing to come into my yard. (usually to poop) When they have to come and get their pet from the trap in my yard, they really make an effort to be a better neighbor. I didn't kill their animal. They still have their pet and I no longer had the problem. If I caught the sa
  14. Also think about being able to place chairs either in or out of the sun as needed. Look at where the sun is at different times of the day and where you would want to sit. If you want the one edge that close to the pool, you might consider egg rock, or something that you can still walk on, and blow off with the leaf blower. You do not want to cut grass anywhere near the pool. Even with a bagger, it blows crap every where. I want you to really enjoy your pool. Good planning can make that much easier. You not going to let the duckies play in the pool. LOL! We gonna need a lot of
  15. Beautiful! BUT, you may want to consider that you will not be able to leaf blow all the way around the pool. Plants near the pool will drop stuff into the pool. They will also capture and drop other debris that blows by. Our pool only has about 3 feet of concrete around part of it and I wish it were wider. Are you going to cover in the winter? You will need to be able to anchor the safety cover, if so. It will make installing and removing the cover easier. Same goes for adding or removing a solar cover. Being able to walk all the way around the pool is also a safety feature. Just ad
  16. In an area with so few jobs and potential for jobs, I do wish more people could open up to the fact that the airport can be a valuable asset to Paulding and the surrounding area. I would like to know that it is done safely and so on....but not much say for the little people in big matters like this. Just consider that growth is going to happen. Just hope that it is done better than the thousands of houses that were built on 2 lane cow trail roads. Hope that there is some actual PLANNING done first. BUT to get actual planning, you need officials in charge that have brain cells that functi
  17. I prefer a concealed holster, myself. If someone wants to go wacko on me I prefer not to show my hand until necessary. Exposed weapons make me feel like the wearer just likes the attention.
  18. I knew this thread would go sidewards real quick. All I can say is you are a mighty lucky woman!
  19. Beautiful pictures, precious baby! Looks like your son is in love again. I know you both are too. Congrats!!
  20. Note to folks who drink beer and go to gig frogs: Always have a separate cooler to put the frogs in. NEVER put them in the beer cooler. They do not sing BU-WIZ-ER. They make your beer taste VERY bad!
  21. We had a huge frog leg cookout at our house one night. We had 1 woman that was so offended by the sight of them, that in secret someone took a whole eaten leg (complete with foot) and dropped it into her purse. The next morning she was shopping in a large mall store with several friends, and when she went to pay.....as she pulled her wallet ...out fell the frog leg. She screamed and left the store without her merchandise. I always LOL when I think of frog legs.
  22. The women were not paid for their services, and he did not have sex with them. It was a cuban.
