Clearly people don't vote for the candidate, only the letter next to their name. Which is part of the reason this country is such a mess. It's so much easier to be a sheep than to inform yourself about each individual candidate. Am I right? No way will a democrat win the governors office in this good ole'fashioned state of Georgia. Yee HAW!

Why Must They Make a TV Movie About EVERYTHING?
jennilyn77 replied to Bizmo's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I've been known to watch a lifetime movie or two based on tragedy in the past. The last one I remember watching was the Drew Peterson story. I saw the teaser on who would play the victims in this movie, I rolled my eyes. Seriously? Like we should be biting our nails to find out which actresses will play these poor women in the upcoming movie. It's ridiculous. No, I won't be watching. I can't stand to watch people in fear and suffering. -
That was my guess.

Alcohol ruins lives at a much higher and faster rate than marijuana. It has never made sense to me that alcohol is legal and a plant is not. I can only imagine how different my life would have been if my dad were a pothead instead of an alcoholic. How many people die from alcohol abuse daily? How many die from marijuana use? -
I agree with you that we don't know the facts and stories like this do get spun. I recently watched part of a documentary about the woman who sued McDonalds because the coffee she spilled was too hot. I encourage everyone to watch it. But be warned, it has some very graphic pictures. It will definitely make you think twice before you believe what the media is telling you. Here is a link to the story and video. http://eater.com/archives/2013/10/22/watch-the-true-story-of-the-mcdonalds-hot-coffee-lawsuit.php As far as the law suit goes, I can't bring myself to make a judgement about the acti

My grandmother loved Judge Judy. They had a lot in common, I think. The same spunky, tell it like it is attitude. The first time my grandmother met my husband (then boyfriend) she noticed right away that he had a tongue ring and slapped him in the face. My husband and I still laugh about it 15 years later. I miss that woman.

I missed that, thanks. So it's basically within walking distance of my house. Nice. Thanks for the heads up, OP. Skerry indeed.

If anyone wants to send me a PM telling me exactly where this place is, I would like that very much. I have smelled odd, chemically smells where I live, but it's usually during the day. I often wondered if someone nearby was making meth or something. Now I'm wondering if that's what I've been smelling all this time.

It's pure evil.

I've been thinking about you constantly since I read your FB post yesterday. I love you and your attitude. I'm sending a million positive thoughts your way. If you need anything at all don't hesitate to ask. It would be a great excuse to finally meet one of my favorite people that I've never actually met.

It's often not obvious when a child has special needs. Not to split hairs or anything. I think that is part of the point of this thread. By looking at my son, you would never know he has special needs.

My dad hates the whole state of West Virginia because he got a speeding ticket back in the 70's while driving through that he feels he didn't deserve. -
Poor ladybugs. They just want to be warm! I hope we have a cold winter, kill some of the bugs. They've been terrible the past few years.

I sing a lot around the house like my mom used to when I was a kid. Also, while driving I find myself resting my right hand on my left shoulder like she does. ETA- reverse that, it's the left hand on the right shoulder. -
10 years? This is so disturbing. The punishment should be lifelong, like his scars will be. This makes me terribly angry. I don't even know what else to say.

I haven't seen it but I watched a preview. That was enough for me. They won't get a penny from me either. I also will never go to a Barnum & Bailey circus.

I discovered that today. It's the gift that keeps on giving.

I can empathize. Your feelings are normal. Try not to beat yourself up, there's no way you could have known. The good news is, you know now and you can help her get the treatment she needs. The fact that it was caught so early is good. And thanks for the PSA, it's an important one.

Rumor of Extra Cops and Roadblocks This Weekend

Thank you, Dana. That means a lot and even more so coming from you. Treat others how you would like to be treated, basically. No reason to be rude or have an attitude with a person simply because they don't share the same opinions, beliefs or hometown as you. And you know I always have your back, Dana. I have a black belt, ya know.
