  1. Oops. Never fear, Underdog is here!!! Big Green Egg Cooking Class Copy and paste was very different when Wally Cox was alive.
  2. The Local Three restaurant is hosting a big green egg cooking class, taught by chef Todd Mussman. It's a little expensive, but the price includes dinner and adult beverages. Big Green Egg Cooking Class
  3. I've had a schedule conflict come up, so I'm not going to be able to do this next weekend after all. I'll try again at a later date.
  4. You're asking for the difference between Bob's and Tom's? Hmmm....
  5. In order to move toward a more healthy lifestyle, my wife and I bought bikes recently. It had been over 20 years since we last rode bicycles. We've started riding on the Silver Comet Trail. This is a fantastic place for some good exercise! Today, we drove out of Paulding, and went to the Floyd Road trail head, and rode all the way to the beginning of the trail, and then took the Silver Comet Connector trail to Muss & Turners for lunch. The 12.2 mile trek in hot weather with high humidity and some challenging hills (for beginners) made it a tough ride. I'm looking forward to the ne

Now I'm wondering if the real owner of the purse is still looking for it, and if the "Hey that's my purse" woman was an opportunist.
  7. I chuckle at this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27hDzDiuetM
  8. Someone must have unsubbed, because I just signed up and got number 88.
  9. Pubby, I think you've gone way beyond contests. Those were good back in the day, but they were so.... 2000's.
  10. I remember the early Pcom contests with real prizes. I won a pair of his and hers watches for winning some trivia contest. It was pretty exciting. I've been on board for a long time. I may not post much, but I check in almost every day to see what is going on.
  11. We just finished watching Sharknado on the DVR. I think it was more absurd than Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.
  12. The Scootdawg.com message board has been shut down. The replacement scooter message board is itistheride.boards.net.
  13. Maxi scooters are made for interstate driving. Honda Silverwings, Suzuki Burgman 650, BMW, and a few other models, are built to cruise at interstate speeds, and can top out at 120mph+. Those models are more like touring motorcycles than the short wheelbase scooters with 10 inch wheels, though. Small scooters shouldn't be on any road where the speed limit exceeds 35 mph. They just don't have enough horsepower to compete with traffic.
  14. I've been driving a scooter to work for the past year and a half. Like you, I have a 30 mile commute each way, so I wanted a vehicle that would save money on gas. My scooter is an Aprilia Scarabeo 200. It is made by the Piaggio group, which makes the Vespa line. The Piaggio group is sort of like GM, with Vespa being like the Buick division, and Aprilia like the sports car division. But, the bottom line is that you really shouldn't ride 30 miles to work on a 49cc scooter. If you go with a 150cc or larger, you will be able to drive on roads with speed limits of up to 55mph, and
  15. We left our bag by the mailbox, and went to run errands. When we got back home, the mail had been dropped off, and the bag of cans were still there. The bag was in very plain sight. I don't have much respect for our carrier.
  16. We had chili. Hopefully for the last time this season. From now on, Sunday nights will be summer type fare. Like, leftovers.
  17. I wish someone would steal ours. We switched our trash collection company a month ago, and we can't get the old company to come pick up their trash can and recycling bin. The keep coming up with excuses like the truck broke down, clerical error, the planets were not in alignment, etc. But, their cans are still sitting out on our curb. We are thinking we may just chop them up, and put them in the recycling bin of the new company.
  18. So we want to plan a trip, and want to talk with someone about going to our destination that can help us with booking airfair, hotels, etc. Are there any local travel agents still around? Or has this service moved to an internet only type of thing?
  19. I love them! But they sure are messy to eat. I take them to work occasionally as an afternoon snack. To peel one, I cut it from the top to the bottom, with the knife following along the line of the pit. It winds ups with 3 sections, the left, the right, and the middle with the pit. Then, I slice the left and right sections from top to bottom in about 4 wedges. Each wedge, I run the knife along where the meat meets the rind. For the middle section with the pit, I just cut the meat sections away from the pit, and slice off the rind. This process yields a lot of juice, so I use a lo
  20. I think it's time we get a new groundhog.
  21. A quiet election that was not advertised. The only people that knew it was being voted on were the few that saw it on places such as P.com, or were told about it in their houses of worship. The general population was ignorant that this issue was up for a vote.
  22. That sucks. I hope this can be added to a general election in the future.
  23. My wife and I voted about 5:00 this afternoon at the Austin middle school. The parking lot was packed, and there were several people going in the building. However, there were a couple of school functions going on, and that's where all the people were going. When we got back to the voting area in the gym, we were outnumbered by the poll workers. And there were only 3 of them.
