  1. You can tune a piano, but you can't tune..............
  2. That's pretty neat, Converse! If you ever decide to recover your speaker cabinets, it's not very hard. I got an old beat up Peavey tube amp that was made back in the 70's, and overhauled the cabinet. I really enjoyed working on that project. Here's a set of before and after pics: I'd like to build an amp from scratch, but don't know anything about electronics. The cabinet part would be easy, though!
  3. You're gonna do great! I just hope you like the company as much as they are gonna like you!
  4. Ginko something. I can't remember the whole name.
  5. I got a Starbucks card once. It expired without being used because I've never been in a Starbucks.
  6. Just curious.... How many posts do you have now?
  7. I got my glasses from Zenni optical. Single vision glasses start at $8, so you could get 2 pair for $16 (+ $5 shipping). I wear bifocals, and I like the no-line lenses, so mine were a lot more. I priced them at Wal Mart, and they were going to be over $200, even with the cheapest available frames. I got mine from Zenni for under $60. You do have to adjust the nose and earpieces yourself, though. Or, you could do what my wife did with her Zenni glasses. She stopped in the optical department at Sam's Club, and they adjusted them for her for free.
  8. I read the topic title and thought it was about Saturday morning's weather forecast.
  9. Just curious, Kbush11, what decision did you come to on which package to get for your son?
  10. Trust It is an essential ingredient for a successful marriage. If you don't have that, you have a major problem. If you've got it, you don't need snooping on your spouse.
  11. She had to get him out of the car because she couldn't get enough backswing with him still in there.

  13. I'd suspect within a couple of hundred years, future cave explorers will come across his bones. Unless his bones fall through the hole he got stuck in.
  14. Paul Simon. 50 ways to leave your lover. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTiyLuZOs1A
  15. Hey, that looks just like the one in a container in MY kitchen!!! Oh, wait... It IS the same one! (Hi Honey!!!) I've been Googling for a black lizard with yellow spots, and the nearest I can find is a Spotted Salamader, but the spots on those are described as running in two rows. This guy just looks like he is mottled with spots, sort of like a reptilian dalmation. Anyone have a better guess on what this is, and what living conditions he needs? We'd like to release him back to the wild, but would prefer to keep him in the gene pool contributor category, and not have him wi
  16. Turkey is great when cooked in a smoker. Brine it first to keep the meat moist and flavorful. Soak it for 12 hours in a solution of 1/2 cup salt and 1/2 cup sugar per gallon of water. Add whatever spices to the brining solution that you like. I usually toss in some cayenne, cumin, and garlic. Dissolve the salt and sugar in a cup or two of boiling water, and add your other spices. Add the dissolved mixture to cold water to make your brining solution. You can use a large cooler to submerge a turkey, but make sure to add ice to keep it cooled down for the 12 hours of soaking. Rinse it off
  17. If you want a really good deal on starter guitar, First Act has several on sale for $49.99. First Act makes some really poor quality guitars that you may have seen for sale in places like Wal Mart and Target, but they also make some very decent mid range and upper range instruments. If you take a look at the online store, they have the sale guitars here: First Act Store - $49.99 guitars The two models on that page that are good are the Lola and the Sheena. The rest of the guitars on that page are far below the quality of these two models. Amazon sells both of these models, and gets

  21. Well, it does look like his clothes are half off.....
  22. They took the one out of Kroger on Ridge, too. It sure was convenient, and at $1 day was affordable too.
