  1. I love old pictures and family history! How cool!
  2. While I wouldn't wish a house fire on my worst enemy and I know some of the headaches and frustrations you have and will go through, the MOST important thing is you all got out OK. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
  3. Sounds like something my four year old granddaughter would do. My heart breaks for what you're going through now.
  4. We usually see them on Thanksgiving so we've been watching for them.
  5. Saw the first of them flying south today. We were beginning to think that if they didn't get started there would be no reason for them to go. Not big flocks but a couple of small ones.
  6. Always been a fan of his.
  7. That fog on that stretch of I-75 in TN is often related to the paper mill there in Calhoun. Not always, as that is a common occurrence in TN but quite often it is because of the mill. I don't believe there is a paper mill close to the accident on I-10 near Beaumont, TX. There is a LOT of water, though.
  8. A 1974 Vega was the first car I bought but not the first car I owned. I actually liked it. One of the headlights went out when I had owned it about six weeks. As I was driving into the dealership to have the headlight replaced I saw the car I knew in my heart I was supposed to own. A metallic blue 1975 Camaro. I drove in there in a Vega and drove out in a Camaro. Best move I ever made! Kept that car for about 17 years, two of which it sat in my garage. I only sold it because I got to where it scared me. The front end had been rebuilt already and it was needing it again. We didn't hav
  9. Like Lowrider, I did that, too. But in my case, NONE of the adapters or routers seem to be compatible with my printer and/or my OS. Google Cloud Print IS compatible with both.
  10. I'm beginning to think that if I have to pay $80 for an adapter, I'd rather pay $50 and get a new printer and then give one of my others to my daughter. I really want to use the Google Cloud Print because I could print from ANY computer to my printer, even if I'm on the road. That's what I really want to do. It's only $19.95, so it's cheaper than even a new wireless printer. My computer AND my printer are compatible with it. Gonna check out using a flash drive in the meantime. I think I only have one USB on the printer but that is where the cable is hooked up. If I'm not hook
  11. Went to the office. Stopped by Kroger. Came home. Went for ride. There is absolutely, positively NOTHING that will make me get out in the crowds of Black Friday. Nothing. Period. They could give away EVERYTHING in the store plus pay you $1000 and I would stay home. Don't like crowds. Don't like shopping. The office was nice because I was there by myself. Couldn't do anything but it was quiet. Hubby went to Home Depot. He said it was busy but not bad. He went to the one in Powder Springs, so he didn't have to fight the crowds around the one in Hiram.
  12. According to HP, it is only compatible with one printer. Not mine. Compatible products for: HP 802.11 b/g Wireless Printer Adapter (Q6274A) Mobile Inkjet PrintersHP Officejet H470 Mobile Printer series Mine is an HP 1350
  13. Can you give me a little more to go on? I see it's an HP product but I have no clue what it is. Not compatible with my printer. In fact, NONE of the wireless routers I have found ARE compatible with it. Edited to add that some wireless routers are compatible with my printer, just not with a Windows 7 OS. Compatible with those on XP and Vista OS but my work laptop runs 7.
  14. I forgot about Holiday Inn!! Love that movie.
  15. Jack it up and slide another printer under it? Other than that??? PLEASE share!!
  16. Yes, that was near Cleveland. My husband traveled that stretch of road frequently and he said it could be a real bear to navigate due to fog. I've been on that stretch of road. How awful!!
  17. Miracle on 34th Street (the original with Natalie Wood as a child) Home Alone Never been a big fan of "Wonderful Life", though it's pretty good. Haven't been into Christmas the past 11 years, so I doubt that is likely to change anytime soon.
  18. It uses white, fluffy toner. We had no problem connecting our laptops to our plasma TV. Surprised me that we didn't. IF I get a new printer, I want one that uses HP 56/57 ink because I have a lot of that. I might decide to get a new printer once I use all the ink I have. Really seems pointless to get a new printer when I have two perfectly good ones. Upstairs.
  19. You sound like me!! I know enough to be dangerous. I purposely got a laptop with XP so it would be exactly like my desktop. I still couldn't get that printer to connect to it. It says it's there but then won't print a darn thing!
  20. I'll have to check that. Not sure it does. It has memory card ports and lots of them. Just not sure what USB ports it has. I'll look. Thanks for that idea. I had thought about putting things on a flash drive and doing that but wasn't sure if it would work. I know the printer is supposed to print directly from camera memory cards, though. I've looked at them. Just don't really see the point in getting one when I have two really nice printers already. We used to have our office upstairs. Since my knees have gotten so bad and my husband's back has gotten so bad, we have
  21. Actually, no the computer is not currently connected to a network computer. That computer is now a very nice HP paperweight. It was routed through that computer. I attempted to connect the printer to a laptop I leave upstairs and for some reason, it would not connect to it at all. I tried for two days and couldn't get it to connect. The ONLY way I could connect the printer to that laptop was directly. It would NOT go through the router. I went through the same setup that I had done with the desktop. Was to the point of tossing the printer and the laptop out the second story window
  22. Has anyone tried Google Cloud Print? I would really like to be able to print stuff without having to take my laptop upstairs to the printer and this seems like a great way to do it. Am I missing something? Or are there better, more computer-dummy friendly ways to do what I want to do. And to answer some questions I'm sure to get: No, the printer is not wireless and I don't want to invest in a wireless printer right now. No, a router won't work with that particular printer (I've checked). No, I can't bring the printer downstairs. I have tried to connect another computer to the
  23. We went for a ride after we ate and I was amazed at all the places open today. All the "dollar" stores, gas stations, Kroger, Food Depot. What happened to Thanksgiving being a HOLIDAY and holiday meaning a day off work?
