Well, if you believe in good, you must believe in bad, right? I mean, just because they believe in Voodoo, doesnt mean to me that they have turned their back on their God. Now, if they worshipped evil as if it was good, then yes, I would tend to believe they have turned their back. I guess I just dont get it. I will admit, however, that when I first heard about it, and saw the devastation, I thought about the saying that He never gives you more than you can handle. This is more, to me. I would tend to think more that the higher power of evil brought this on, long before I believed God did

I dont know anything about Voudon. So, they dont believe in any higher power of good? They pray to protect them from what they fear, but who do they believe is going to help them? Have they really turned away from a great higher power? Setting aside Christian beliefs...but looking at just a higher power of goodness. They dont have one? As far as natural disasters...it is simply a natural disaster in my opinion. Anyone who says differently I'm calling BS for the most part. I'm pretty sure New Orleans hadnt turned their back on God.

Some of the most horrible things happen to the best people, on an individual level. It does not mean that they asked for it, or deserved it. To question this great disaster of the homeland to many already suffering people is human nature. Why such devastation, why them? But to BLAME a natural disaster on them personally is just ridiculous. They live where they are prone to earthquakes...probably many not by choice. Prayers said for the injured to be rescued, and for some sort of stabilization for them as soon as possible.

One of our truck drivers fueled up in Miami. He went in, and the cashier told him that in order to turn the pump on, he had to leave the AMEX and his drivers license. This driver never thought of what this person was trying to do. The thief ended up purchasing a bunch of gourmet food, put the drivers name and address as the "bill to", and put his own address as the "ship to". The police in Miami were called, but did nothing because we are in Georgia, and the purchase was online. We knew where this man worked and lived, and still they did nothing. Not to mention liver problems from taking meds your entire life. But, that is an okay risk because the drug companies are making money. If a tanning bed company would jump on the bandwagon and dish out some cash, they may get the doctors endorsement as well. You pretty much said what I meant!!

I understand about not getting in one EVERY day. I have not tanned in years. I am also in pain every single day. If it would improve my quality of life by 80%, I may give it a try. I would rather live 20 more years happy than 25 years miserable. Does that make any sense? It is a personal decision, but I dont think it should be advertised as being "healthy". That is a little misleading. It should be advertised as having benefits for some things, while still creating hazards with others.

I would be wary of anyone that may be less than professional. If they are posting on CL for extras, they probably arent legit. It reminds me of the story of a bunch of people that thought they were being taped for a reality show. Turns out they weren't. I dont recall all of the story, but I think they were treated poorly in the process. CL can be good sometimes, but I wouldnt dare for something like this.
