  1. The ones I've been dealing with aren't just buying at auction. They are buying before pre-foreclosure. I suppose they are the people with the signs out that say we pay cash for your house. They then bundle the houses into portfolios to sell once they're rented.
  2. But the story I heard on the news yesterday -sorry I have no link- said that what is in non-organic, is not shown to be harmful, which is why the Organic is no better for you. Keep paying more for your food, no one is stopping you.
  3. I've met LPPT, although I don't know if she knows that she knows who I am. I have also met someone that Caped Crusader knows who was an angel to me. I've probably met some others of you and just don't know it.
  4. In the case of your daughter the house was still up there because it wasn't "Sold" it was just under contract, and most listings will put or should put that they house is under contract, and in that case they may take offers in case the first contract doesn't go through. I think there are rules about how long a listing can stay on the MLS (It's been a while since I got my GA real estate license and I haven't used it much). Either way, they are only as good as the people who add and subtract information from them.
  5. That's only in Paulding County, in Cobb county their crosswalk signal posts rest easy knowing that the crazy drivers have many pedestrian targets, which as we all know, are worth more points.
  6. Like so many liberal "causes" there is no science or fact behind claims.
  7. Just from memory, in the last year, the crosswalk signals at 278 and 120 (all 4) have been runt over. Also 278 and whatever that road is into the Dallas Kroger where Ruby Tuesday is, that one was down at least once. The crosswalk sign by Target at least once, and the one coming out on to 278 from O'Charleys was also down once. I THINK the one at Home Depot and 278 was also down, but I can't swear to it. And I have a picture of the one down at 278 and 120 on my phone, but I don't know how to post the pic.
  8. I only use Tulia and Zillow when I'm looking for info on sale prices or what around the area I'm looking for. They were helpful when we were looking for a rental house down here in South Alabama. Although there seems to be a lot of scamming about rental properties in this area on Craigslist, but I'm sure that's not just this area. Out of the dozen or so houses listed in a given time frame, maybe 2 were actual properties for rent. We were lucky to find the house we found.
  9. If we got rid of public transit there would be no problem. I hated getting stuck behind the Cobb buses on my way to and from work. Come on now, most of those on CCT aren't American. I kid, I kid.
  10. Here is what is happening in some cases. There are companies out there that are buying houses all over Atlanta, but Paulding is one of their markets. They are buying these homes, fixing minor things, getting renters in the houses, and then marketing these houses as a portfolio for rental incomes. We're actually working with a company right now that is doing this. If it puts butts in the houses I think it's a good thing. A lot of people out there can rent but can't buy because of the economic times. I don't know if it's good or bad. I personally rent my house, and it's because we just moved to
  11. Another thing on the food stamps. It is likely that even if she does not qualify that they will send her an EBT card with money on it for a month. If she then does not qualify they just won't put more money on it. Weird loophole.
  12. The last time my knee went "out" was just as we were walking to the beach on our last vacation to the gulf coast. Spent the next 4 day hobbling around and couldn't go down to the water since we were staying in Seagrove Beach and there's a lot of stairs down to the water. The condo pool was lovely though.
  13. I just heard they asked for clarification on what "unanimous" meant. I didn't know Bill Clinton was on the jury.
  14. We enjoyed taking our daughter there. I always wondered how they afforded to stay open when they were only charging $3 for entry. It was usually the best $3 we spent on our kid. It would get all her energy out and we could relax when we got home.
  15. About the same, however, up until about 3 weeks ago we were WAY worse, and had been for about a year.
  16. I would vote for him over Obama every day of the weekand twiced on Sunday. At least when the US was bending over under Bush it was to take it from other Americans. Obama is embarassd by all that America has stood for over the years.
  17. I cant argue with crazy. If you don't think taking out Saddam Hussein was a good thing there is no hope. Just keep drinking the koolaid.
  18. The biggest issue in the economy, at least one of the worst, was easing lending practices in order to increase home ownership, that is a Clinton dibacle. No president is perfect, but none since Carter hve been this awful
  19. In that situation I always hope that its someone that just couldn't afford to have to pay for the damage, and they had to either leave, or risk not being able to feed their kids to pay for the damage caused. At least that's what I tell myself every time I see the dent in the back of my explorer from where a guy rear ended me on 65 South in Birmingham. Jerk came to my window, apologized, said he would pull over to the side of the road behind me and wait for the cops. Then as we were moving our cars off the road he kept going. If that ever happens again I'm parking my happy ass in the middl
  20. Living in a place prone to tornados and earthquakes is a little different than living in a flood prone area. With "MOST" floods you get notice that the water is rising. I cannot figure out why people in flood areas just flat out ignore evacuation notices. Isn't it better to leave and be wrong than stay and put not only your life at risk, but others that may come to save your butt.
  21. I use google calendar for personal and work. They both get kept on one visible calendar for me, but my co-workers don't see my personal one if that makes sense. I can also update my google calendar from my computer, my iphone, and my kindle. So no mater what device I'm using I can look at my to dos.
  22. 96% with Romney. The only thing I side with Obama on is foreign policy apparently
  23. I haven't listened to a music radio station in probably 10 years.
