I think so too, and I'm really paranoid about old food. Smell it first, just to be sure.

This topic for that hard to find item for Christmas
jennilyn77 replied to Lady Raider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I was 13 when I got my first piece of real jewelry for Christmas. It was a gold ring with my initial on it. I loved it. I think that's a good idea. -
I feel more thankful this year than I ever have in my life. I'm thankful for that! Feelip, you make me laugh and you irritate me at times. Just when I think I don't like you, I start liking you again. It's confusing . Glad to hear things are going well for you and your wife.

Never Think That A Person, With A Lack Of Empathy,
jennilyn77 replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I have an abundance of empathy. It's a gift and a curse. I no longer allow others problems to become my own though. I learned that the hard way. -
I see the stand your ground poster boy has been arrested.

TMZ reported that he is accused of assaulting his pregnant girlfriend. Which would be a felony. True or not, the guy is a freaking moron. -
Is there a Pcom clique? A very good friend of mine was followed almost all the way home by an irate driver just a week or so ago. Instead of going home, she stopped at a grocery store and called the cops. He stopped following her at that point. The cops put out out a bolo but didn't find him. The dummy was driving a company vehicle, she was smart enough to get the number and called the next day. The company vehicles have GPS, and they confirmed that that was not the drivers usual route home. Apparently, this wasn't the first time that this guy has done such a thing. They fired him.

The last time I went grocery shopping on a Sunday was the last time I went grocery shopping on a Sunday. Never again.

Referring to your last paragraph, I feel the exact same way about people who watch Fox news. I used to be one of those people. Unless the Republicans can come up with someone better than Chris Christie, we're going to end up with another democrat in the White House. Republicans need to stop pandering to the religious and the far right if they ever want to hold office again. The right is so pissed off at Obama, yet they have yet to offer up a decent candidate. Personally, I think it sucks the media picks our candidates and that we only have 2 parties with any real chance at winning.

Yuck. People are dumb.

So should we look the other way when someone is clearly taking advantage of the system? I was on Medicaid at one time in my life. I took a hell of a beating on here for admitting that a while ago. Only one person came to my defense. Thanks mrnn. Yes, I know a guy on Medicaid, he his wife and kids. They just bought a new 4-wheeler. His kids get free healthcare. Meanwhile, my husband and I were considering moving out if state because our insurance dosen't cover autism related therapies for my son. If we had Medicaid, we wouldn't have to worry about that, but we choose to play by the rules and pu

I had to go to the Cumberland mall area yesterday evening. It took me 2 hours to get home. As far as I know, all of the traffic yesterday evening was due to the fatality crash on 75 N.

I feel that way about my husband too. He took on the role of a father at the young age of 21 to my baby girl. He didn't have to. He's provided for her financially and emotionally for 14 years. He built a successful landscape company from the ground up by himself that has survived 13 years, through 9/11 and the recession, and will be expanding in 2014. He works 6 days a week and often lets me sleep in on sundays because he knows how much I love sleep. He brings me flowers for no reason and has been very supportive of me in the past year which has been a rough one, emotionally, for both of us. I -

On the news last night they said "a portion" of it will be paid for by the taxpayers. -
http://www.mrshappyhomemaker.com/2012/09/best-ever-beef-stew/ I'm going to be trying ^that recipe soon. It says crockpot but I see no reason why it couldn't be done on the stove.

Picture it, Election Day, 2004. While having the sceptic tank pumped in the back yard, my husband happens upon what appears to be rotten wood on the side of our back deck. Of course it needs to be immediately removed, so he does. He removes it, along with the entire back deck. I can only imagine that as he tore it away, piece by piece, that he had a grand plan for rebuilding it, it was gonna be awesome! Right? We still don't have a back deck. In his defense, my husband is a very busy and hard working man. I know there is no time or money for that right now. However, I still stand by -

I know not everyone votes for the letter by a persons name, but many do. On both sides. I'm a person voter, not party.

That's sad. I can't imagine not being thrilled for my child if they met a former president. Especially if they were excited about it. I let my kids come to their own political conclusions.
