  1. Another recommendation for Pates. We have used them for years, and they are great.
  2. It has a very complicated storyline. If you miss 2 minutes, you may miss out on important plot developments. A very fast moving script.
  3. I can't resist a red velvet cupcake. I just can't. Really.
  4. Be sure to put a sign inside your store to direct the customers to the "facilities".... "There's a bathroom on the right" Bell Bottom Blueberry Muffins
  5. I didn't realize there was an Occupy Paulding County protest.
  6. I was on a Delta flight a couple of weeks ago where the Big Person / Seat Size became an issue in the row behind me that almost came to blows. We were on a small plane, with only two seats on each side of the aisle. Behind us was a person in the aisle seat, and the window seat was unoccupied. After takeoff, when the seatbelt light went off, a rather large person came up from the back of the plane, and tried to squeeze into the window seat behind us. The person in the aisle seat was not huge, but was not a small person either. The big guy said the flight attendant told him he
  7. I noticed he slipped a "And Beyond!!!!" into the script. Go Buzz Lightyear!
  8. OMG!! OMG!!! I just saw Ben Stiller!!!!! For real!!! On my way home from work tonight, I was stopped at a red light in the left turn lane at 61 and the road behind Kroger on 278, waiting for the light to change. I saw a police car with all his lights flashing approaching the intersection from my left at a very slow speed. He turned right onto the street I was on, and I thought it was odd that as he passed by me, I could see there were no markings at all on the car. Directly behind him were two more squad cars without their emergency lights on, but they were marked as Dallas city police
  9. I'm guessing Cobb will pass it. I'm closer to Douglas county, and not sure which way it may go there. I'm wondering who will get Paulding's Sunday business. The communities that pass Sunday sales will definitely come out ahead financially.
  10. We decided this afternoon that pizza would be good for dinner tonight. It sure would be nice to have a beer with our pizza, but the beer aisles are all blocked off at the grocery stores on Sunday. It probably won't be long until a local community around here votes to allow Sunday sales. I expect Paulding county won't be voting in favor of this any time soon, but there will be some place nearby that will. How far from Paulding do you suppose a person will have to drive to buy a six-pack on a Sunday afternoon by the end of this year?
  11. I like that they don't have age limits. I'm rooting for the old pharts. But only the ones that sing well. Haven't seen any yet.
  12. We went today, and really enjoyed it. Although I was looking forward to visiting the booth of the guy that sells dulcimers, and he wasn't there this year. We did pick up a very nice wooden portrait of a Japanese Chin at one of the woodworker booths. We've bought from him in the past, but this is his last year. He is retiring because he thinks 80 is about time to quit work.
  13. New owners, new restaurant. Not scary at all.
  14. We went yesterday and really liked it. Although it is in the same location as the "Journey" Chinese restaurant, it is certainly not the same. The entire inside has been renovated, and is totally different. We will definitely go back.
  15. Joe Bastardi seems to have the best track record on predicting the course of hurricanes. He doesn't have this one forecasted out beyond the eastern Caribbean. Keep up with his forecasts on http://www.weatherbell.com/.
  16. My father in law lives with us. He can't walk very far. He doesn't drive, and doesn't own our car. He has a handicap hanging placard which we use when he is riding in the car. It has his name on it. And it is not temporary. It is valid for 5 years. We can't and don't use it when he is not in the car. But when he is in the car, he gets to benefit from the shorter walk from the handicap parking space.
  17. I'm making plans to attend my 40th right now. Go. Enjoy it. If you don't go, you will always wonder if you missed that last opportunity to see some classmate that might not be around for the next one. So many of my classmates have already passed away that I want to make sure I see the rest of them before they kick the bucket.
  18. I always have the health certificate when traveling with a pet. You never know when the location you are traveling through might require it. Better safe than sorry.
  19. Awww...... and Yum!!!!! And Happy Birthday!!!
  20. I much prefer cell phone company commercials about underarm hair. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iT89qfDx3yM But some may consider that as racist.
