  1. But you can't get a 1200 thread count, deep pocket, king size sheet set for $14.00 at Publix.
  2. At BH in Kennesaw I bought an awesome Singer sewing machine for $45.00. Every item the put on the shelf gets a date code. When you go into the store, get a date code de-coder sheet. (not as cool as a ring, but it helps) Every week the item goes down on sell price. They don't mark them, you have to look at the sheet, to see the additional discount. My machine had been $135.00 but was down to 75% off. I did open the box to insure all the parts were there. LOL I did buy the one I opened too. (Machine was $275.00 at JoAnn's) If you don't like the mess, you can still browse through just
  3. Have you seen the planed Polar-coaster for Lake Pointe in Emerson? Polercoaster in Georgia ? LakePoint to Build First ... Hope this works.
  4. Another trick I found on labels is: "Reduced-Fat" versions of an item usually have more sugar than the regular version.
  5. AND Bartow has me! Paulding County didn't want me, why would they want anything else that is fun? Hey at least you can come visit.
  6. Not trying to hijack this thread, but I also heard a worker for the Water Department was hit by a car a few days ago, and is still in the hospital. Does anyone know anything about it?
  7. Enforcing it wouldn't be difficult if they sat like vultures in the areas it happens, not far from the fast food places, usually. They would be more likely to do that if it did, in fact bring in more revenue, so they could hire more police, to bring in more revenue. See a pattern here? LOL The Adopt a Road program has helped more than we expected, partly because people that litter are seeing us out picking up the crap they threw out. It has slowly gotten better, but as long as people are more important in their own minds, than our environment, there will be litterbugs. To me it is important t
  8. When a littering ticket brings in as much revenue as a speeding ticket, you might get some help with the problem. I am a member of a "Adopt a Road" program in my neighborhood. It is a great way to meet neighbors, take pride in the community, improve the area, and teach children why it is important to not litter.
  9. OOOPS! I guess that shows where I was before I posted.

    Burnt toast

Also, on another note, If there had been any more bread she would have fixed him a better piece of toast, and she would have eaten the burnt one.
  11. I want to let you all know I found a great place to get replacement covers for Gazebos, swings, chair cushions and stuff. Last year I had to repair or get rid of my gazebo. I really enjoy it, so I started looking into buying a new fabric cover. I found www.gardenwinds.com . I was able to search by where I had bought it and easily found the right one. I installed it by myself. (NOT recommended) and it looked great. It is much stronger fabric that the original was made from and has held up well all winter. So if you or you neighbors have an unsightly gazebo, it can be easily repai
  12. I like a little finely chopped celery in my chicken salad. It makes me feel like its a little healthier too. LOL
  13. WE ARE TRICK OR TREATING BOTH NIGHTS THIS HALLOWEEN! We have the Christmas Parade on Saturday, even if it rains. And we have missed you!!
  14. Hydrant flushing does stir up sediment in the pipes. It's a good thing to flush the lines. If you take a look at another method of water main cleaning in the link below, you will either be glad we flush the lines, or NEVER want to use tap water again. Some areas use a cleaning method called "pigging". They take the top off a fire hydrant and push spongy plugs through the lines to another fire hydrant. The pigs push the sediment out of the lines, and the pigs inserted are increasingly stiffer through the process. See if this link works for you. http://www.pipepigs.com/video.htm Y
  15. I saw several large groups headed north last weekend. I was thinking they were awfully optimistic.
  16. I think men are much harder to buy something for. Most have all they want, if they don't they go get it. They only like fragrance they pick. They don't want flowers. Just how many guns can a woman buy a man? UGH! This year he getting rocks. Prospector's Pouch has awesome rocks. I got him a beautiful smoky quartz display and a slice of something called Peanut Stone. We buy rocks and crap on vacation. Also if he doesn't like them, I can throw them at him Did anyone really have a great idea for their man, other than the obvious? In the good old days he got lingerie filled with me. Now tha
  17. I have done HMMMMM so many times now that the guy in the next office asked what song I was humming. LMAO Great topic for a Friday morning. Thank you.
  18. I never understood why Walmart sells the Jiff with 2 jars of the same type stuck together. Don't they know some of us like variety? Do only the stable, one typers deserve better prices than us variety lovers?
  19. Glad to hear that. No one believes they can love anyone more than they love their own child, until they have a grandchild. Hug them all an extra one.
  20. Religion has always helped this country to have hope, and survive. It gives people hope, and belief that if you live right, do right, and believe, you will have higher rewards after this life. When a society has no religion, no hope, no faith, no reason to do the right things, it becomes a society that simply is never going to be happy.] They function for what they can gather. People do what they feel they have to do, not what they should do, or even what they want to do. Without respect for others, or themselves, or love to keep them focused, people just look for things to make them feel b
  21. I hope, beyond hope that this family does not play all this off as a stunt to have either her passing, or funeral on the same day as Whitney's. So sad to even have to have thoughts like that, but it looks as their tickets to fame are all fading away. Tragic life. Tragic existence. I cannot imagine a recovery, but I will still pray for her, and her family to have peace. I think her tragic life touches us all.
  22. I bought a Gammo. I bought the less expensive one. The scope would not stay tight on the gun after a while. I ended up going back and springing for the Gammo Bone Collector. It has done well, so far. Pop those suckers out of the top of a tree, one after the other. Not cheap, but when you shoot as often as I do, it needs to hold together.
  23. They were from Paulding County. There was NO program or help for addicts available or OFFERED! Addicts need rehabilitation, NOT prison. Prison forces us to support people. There is hope for addicts, with proper programs. Prison is not a program that helps anyone.
  24. I hate to have to say you are completely wrong. I have known people that just would never quit smoking pot. They were arrested over & over. They were taken in for violation of probation several times and spent time in PRISON for STUPID POSSESSION. It DOES happen.
  25. I believe that our prison system does not work. It does not rehabilitate our criminals, nor does it deter their behavior enough prevent them from minding if they go back. If they can have 3 hot meals, comfortable bed, laundry service, legal representation, gym access, television, heat & air conditioning, medical, dental & vision care, free drugs, and more for not even lifting a finger, why should they care to do better? Even the process of getting the real criminals into jail is not working, yet we do keep people convicted of petty crimes behind bars too long. It would take
