Other than health and family-- I am thankful that I finally gained financial stability after hastily moving halfway across the country 3 1/2 years ago. My relationship with my boyfriend of 6 years has been better than ever. His son graduated from National Guard Youth Challenge with his GED. It was a tough road sometimes, but he came a long way in a short amount of time. He is now on his way to Job Corp. Needless to say, it has been a pretty good year. Goals for the year to come--continue with financial stability, and accumulate some savings. Remodel the house--flooring, paint. Go

I heated up some brussel sprouts at work last week, and everyone that walked in said "Ewwwww, what smells like a** in here?!" I love greens, but I am a Yankee, and havnt gotten into the New Years food traditions yet.

I know, isnt it great? All those years of my Mom telling me what happens "Once in a blue moon" are finally happening!!! I'm just hanging out at home, waiting to see what happens....

Thats how I feel. I've spent NYE with my boys for a few years now and its so much better. In the past we've made good munchies and hung out together. Nothing better than bringing in the new year with the ones you love! I'm happy its a Thursday night!

You may be okay, because you claimed 0 all year, then are claiming 1 on your taxes. The people that claim 1 all year, then the same on their taxes are probably going to be in trouble. You may be covered because you already overcompensated by claiming zero.

I'm just looking forward to 3 days off in a row, without having ANYTHING to do!! Rest and relaxation. I dont really drink anymore, so going to bars isnt much fun. Plus, I really dont like being on the roads. Back in the day--I would go out ANY night except New Years Eve. I'm actually considering painting the guest bathroom. I heard the same thing, unfortunately, it is too late for her to change her 2009 figures. Many people may want to take another look at their deductions for the upcoming year.

I've never used their website calculator, but it shouldnt add a child if you havnt entered one in. Does it ask you how many dependents other than yourself? The "1" should mean just you. Are you filing just a basic 1040 EZ? If so, the actual form should be on the IRS website. Its very easy to fill out if you have no children, credits, or deductions.

I had a Saturn about 5 years ago. I think it was a '96, two door. I loved it! I had it for a couple of years and never had anything wrong with it. I bought it because my '98 Blazer was junk, and needed work ALL the time! The Saturn was my "spare" car, which I drove every day.

I wish I had a good answer for you! My job requires me to be on the phone a lot, and it is always horrible when I have a scratchy throat..especially when talking to customers. The worst is when I cant stop coughing! The best thing I know to do is have warm drinks..tea and honey, hot cocoa, or coffee. I hope you feel better soon!

Congratulations to you and your family!! One day, it will be evident that she is watching over the baby. My childrens Gram passed 11 years ago when my first son was 2 weeks old. My boys were in an accident with their dad (her son) a couple months ago. It is amazing that nobody was hurt, and I feel confident that we can thank Gramma Phyllis for that!! I bet you are enjoying that little bundle of joy!!
