I've been working with this for 13 years. I moved here from NY and my ex went to AZ. I took a great deal less in child support than the state wanted me to because it we had it written into the divorce decree that "dad" was responsible for travel costs between GA/AZ. I also let my son miss some extra days of school tagged onto vacations to make the trip worth it (time change). He also spent MOST of the summer there. Major holidays we alternated years, but since I'm more a Christmas Eve person and his family does Christmas dinner later on Christmas day, I pretty much had my son every Christma

I have no advice, but that was great writing!

Go past Valdosta and use the Welcome Center on the GA side. (you will have to go into FL to the 1st exit and flip around. There is plenty of grassy areas and it has restrooms!

I heard that Barrett was closed at 41 this morning... don't know if that has changed, but I'd check it.
