  1. Just my opinion but it sounds like you need to let the insurance companies and the police handle this before YOU find yourself charged with a crime. If it were me you had called, the next call from you would result in civil charges against you and possibly a criminal complaint. Not only that, but you could possibly be hurting your case against her. Just sayin'
  2. We had that problem. It was a line problem. Somehow the connection had corroded and we got lots of static or the phone would disconnect. Phone company DID fit it and for free as it was not inside the house.
  3. What does your fiance say? Would he find it insulting? Who gives a rat's furry behind what anyone else thinks. It's YOU AND HIM who matter.
  4. If you don't want an engagement ring, don't get an engagement ring. There, problem solved.
  5. My new 4G phone seems to be a little better than the 3G was. Then again, coverage has always seemed to be better in my dining room than the kitchen. When I had my first T-Mobile phone I could switch sides of the sofa and either have 4 bars or none. THAT was frustrating! When we had our 25 acre farm out in southern Douglas County we had zero cell coverage in parts of the acreage and 4 bars in others. We had a little road that went from the road down through the woods to the creek. At the creek we had coverage, at the gate (on top of the hill) we had coverage. The rest of the way we h
  6. We talk about dropping the land line and going wireless only. We talk about it often. Every time my husband brings it up I hand him my cell phone and say "how many bars do you see?" When he says "none", I just look at him and say "there you go". We live in an unusual location. Not way out in the woods or anything. Just 1/2 mile off 278. There are three cell towers within 2 miles of our house, one of which we can see the lights at night in the winter. Unfortunately, our house is lower than the towers, with hills between us and the towers. We just simply don't get good coverage her
  7. I don't think that we really give a lot of thought of what would happen to our photo memories in times of disaster, such as hurricanes, tornadoes or fires. Often those photos may be of long-gone relatives with whom we had a special bond. One of my most priced possessions is a photo of my paternal grandmother with all of her children. A photo taken just months before my dad's twin brother passed away. It was the last photo taken of all of them. I would really hate to lose that picture. It means so much to me. I would love to have all of the really special photos put on a disc that I can
  8. I saw a sign at Northwest Exterminating that they are a Toys for Tots drop off site. They are on Merchants Drive, near where Hardee St/Main St forks to the left, as you're going toward the post office in Dallas from the area of Ingles.
  9. They have great ways of disguising that previously opened box. They will re-tape them. I bought an exercise bike from Walmart. Box appeared to be unopened. I got it home and when I opened it I realized that things weren't in the box where they should be. NO assembly instructions at all, parts were missing. Whoever repackaged it did a pretty good job putting things back in the right place but they didn't bother to put the screws and accessories back in the box, not to mention they forgot to put the assembly instructions back in there. Absolutely NO WAY to determine it had been opene
  10. I just want my bewbie hug from the birthday girl. Love you Laurie!! Hope it's happy. I'll tell you again tomorrow. That's 'cause we're both at the age when we forget what we did so we might repeat ourselves.
  11. I love the farting hippo!! And Duckie.
  12. Trying to get in the Christmas spirit because it's been a rough week around here. This song always puts me in the spirit of the season.
  13. If they start with the Atlanta City School system and move on to the Fulton County Board of Elections, they may never get to anything else in Georgia in our lifetimes.
  14. Sending good thoughts your way. I know you've had your trials and tribulations. Hang in there!
  15. Not taking jokes too well right now. Sorry. I would like to officially welcome Media Man to Pcom! Glad to have you aboard. What took you so long??? I've been working on getting you here for almost two years!
  16. Yes, he is a CM. Thanks for asking about that.
  17. Not positive but I think that's the one I have. I really like it. Takes great pictures. Only drawback is the size of the photos make them hard to load online to Pcom or to FB. Oh, mine is the S2900. I just looked at the manual. But GREAT camera!
  18. I'm with you on that! Make it a double and something good like Stoli.
  19. It is really good to see these two businesses collaborate. Long time coming!
  20. If that's at the big blue W store, they will sell them as brand-new, undamaged merchandise. Been there, done that.
  21. I liked the deer crossing sign I saw up around Kennesaw Mountain the other day. Someone had stuck a bright red fuzzy ball on the nose of the deer. Nope, probably a city girl who has no idea about wildlife.
  22. Try putting a small saucepan of cinnamon and nutmeg on to simmer while you cook. It should take care of the odors. If that doesn't work, burn some incense.
  23. I had leg pain, mostly in the side of my calf, about 13 or 14 years ago. I could feel a knot where it was the most painful. I went to the doctor, my PCP, and he ordered an ultrasound on my leg. I wanted to go to Paulding but they didn't have an ultrasound tech in at the time so they sent me home with strict orders to keep my leg STRAIGHT and elevated until time for my appointment. I had a blood clot that could have been very dangerous but it was not DVT. Had it been DVT they had orders to admit me to the hospital. They didn't tell me that when I went to imaging. I'm laying there on the
  24. Why in heaven's name would they want to know that I texted my friend about lunch or that I texted my daughter about Christmas gifts for her girls? It's not either one is illegal. Although I guess if my friend and I had skipped out without paying the bill, those texts would prove we were somewhere at lunch that day.
