She gave my husband the evil eye a few years back when we were walking into Philly Connection, I couldn't hear what she was saying, but she looked like she was dog cussing him and staring him down. So maybe she is a good judge of character. I kid.

All you have to do is hold down the power button for 10 seconds or so to cause it to do a hard reset and then plug it in. Mine has done it a couple times.

I can't believe I agree with you. Just curious, I wonder if this man also goes around emailing and coming up to every fat person he sees about how they are a bad example.

I had heard from a neighbor that she had a son that died in a car accident, they didn't mention where. So that's all I've got.

It may not have been bullying but he is an ass. We aren't allowed to judge people by the color of their skin, or by their age, gender, or sexual preference. So why should we be allowed to ASSUME that just because someone is overweight that they are somehow less of a person, and not a good role model. I'd say that she's employed, married, and a mother makes her one hell of a role model for young girls. Maybe it's nice for a young girl who isn't a size zero to see that someone like her can be successful. Because if you listen to the media all fat people are lazy slugs who sit on their butts all

Head "N" In Charge. From the movie Lean on Me. I use a variation and say I'm the HBIC, Head "B" In Charge.

I gave it up both times I was pregnant. I usually drink 3 caffeinated beverages a day. I never noticed any symptoms.

What about HNIC?

I didn't mean that to sound judgmental. I know it's hard to stop smoking. I never took it up, but my husband smoked. He finally quit a couple months before our youngest was born. I think what finally his him was when our 15 month old walked out on our back porch and picked up a butt that he had forgotten to throw away and put it to her mouth like she had seen him do. I have my own issues. I have horrible eating habits that I hope not to pass on to my kids.

Hard to tell them to not do something that they see you doing, even if they are under age.

I have 2 girls that are 17 months apart. Thankfully the oldest is 2. I DO NOT look forward to the teen years.

Toddler Pageants: Just Curious About Costs ...
kwood replied to ButterflyLion's topic in RECENT TOPICS
So for one National pagent you've put in around $4,500.00? And I'm assuming you do more than one pagent a year? How much money would she have at 18 if you just invested that in a college fund? I guess I'm just jealous, if I had $5,000 extra to spend on my kid I wouldn't be spending it on that. Just curious, what do you and your husband do to have so much extra income? I need a career change. -
So we're still taking on water, just not as fast....boats still sinking.

We're now moving on to do to the fat people what has been done to smokers. Personally I don't like the ads, but I agree that we need to teach our children better. Being an overweight mom with 2 daughters I am hyper sensitive to what they eat. I limit sugar. They get milk or water, or very watered down juice, no soda (both grandmas will sneak it to my oldest, but she doesn't get it from me). I try to make the best food choices for them that I can, but I know I have to work on what I'm eating. I hope I can have that fixed by the time they're more impressionable.

When did the bookstore close? -
EBT isn't supposed to be used to cover certain purchases like beer and cigs correct? So my assumption was that they were making her pay cash for items not covered and she pitched a fit.

I had the Baby Eistein jumper for my oldest (got it second hand) she used it maybe a dozen times, it was big and bulky and wouldn't fit through the door without the leg supports coming off. I haven't even pulled it out for my younger one yet. They both used exersaucer type play centers in daycare and I liked those much better, but we never got one.

Correct, you have to physically move forward and back. It just depends what you're doing. I take family pictures of my daughters 23 months and 6 months, I prefer the kit lens because it allows me to zoom without having to actually get closer or further from them. It also allows me to take some decent portrait type pictures of my kids too. So I would say as a casual user start with one of the zoomables, and then go to one that doesn't zoom when you're ready. But that's just my personal opinion.

I have a Nikon D5000, but it was out of production when I bought it back in April of 2011. I really like it though since I'm not an expert. I just have the kit lens that comes with it, and I think while you're learning that is the best (cheapest) option, I have some friends that just had to have the 50mm lens right of the bat, but most of them put money into a camera and lens, and then don't have time to take many pictures.

When my oldest was first on Wellcare the took it at all the Wellstars, but they no longer do. We had to drive to Villa Rica to go to find a doctor that accepted it. And we used CHOA specialists. We were very lucky to have that, thankfully there was nothing seriously wrong with our youngest. She had a head misshape, but at almost 6 months it's corrected itself. With her heart she has a Supravalvar pulmonary stenosis, but it's a mild case. It was very reassuring to have healthcare coverage for the kids when we couldn't provide it. Luckily my husband now has a job with insurance.

That is just FLAT OUT WRONG. My kids were both on Wellcare. My daughters both went to well and sick visits. My youngest daughter also needed to be see by a pediatric cardiologist and a pediatric neurosurgeon. I paid $0 out of pocket for any medical treatment that either one of them received. HOWEVER, that is where I find fault in Medicaid. My kids qualified while my husband was out of work, we weren't POOR, but my job didn't offer insurance, and we couldn't afford medical coverage. However, we could have paid a co-pay or something towards their medical care, and would have done it gladly. Mayb

I don't own heels. I only wear makeup for special occasions. Same with perfume. I pretty much live in flip flops tee shirts and shorts or jeans. The perks of working from home.

Are they widening Cleburne at all, will there be multiple left turn lanes off 278? I guess it doesn't matter we'll only use it when we come back to visit my mom

I believe that the shops in Olde Hiram are having a something on October 13th.

Personally I hate the new road because I used to commute from Smyrna to the west side of Hiram on Bill Carruth daily, and I used to use those back roads to avoid 278. Now the construction has rerouted me and messed it all up. But it's moot since I no longer live there or make the commute. I haven't really paid much attention. I thought the road was going to extend to 278, are we now saying that you actually have to left turn on to Cleburne to get on it?
