It connects just fine if it's plugged in. I wouldn't think there would be a compatibility issue if that happens. You never know, though. I may check to make sure about that. thanks!

I have two laptops connected to my wireless network. I want to connect another one to it but can't for the life of me get it to connect. I have tried EVERY password code I could find--the one I set up when I set up the modem/router initially, the number on the router, the ISP information--and I tried the URL search and CANNOT get it to connect. I know it connects because I was able to sign on at my daughter's house without a problem. I simply do not want to re-do the passwords for the thing. I'll just use that laptop upstairs plugged into the router if it comes to having to change th

Restaurant Discount for Church Bulletins Extended to All

Anyone who believes there is no such thing as age discrimination isn't over 40 and has kids. Anyone who believes there is no such thing as discriminating against the disabled isn't disabled. Why should someone 17 stay in the hotel room free with their parents, when an 18 year old can't? -
We have been with Nationwide, or a subsidiary, since the early 1990s. We LOVE Nationwide. I think it's standard for replacement cost to be what they calculate to be replacement cost even if that cost is more than double the current value. Ours is insured for roughly $170,000 but has a current value of maybe $85,000 and a tax value of upper 60s. We also had insurance for our rental house through them and while they were willing to insure it for less than replacement cost, the premium was going to be so close to the same amount, we choose to insure for replacement cost. We used t

What about people who attend churches that don't print bulletins? Probably more don't print them than do. -
I've never been but would love to go. I think Douglasville did a night parade a few years ago.

As long as they aren't grown together--hemp and marijuana.

Evening in Paris Ambush (made me and my sister sneeze so it must have had something in it that we were both allergic to) Riding in the back of a pick up truck with most of my cousins piled in there. This was a tradition after our New Years, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. Yes, we did it winter and summer. Driving my dad's tractor to my grandmother's house with him holding on the back. When where I live was out in the country. Now I have a four lane road 1/2 mile from my house. Thank goodness nobody wants to build any shopp

That's something I really miss. We not only went to bed with the doors unlocked, in the summer we didn't close the wooden doors just the screen doors and they were unlocked! It you did that now in that same house, you'd likely wake up to some homeless person roaming around the house.

I wanted Shirley Temple ringlets. Instead I ended up looking more like Don King on a bad hair day. I never again had my mom give me a perm.

I'm not sure if they still have them, but in Oregon when my husband was traveling over there a couple of times a year, that is ALL they had. They did not allow self-serve gas stations. They HAD to be full serve.

They are still around. I go to one several times when I'm in Florida for the week. I get excited when a house we're interested in is within a mile or two of a Winn Dixie.
-
Same with a/c. I did not want that option on my Camaro but it came installed. Probably didn't use it the first two or three years I owned the car. And yes, in Georgia! Must be why I was always told not to use it if I had a perm or color.

Have you been looking at my pantry???
-
I saw some of those at Food Depot on Sunday. I didn't know they were still available.
-
While cleaning out the pantry a month or so ago I ran across a RED fondue pot. Some Goodwill store should have it now.

My granddaughters use those all the time. Their current favorite is "no thank you". This is usually said in response to my question "can I have a hug?"

I happen to LOVE that show but when I read his comments I wanted to slap him upside the head and say "look here young man, you're an ACTOR, you get paid to be someone you're not. Get over it". On that note, Charlie Sheen.

Dunaways Drug Stores had the BEST fountains and grills around. Next best was Woolworth's at Cobb Center (which is something you don't hear anymore either). I had to laugh about the Christmas tree. One year my dad brought home one of those aluminum trees with the color wheel. That was the LAST year we had that kind of tree. I think my mom went and bought a green, natural looking tree at Gibson's the day after Christmas for use the next 30 years. Seriously, I inherited that tree and just got rid of it a few years ago. I was probably in junior high when my mom bought it. My youngest ha

Boy, you ARE old if you remember that. my 32 year old daughter still uses those and wears tie-dye t-shirts. I taught her well.

I remember party lines! Thank goodness by the time I got in my teens we had a private line or else the neighbors would never have been able to make a call. And another thing I remember: it being long distance to call Villa Rica from Dallas. I had a friend who lived essentially where the Publix is in New Georgia and it was long distance for her to call Dallas because she had a Villa Rica number. I got my 8 track tape player at the little car stereo shop on South Cobb Drive near Cobb Center.

Prell shampoo. Hair color that actually lasted. Ironing your hair to straighten it. BTW, Christmas Seals are still around but who mails cards anymore?
-
Wouldn't you like to see that? Miss Jessie and JJ together, talking.

As with many, if not most, of the government's intentions, the intention and plan was good but the implementation lacked severely in planning and had unwanted consequences. Senate and House were almost evenly split between Democrats and Republicans that year. In fact, Senate WAS evenly split and the House was 51.5% Republican and 48.5% Democrat.

Yes, in response to 9/11.
