  1. I still think they should teach survival skills like growing food, common sense, manners, and hygiene. Obviously they are no longer taught at home. But, then I do still admire the people that were able to come to this country, basically with nothing, and carve out a life for themselves and their families. It may just be the spirit of being able to do whatever you have to to, and doing it well. Now go eat your tablet. I do understand that this is the electronic age, but you do not need to have living skills, too.
  2. I do not bid on anything listed as occupied, because guess who has to get them out if you buy it?
  3. Even bottle rockets over the top of him hasn't helped. I have feeders 12' in the air, and also extended some way off the second story deck. He still hasn't killed himself. He is obsessed with all the birds. Baby Carolina wrens in a gourd, extended from a pole 15' off the ground disappeared without a trace. If I could train him to prefer Grackles, Geese, Crows and Sparrows, I might could deal with it. Why don't they make bird flavored cat food?
  4. I found the easiest thing was to have several feeders, so I can take out a fresh, cleaned, filled feeder. I then take in the used ones to clean and let dry. I never liked cleaning and putting them right back. I wanted to make sure they were safe. Now I have a stupid cat that can catch them. Anyone want a stupid cat?
  5. You also have the Flea Market on Hwy 92 @ Hwy 41. The Avon booth is the closest unit to that parking lot, too. First unit on the left, if you go in the door on the right side end of the building.
  6. I was actually very impressed with the depths they went to, looking into what each of the defendants had done and not done. The judge stated that the area was now reaping the destruction they had sown. That many of the children that were deprived a real education, because of their actions, are the ones committing the majority of the crimes in the area. Good teachers were fired. The ability to teach & improve lives was destroyed. Their actions have had an impact across the county. The judge did his job. It's a shame they did not.

It is Paulding County and you can forget anything that makes sense. Unless it puts money into the pockets of the "good old boys" it aint gonna happen. I am so sorry. Been there done that, got the t-shirt and it is not worth wearing..
  8. AND I thought you were going to get a real pink, fur-less grand-baby. I'll keep waiting for that one.
  9. Oh yes, something for everyone. A hay bale swimming pool might get get frowned upon by the HOA. LOL There are some cute ideas. I do hope several people are there to supervise the children on most of these though.
  10. Please, be cautious! People will sell you land that you have no legal access to get to. If it does not have road frontage, make sure it does have a legal, deeded access. Just because there is a driveway, or road into it, does not mean it's legal access. Good luck with finding what you want, and building your home.
  11. We have so much in common. At least we both survived to live somewhere else. I would like to believe the sting lessens, but mine is still very strong after 5 years. I am glad so many people have helped. So can I go dig up your yard now? LOL
  12. You should try being a "child support paying Dad" trying to get custody of daughter from your dead beat, crack hoe, homeless baby Mama. After thousands of dollars in attorney fees, you are still not notified when she looses the kid (and her younger kids) to DFAC Services when she goes to jail AGAIN! This is a all a horrible, vicious system. Total of 6 men tested before he even found out the little girl was his. Child was almost 4 years old. Mom was living with someone else when she got pregnant. She has never had a home of her own, always staying with some guy, dragging the kids around. Mo

  14. I was a little shocked that she said that. I see it is an extension of separating the American public. As long as RACE is even mentioned, it divides people. We are all humans, and "race" needs to be eliminated from our vocabulary, public documents and minds. We are all a blend of many races, heritages, religions, and embrace that, we should. All young people should be empowered to make themselves a good life. I expected better of our First Lady, but our President is not a "leader of our people" either. I still admire the presidents that gave inspirational, motivating speeches. Even
  15. When they were in the corn meal, they were considered the meat for the meal. Just stir them into the cornbread and bake.
  16. They have been biting good at home too. I tried baking some and they were awesome. No more frying mess for me. I dried them, rubbed a little mayo on them, sprinkled them with panko crumbs and Parmesan cheese.
  17. Is this happening from the same location? Do you have more that 1 Wifi network there? It could be trying to connect to another network than you normally use. (especially if it is not the same location) Check your Wifi first. Make sure you are connected to the one you normally use, then log on. Get logged on and change & save the new password.
  18. WTH? It's close to the end of the month. I needed to sell my cans to get some dranking money. I don't have a truck I can borrow.
  19. Ok, for those that want to garden, but have a large deer population, there is still hope. They do not like Purple Ruffles Basil. If you plant that stuff around and among the plants you like, deer are far less likely to eat all your plants. The basil looks really dark purple and looks great with Elephant Ears and Dusty Miller. Deer are browsers and will normally walk on to find foliage they prefer. The basil will reseed itself year after year, so you can dig it and move it back around the preferred plants. Also, the basil is easier to pull up than most weeds, so it also shades out some more
  20. Oh yeah I could have gone one all day with the bleeding hearts crap, but I am at work.
  21. I would be a good idea.....except: # 1. It was an opened box of ammo. How do we know it wasn't tampered with? # 2. What caliber is the ammo? Is it excessive? # 3. The blanks used in some of the weapons, could cause excessive noise, which would be stressful to the prisoner. # 4. Who chose the firing squad? The makeup is biased. # 5. Who trained the firing squad? Are we sure they are all qualified? # 6. The weapons are all identical. How are they calibrated for accuracy? # 7. The ammo used, is it manufactured in the United States? # 8. Who tests the accuracy of the ammo? # 9. Shootin
  22. I MUST STOP OPENING FOOD THREADS!! NOW I THINK I'M STARVING.
  23. As long as this world talks about race and color there will be prejudice. We are people. We are all people, no better, no worse. Until we can look, talk and feel that way, we are doomed to fail. I cringe every time I hear the words, race or color. If MLK Jr. could have continued his leadership, I want to believe we could be a lot closer to eliminating the hate. He was a true leader, an inspiration to us all. Our world needs more inspirational leaders.
  24. Say hello to my Mom at this one. She is also known as dancing Dot. 86 years young and loving life.
