  1. I would have done the same, only I would have called the police to watch him drive away in his car after a few beers.
  2. She can apply for CAPS which is daycare assistance assuming that she falls under the income guidelines. She can also apply for food stamps if she's under the income guidelines. If she isn't yet recieving income from child support her regular income may be low enough to get on both of those programs. CAPS however is sometimes out of money even if you do qualify, but she can look up both of those on line. I'm not a fan of social programs, but they are meant to be a safety net for hard times, and in this instance hopefully this is temporary and she will get child support and not have to be o
  3. The acceptable terms are bajingo, whoey, who-ha, or lady bits
  4. Milford High School in Ohio Class of 1997
  5. just starting to rain a little here but its been windy all day
  6. I paid 3.39 in Eufaula alabama on Saturday. I'm curious to see what has prices do down here closer to the coast (we're now 1.5 hours from the coast). Of course now I have to drive 15 minutes just to get to a gas station I guess my days of running on empty to find cheap gas are over.
  7. Back in the early 90's when I was around 13-14 I was taking home $2 an hour for watching 2 under the age of 3. They eventually bumped me up to $5. I have no idea the going rate now, we just leave our with grandma the few times we go out, and she's free You want me to ask if she'll watch yours for free too?
  8. Why am I not surprised that they are marijuana pipes in cars from a VW dealer.
  9. Yes but he has enough money to make his have the faint aroma of roses.
  10. Sadly I'm missing the NJ and NY series while we're in the process of moving. I'll have to catch up. My new favorite is Carole. I do not like Luanne, and I don't like Heather on NY. I love Heather on the OC. I like Kim last season on Atlanta, but before that she was kind of trashy and gaudy. She seems a little more grounded now. I like Tamara and Gretchen and I think Vicki is loony, but I love her daughter.
  11. I don't think she's talking about Lynn Hubbard.
  12. I believe she lives in Cobb near the walmart on 120. But I cony know this first hand.
  13. Birmingham has some of the biggest food snobs in the country. They will not hesitate to tell you how great Frank Stit's eateries are. There's a place in Mountain Brook that I love, Daniel George. If you go over to play golf again try Ballantrea in Pelham. My inlaws have a house over that way, it's a beautiful course.
  14. Is the railroad tunnel on the Silver Comet in Paulding, that's pretty cool. There are a lot of areas along the trail that are scenic. We've walked the entire Paulding County section, and most of it's quiet and nice. Honestly the pond at the Hiram park is pretty too.
  15. We are outta here. My mom still lives in Paulding, and we care about it because we will be coming back here to visit and she owns a home here, but I have no ties to Georgia other than that. I moved to this area because of work originally back in 2001.
  16. I really hope you realize that the government supporting individuals is not the answer to a successful country. There should be social programs that act as a safety net, but too many use them as a hammock and I've see it first hand. Did you know you can get a months worth of food stamps just for submitting the application? Of course it's only about $135, but if you multiply that by how many people apply that's a huge waste.
  17. Where can i vote early? We will be leaving tomorrow to start our move out of state
  18. There was a couple in Australia or new zealand that did just that when the wife was told she had a year to live. When they went for a check up she was told is was a misdiagnosis.
  19. One thing I do that helps me through the difficult times (and ive had my fair share of difficult), is to write down all the things I am thankful for. It starts out basic. I'm thankful for having a place to live. I'm thankful my girls are healthy, etc. After ive listed it all(and sometimes that list is small) I write down what I want to change in my life (I do it in the form of prayers because I believe in God). Slowly, over time he prayer list gets shorter and the thankful list gets longer. And before I know it life is ok again. It wont stay that way but that's how I cope.
  20. Apparently it's a marketing tactic for The Expendables II
  21. Right now I'm in specialized field so if I was looking for a job I would network with past co workers or firms ive worked with. When looking in the past I have found jobs through monster or career builder, but I think now they're mostly full of recruiters who need to fill their day. It I was looking now I would probably uses monster, career builder, linkedin, look in the local paper, and put it out on social media that I was looking.
  22. Ive always dealt with generalized anxiety with certain situations. Driving over bridges, being in crowds, being in new places, but the only time I experience panic attacks is when I'm alone at night. When I was married to my ex husband he worked in India for two months. I had never lived on my own, I went from home to college roommate to married. The first time it happened I was certain I was having a heart attack. I was so convinced that if I fell asleep I was goon to die. After repeating this a couple days I went to the doc and he said it was panic attacks and prescribed celexa for generaliz
  23. I went to a pediatrician until I was 17, and I went to a pediatric dentist until I was 21.
