When you need to soften butter in a hurry, grate it with a cheese grater. Freeze an onion for a few minutes before chopping it to reduce tears. Cook bacon in the oven. Place bacon slices on a cookie sheet and put them in a cold oven. Set the oven to 400° and cook for 10 minutes. Flip the bacon and cook for 10 more minutes. Perfect bacon.

Same here. I wasn't familiar with him other than the fact that he was super hot. He seemed to be a pretty good guy from all that I've read. RIP

I wasn't directing that to anyone here. More to the Dr.'s that lied to a desperate mother because of their belief that her son would never be "normal". Normal ain't always so great IMO.

Just because a child has mental and/or physical delay doesn't mean they don't have just as much to offer the world, if not more, than a "typical" child. This was hard for me to read and I should probably just bow out now.

I agree. This might be her rock bottom. You may have changed her life for the better, OP. Your call may have very well saved some lives, including hers. And try not to beat yourself up too much. Next time, if there is a next time, you'll know to see if she's hot before you start making calls.

My grandmother had her body donated to science. There was a memorial service a year later for all the family members whos loved ones did the same thing. It was really nice. The PhD students who had worked with (learned from) our loved ones got up and spoke, some of them even shed a tear. I always thought it was a little weird that my grandmother wanted to do that, but I get it now. She did it to help others. A little off topic of funeral processions but on-topic with after life options.

Agreed. I like them both. I know, shocker. Honestly though, I don't care about a person's politics. If they make me laugh, entertain me, are nice to me, are a good rational person, a productive human, it's all good. Joy very much reminds me of my grandmother. Same smart, sassy mouth, sense of humor, accent. Given a choice, I'd much rather hang with Whoopie and Joy. I'm sure Michelle Malkin has her strong points too. Other than being hot. My daughters father left me for another woman when I was pregnant. We had been together 5 years prior. I hated her with every fiber of my being. I was devastated. A year or so After my daughter was born, I turned off the hate and saw how much this girl cared about my dd, she loved my daughter and my daughter loved her. Eventually, I let it go and we became friends. I finally realized that she actually did me a huge favor. He was not the man I was meant to be with. I deserved better and I got it. Life is short, try to let it go. Easier said than done, I know. They probably deserve each other.
