  1. Seriously...it's not gonna get better than that!
  2. My grandmother watched it, my mom watched it and I watched it when the kids were little and I was a SAHM. I have still been able to catch it enough over the years to keep up with who's who and what's going on and it is the ONLY soap that I can say that about. I liked that the people on the show were diverse. Most soaps are all beautiful, perfect looking people; GL had older, heavier, handsome, pretty, not so pretty, etc. folks. I liked that. It made it more realistic. At the same time I wondered if that is also what made it not as appealing to people anymore. I happened to be home si
  3. I have 2 it was not a conscious decision to have 2, I just did it. I feel like 2 is a good number for me. However, I think it depends on you and your family. If you and your spouse and child long for another then I think maybe you should consider it. If you feel like your family of 3 is the perfect fit for your lifestyle then that is good too. I don't think that your child will be harmed in life by not having siblings if that is what you choose. I am sure she will have a family of her own and will probably remain close to her extended family as she grows up. People who come from familie
  4. Good idea. I knew it had to be all over Paulding County. I didn't think it could just be my circle of friends that were sick.
  5. Be prepared, they stuck a mask on me and put me in an isolated room when I got there yesterday.
  6. I am just wondering. Kind of trying to do a little poll of my own. I have a few friends who have been diagnosed with H1N1. I also have a friend who has the seasonal flu. I went to the doctor yesterday and was checked and diagnosed with just a viral infection. (thank goodness) It seems that I know an awful lot of sick folks so I was wondering if it is wide spread or just contained in the group of people that I know.
  7. My son lives in University Village. I am not sure if it is his dorm or not though he is not answering his phone. I bet if it is he was ticked off because he had to get out of bed. I am glad it was contained quickly though and no one was hurt. KSU is usually quick to respond to any emergency.
  8. Works great for my migraines! I haveinsurance so I don't know how much it costs, but I do know that it recently started being made in generic form so it should be available to ayou at a generic price. You can check to see it m ay even be one of the $4 meds somewhere.
  9. I am there are a few kids aat all the schools with it by now. The doctors offices are full of it from what I hear. I don't want to name schools because I don't want people keeping their kids hime because they are scared. REALLY the doctors told both my friends it is no worse now than the regular seasonal flu.
  10. It is DEFINITELY here in Paulding I have 2 friends who have children with H1N1. Doctor confirmed it. It doesn't seem to be anything more to worry about than the regular seasonal flu. It sucks, they are certainly sick and if you have a compromised immune system it is something to worry about. (as is any flu) It is not anything to panic over though. Just be prepared; have plenty of Tylenol or Motrin and other meds on hand to treat the symptoms so that you can feel better as you recover. The number one thing to remember is IF YOU OR YOUR KIDS GET SICK...STAY HOME AND DON'T SPREAD THE GERMS!
  11. He sure did and I am sure he suffered. My brother only lived 3 months from the time he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. It is an awful way to go and I am glad he is no longer suffering.
  12. I will admit that when I was younger (quite a while ago ) I spent a lot of time not actually trying to "keep up" with the Jones' but being quite jealous of them. I knew that at that time there was no way that we could keep up with them. We had 2 small kids, I was a SAHM and it took everything we had to keep ourselves going. But I certainly did want what others had. As I have grown older I have realized what people have to sacrifice to have those things. Granted some people seem to have everything handed to them, but very few really get it that way. Most folks that I know who have "Th
  13. I keep seeing this question and everyone keeps recommending Hart TV. I am looking for someone who will work on a LCD TV. Does anyone know if Hart does that?
  14. He was my son's teacher 2 years ago and he was a very nice, kind man who left us way to young. It was quite a shock to the faculty, staff and students of SPHS. He was very loved and will be missed.
  15. DARN...I was hoping someone would say it was really good. I have been so excited for it to get finished but I have not tried it yet.
  16. I know that all the schools were gave the students an optional place to go such as the Media Center. I question the thinking of your child's teacher when she gave them the option of turning their chairs. Honestly, there were many meetings in ALL of the schools about how to handle the speech and the children who chose not to watch. I can't believe that she did not know where to send the children.
  17. I believe the numbers are actually 1 in 150 and rising with the numbers being much higher statistically in boys.
  18. I am so sorry that you are going through this. I believe that you are right and a person is not given more than they are stron enough to handle. However, be sure that while you are taking care of your mother, brother, sister and the rest of your family you take time to take care of yourself. You need it and you deserve it as well. Prayers for you.
  19. My hubby is an engineer on the C130. It is a great plane. There should always be a need for a good durable cargo plane! He used to be on the F22's but he moved about a year ago. Lockheed has been good to us. Good luck to all who apply.
  20. I watched the video and I believe that it should be each person's individual choice to get or not get the flu vaccine. I DO hope that everyone will research the vaccine and not take what they hear from others as the gospel. I know that being forced to take something that you feel may be harmful to you or your children does not sound like something that should happen in America, but it does, everyday. One of the deciding factors in my husband's decision to leave the Air Force was that if he reenlisted he would have been forced to take the Anthrax vaccine, which had already caused one of his
  21. That is great for your son. It is always good to hear when something seems to help one of our children.
