When I see parents of kids acting out in public, I just thank my lucky stars it's not me. Often times, I will offer a smile of reassurance. I don't know what issues their child may or may not have. It's certainly not my place to judge. I Never thought I would be a parent of a child that melts down in public, but I am. My child isnt giving me a hard time, he's having a hard time. There's a big difference. Be careful who you offer advice to, you don't know what that mother may or may not deal with on a daily basis through no fault of her own or her child's. You might be annoyed, but I promise y

That's not even funny. How dare you raise our hopes like that! I called the central office, there will be no Freds in paulding anytime soon, again. We shall overcome.

I'm even more awesome now. (Hard to believe, I know.) I've learned that there's always more to the story and to choose my words wisely.

Acceptance. The more people come out, the more acceptance there will be. If it can prevent even one young gay person from taking their own life because they feel more validated as a human, then so be it. I don't really think the announcements are hurting anyone, but they might be helping someone. That's what I think about it.

Wow, that's awesome.

I agree. Even if I had a vacation planned, I would agree. How many full weeks have they attended since Christmas break? 2? It seems like it. At this point I'm genuinely concerned about my kids education. All of the intterruptions aren't good.

Anyone tried the tart that pops peanut butter

I rushed to Publix Monday morning to buy chorizo, various cheeses and heavy cream. I've made nothing but unhealthy dips and meals since, plus a cobbler. I'm out of mayo now. But at least we still have power. -
It's snowing in New Hope.

I bought valentines that have tattoos for my sons class, but he doesn't go to school on Fridays. We used them all today. Lightning McQueen looks pretty good on my ankle, if I do say so myself. -

I haven't clicked the link because denial is comfy. I feel like my kids haven't completed a week of school since Christmas. Serenity now! I'm moving to Colorado. -

We had Captain D's. I'm sick and lazy. -
Dallas Tire is awesome. We will never go anywhere else for tires. For mechanics, we like Donnies. He's a good guy.

I like to get the seafood ooh La La served over the grits. It's not listed on the menu as an option, you have to ask for it. Crap, I'm hungry!

I love you. Aspergers IS part if the autism spectrum. For every delay my son has, he has a strength. I expect this is true with many people who have special needs. My life would be soooo much less without a person like him in it. If someone said to me you can go back three years and choose to have a "normal" child or the child you have now, I wouldn't hesitate for a second, I would choose my boy just the way he is. Might he have struggles in the future? Of course he will. But who doesn't? Is that not what makes us stronger? Also, I don't consider autism to be devastating, it's not a traged -

Blah. I'm so desperate for my kids to have a full week of school! -
Once an addict, always an addict. my dad is a recovering alcoholic, but he is still an alcoholic. He makes a daily decision not to drink. He goes to AA meetings every day of his life and has for many years. Nobody will probably ever know what caused him to relapse or to try it in the first place. If you don't understand addiction, then I say good. Consider yourself lucky.

I didn't know either. I also didn't realize he was only 46, I thought he was older. It's a big loss, he was a great actor. I read that the release of the 3rd one won't be affected. I have no clue what they'll do for the 4th.

That's a good idea. I'm definitely making a Super Bowl turkey next year. We're having burgers and chips. I also made Trisha Yearwoods Charleston cheese dip, for an appetizer.

The 4 wheel drive in my Nissan Murano saved me. I'm not a redneck so I had to call my husband and ask him how to use it. I just know that I will never own a vehicle without it again.
-
Yep. Same here. For once I'm cool with the rednecks racing up and down my road on 4 wheelers. I was even cool with the fireworks they set off last night. I'm assuming they were celebratory "we survived snowpocalypse" fireworks. I'm cool with that. Also, if it snows again....no.
